It doesn’t really have good stuff it just keeps and keeps notifying me and it get really annoying. But it is a good way to get free stuff
Delete items no longer available!!!
I like that u can see all the different free items from different sites. However the fact nothing gets removed once the item is no longer available is irritating
I love it
It’s good there’s a lot of stuff you can get
Not everything is free
This site is supposed to be for free items. Not items for sale. I report some of these listings but they are still on the site.
Generally great…
We’ve found many great items using this app and the notification feature. However, I do wish there were a way to further specify location settings. We live on one side of a river with the nearest crossings around 15-20 miles north and south of us, yet most of the alerts we get are from the town across the river less than ten miles from us. We have no way to get there quickly or within reasonable gas usage (would take an hour to 90 minutes one way) and can’t exclude them from our notifications and still get info from this side of the river. Food for thought for the app creators/developers.
Obtaining the items
Hello I’ve have seen several items I would like, but don’t know how the site works…that is how do I contact the person disposing of the items so I can arrange to collect? Thanks. Inez Harrison I collected a mattress from a lady in central London, but it was riddled with fleas which infested my home - it would be nice if people did not use the website to discard their rubbish!
Privacy concern and more
Just be aware that eventually, if you get into contact as a receiver or giver, the other person will see you name and your actual email. You may want to set up fake accounts if this is a concern for you. I assumed this would be like Ebay and that all emails would stay on a Nextdoor page/server. Also, it is sometimes really hard to find a post that you remember seeing. Personally, i wish only the really urgent stuff would show up first, and that all less urgent stuff would appear in a second location, maybe a third location for feel good fluff. Or at least a filter button. For example, ‘i see smoke right now’ or ‘i just saw this suspicious person in front of my house’ would be top priority. It seems to get buried.

Too many requests to rate
In five minutes of browsing I dismissed the request to rate the app three times. On the fourth request I gave it one star, and froze while I was typing. Don't ask me again, I can't go any lower
Suggestion
I love this app, I would love it if we search for specific items or could save items to come back to
Very useful but “do not disturb” on iOS needs to change
I have found this app to be very useful. For a family moving into a home, you can find pieces to fill the home until you find your perfect piece to buy. A college student would also benefit to outfit temporary housing. A gardener can also find tools and decorations. My only issue with the iOS version is that you have to pick the number of hours to not be notified when “do not disturb” on the phone is enabled. Because “do not disturb “ is enabled while driving that presents an issue if you also use “do not disturb” during your sleep time. The iOS version should not have a time associated with “do not disturb.” When the phone is in “do not disturb” mode, the app shouldn’t send notifications until “do not disturb” is off. These are add on comments. 1. If I paid for an annual subscription, it ought to apply to both my iPhone and iPad. 2. The screen does not rotate on my iPad. All of my other open apps rotate to match the orientation of my iPad but this app doesn’t. 3. Too many advertisements for stuff that isn’t actually free. Free internet is the most prevalent. 5 Aug 2026 Too many requests to be rated, I pay for a subscription, quit bugging me to rate, especially given I reviewed already
Outfit my whole apartment
This is an amazing app. Do not try it. Because if you do, it will be less for me thanks.
Love it
Great stuff
Rich man’s trash is a poor man’s treasure
This is a wonderful app thanks for all the people out there that help other people out they don’t have as much as done. God bless you and I hope all your lives are wonderful.
Meh
I don't know how your supposed to text someone in your local area to collect or deliver the free item you want. For example I wanted this cooker but I have no option to text them lol 👋😂
Great app, but one feature is missing.
I really like Freebie Alerts. It makes it very easy to give away things that I no longer need and helps connect them with people who can use them. One feature I would really like to see is an option to “Mark as Claimed” for posts that I created myself. Once an item has been picked up, the only option I currently see is “Delete post.” It would be much better to have a CLAIMED status instead. That way the item would no longer appear as available, but I could still keep it in My Posts as a history of the things I have given away. I’ve seen other posts displayed with a CLAIMED label, so it would be great if the person who created the post could also mark their own item as claimed. Please consider adding this feature. It would make an already useful app even better!
Items
I’m looking for stuff, but everything’s two and three years old there’s no recent postings?
Nice
Nice and helpful
No green button
I get notifications but how do I send message. Waste of time seeing notifications of items when you can’t contact the person
awesome stuff
love i can find just about anything here
Freebie
Awful I indicated I was interested in an item, the item disappeared. I received no notice I got no information. No nothing. I noticed this morning. The item was relisted and indicated as being sold. It did not indicate that it was sold to me or anyone in particular. I attempted to find out what was going on with that and I got absolutely nowhere Whatsoever. I wasted totally wasted 45 minutes of my time trying to figure out what was going with this item that I would like to have picked up. I got absolutely nowhere.
Not a scam pretty good app
Some things I would change it’s a little bit jagged like you like eBay, but it’s better because you don’t have to pay for the app itself isn’t bad either could do with a bit of polish make it look a bit smoother a bit all in all it’s a pretty good app
Great App Straight Forward
This is a great app. I enjoy it. The only CON that I can see... is that people post items that are not free at all and or services that are not free so the post can be misleading when the person posting is really looking to get paid for what they post
Bug
It won’t let me uninstall the app
Nextdoor via Freebie Alerts
Such a great app that congregates a number of apps in one. Nextdoor alerts however cause me a problem as Nextdoor apps can’t verify my address by location. But love the app 👍🏼
Easy
Great app easy to use
Annoying
Push notifications are actually coming through every minute. Deleting the app because you can’t silence for more than 8 hours
?
How do you message the seller ?
Loved
The best app ever
Kept in the dark
I have given only m 1star because messages sent and received are no where to be found
Sin actualización
Va bien, pero no actualiza cuando algo ya no está disponible.
Free
Easy to use and people post a lot of items on here
Tons of adverts from a business for their products
Not sure why one business is allowed to put 100’s of their products on here, cheating people to believe they are for free, only to find out that it is a store and everything is for sale, they put so many of their products on here that the real free products are hard to see and find!!!
I will redo the review after.
Does this site do uk or just USA thanks in advance. If you get alerts write a review & asking the question
