The app literally doesn’t work when I need to transfer or pay bill
Online banking via the app goes down too often
I might be switching to a different financial institution if the online baking via the mobile app continues to go down without warning. Customers should at least be provided notice ahead of the outages. Specifically, sometimes I cannot sign in, or just cannot transfer funds or send eTransfers. In any case, I’m hit with the “it’s not you, it’s us” screen which indicates that it’s something you guys need to fix on your end. Customers like myself will not tolerate inconveniences like this when the market is so competitive.
Latest Update is a Downgrade
The latest update is a downgrade and makes me cringe when I have to use it now. Specifically, there are three things: 1. Scrolling within an account has two scroll windows now: the main app window and the separate transactions window. When you slide you thumb up naturally to view your transactions, the main app window stays put now and the small transaction window at the bottom of the screen scrolls, allowing you to only see a couple lines at a time. This makes me then have you slide the main app window up enough that I can see enough transaction lines. Very annoying. There was nothing wrong with the way it was before. 2. All “pay bills, transfer money, e-transfer, etc” are hidden in a small, highly unintuitive button in the bottom corner labelled “Move”. When the app first updated, I needed to pay a bill and transfer funds and saw there was no more intuitive obvious button to do that and had no idea where those actions went. Finally, I noticed that “move” button and found those actions buried in there. This adds another tap to the process which, in app good practices, is a failure. Also, the options for moving money are very oddly prioritized, such as “request e-transfer” and “move $25,000 to an external account”. How are those two things ranked higher than paying bills and transferring money within your own accounts/making an e-transfer? I see that the practical buttons along the bottom have been replaced by “products” and “discover”, two things that are available in the left menu and, in my opinion, the least important things to have quick access too. Yay, more GIC marketing (this is also way too plentiful on the opening screen). This whole process was flawless the way it was laid out before and by far the worst update of the lot. 3. When paying a bill or transferring money, there is no “enter” or “done” button after entering the dollar amount which leaves a lot of confusion for how to finish typing in that screen. Eventually, I figured it out just by tapping the screen all over, but this too is a total UI failure. I’ve always had high praise for the CC app and loved working in it. Now, I avoid it as much as necessary.

I had issues with the app but I uninstalled-reinstalled the app and it started working
I upgraded to a iPhone 17, the login button after I filled out my credentials didn’t work, making the app useless on my new phone. The solution was to uninstall-reinstall the app and it works fine again.

Love the app, need some adjustments
I like how easy it is to pay my online bills, and set up scheduled payments and transfer, however paying with etransfer is frustrating with the excessive amount of times I have to log back in when I’m entering information in.
Turning notifications off cripples the app. :(
I usually always choose to have notifications off on my apps. The app stopped working. It gave me a screen that said “it’s not you, it’s us” When I went to the branch, they said the fix was to delete/reinstall the app and then to keep notifications on. Turning the notifications off kills app functionality. :(
The app is down quite often
I find that this app is down fairly often. I will try and log in and it will say “It’s not you, it’s us.” Kind of annoying.

I find the Coast Capital app very easy to use and easy to navigate so I have no complaints about it. I think it's terrific.
Not working
The app has stopped working. Can’t view account details. Pay bills or accept e-transfers. So frustrating, had to delete.

Wish I didn’t update
This new version isn’t an upgrade Lost all of my quick buttons at the bottom (Account, transfer, eTransfer, Pay Bill) When I try to pay a bill or complete a transfer, the CONTINUE button disappears. Bring back the options at the bottom Account, Bills, Transfer, Make it simple again

Suddenly after years of using the app, for multiple days I have been unable to pay my bills or send e-transfers because of some system error. This is unacceptable and the bank should cover any additional fees due to late payments

Terrible app
Coast capital has had one of the worst banking apps for years. Full of glitches and half the time I try to use it you can’t login via password or Face ID.

New updates don’t fix anything if anything they make it worse. Logging in is a pain, take forever for the app to load. Sometimes needing to close the app multiple times to get to the log in screen. Such a joke

Always fast processing. Never have any issues with security. Very reliable.
New layout broken
Update: transfers between your own accounts are now 100% broken. The app is no longer functional. The new layout is completely broken. Controls cover other controls, can't close some of them. Stuff is hidden in more menus, everything is harder to locate and use, and requires way more button presses. There was no need for a layout change, especially to one that's measurably worse in every way.
