Grown up
I’ve seen this app consistently improve and as a result I use it more & more
Ads ruined OfferUp
OfferUp has become unbearable to use. Full-screen ads take over while scrolling, are ridiculously easy to accidentally click, and then make you lose your place when you return. Ads are one thing - completely ruining the browsing experience with them is another. Horrible app design.
Great value
Very responsible and good for purpose
Adds are ridiculous
This used to be a great app. But there is so much advertisements they pop up everywhere. You can hardly enjoy the app. Its basically all useless Ads! I hate it now!!
Review
Ads are unnecessary & annoying, would’ve gave 4 stars but too many fraudulent ads pop up
Love this app!!! Simply what’s not to love?
Great forum to buy and sell useful items at reasonable prices, app is user-friendly, secure and afford many options to keep buyers and sellers safe. Listing options are clear and concise, promotional options are good tools and several options reasonably priced. Overall great app highly recommend!!
Horrible App
Ever since they started charging, it took away from our views and sales. Now all you see is businesses selling you stuff. It was supposed to be for regular people selling their stuff. Making a quick buck. Your stuff won’t get views if you don’t pay for advertising. Lame.
Sellers can be flaky
From my experience, when I’m interested in an item and try to set up pick up, the seller gives me the run around. This has happened to me three times. It’s so annoying.
No reply
I feel like everyone on this app has left. I have messaged several individuals and none have gotten back.
Makes me wonder????
I’ve been on this site for years & only occasionally I receive questions or request to negotiate for items I have. The activity occurs in bunches & makes me wonder since I don’t pay the extra fee for more views, are my items not continuously readily available to the OfferUp community??? ??? I wonder ???
Easy to use
This app is really easy to use. As I’m not very tech savvy. Easy to place items for sale or to find items to buy.
Account ban
This app is horrible for selling AND buying, my account got banned even though I didn’t violate any of the community guidelines and I also did the verification and was verified and still got my account deactivated for no reason at all WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
Too many pop up ads and false notifications
Use is often interrupted by ads, very intrusive. Posts should also show days that they have been active.
(resolved) banned for using the app normally
(support unbanned within 24h) i guess making an account and sending a message to a seller "hi can i pick this up tomorrow" gets you banned? nice platform buddy
great app! plus suggestions
i've used this app for years and it's been great! i'm wondering if it would be possible to build in functionality that doesn't allow people to post things for free if they're not actually free? it's false advertising and wastes people's time. suggestion: the price should be a binding agreement -- where seller must sell item at posted price or lower when they create a post and choose to sell. for those looking to trade, can there be an option to choose "trade" instead of set a price? just some suggestions...thanks for listening!
Not suggested
Nobody replied and did not get enithing nothing sold
Too many fake accounts
So I’ve been on OfferUp for years and I know that there’s been an influx of fake accounts like it’s really pissing me off like people saying they’ll meet you up somewhere you drive 30 minutes there you’re waiting and they’re like I’m there and there’s no one there same thing I was trying to sell on Xbox. The guy was like I’ll meet you at Walmart that’s fine. He says he’ll be waiting in the McDonald’s into Walmart. They removed the McDonald’s and the Walmart and I looked. The account was made that day. I only had a few review this is getting out of hand. I don’t know who decided that it’s fun to just waste people time but I’m really getting over.
Some problems
I’ve used the app successfully many times, so I like it, but it’s becoming increasingly flawed. On my M4 iPad, it scrolls to the top of the main page whenever you use the back button. Maddening. Also becoming choked with duplicate ads, often by retail businesses. If the developers are listening, please fix the scrolling problem!
So many GOOD THINGS
I get all my Coach and Dooney and Bourke from Offer Up❤️❤️❤️
Not good
I used this for a couple months too many ads, sometimes I don’t get the notifications. I get glitches. Not good ab. And lot of scammer
Outdated ads.
Is this app would delete postings after a certain amount of time it would be a good app. I would say probably 70% or more of the ads on here have already been sold and the people that post the ads are too lazy to delete them so the users are left spending hours trying to contact people who don’t care to respond because they don’t have the product anymore. I don’t think OfferUp wants to delete these ads because it attracts more users so they get more ad revenue.
Fast responses
Good stuff on here
No Longer For Personal Resale
OfferUp is clearly no longer for personal resale, it's all companies paying money to promote their products. Unless you want to pay daily or monthly to try to sell your stuff, go somewhere else. OfferUp has gone completely downhill in the last several years.
Difficult to navigate
I want more control of the specific areas I’m selling or searching in. The controls are hidden or vague finding my listings, and am not receiving notifications.
The best
Love this app so much
Stolen money
I got scammed out of over $50 and the app’s admins do nothing to prevent or get users’ money back.
Easy to use but unclear audience
On the plus side, I found the app intuitive and much easier to use than counterparts. In the downside, I posted three common items at low, low prices and have gotten only ONE message -- from an obvious scammer whose account was deactivated while I texted with them.
Good
Very helpful
Late
Response is late
Limited views even paid
Sell on several apps and wanted to try this one. Listed numerous items. One item got a premium listing and got a total of about 5 extra views. No listing got more than 5-10 views. Meanwhile,on other apps I’m getting 100s. Not enough people using and definitely not worth paying for.
Love it!
Easy to sell anything and meet up with local buyers!
Sucks
I’m trying to sell something an y’all have so many flakes on this site
Too many scammers
OfferUp is nothing special. You got a simple interface on the app. It’s basic, fine. However, they have not done enough (if anything) to prevent or remedy scammers using their platform. I’ve reported a scammer and their multiple accounts and their items are still for sale. I know their scams because I was a sucker and bought a fraudulent item. Now, I can see items for sale that show the exact same serial numbers, etc. in the listing. I’m holding the fraudulent item and looking at it for sale on other accounts even after reporting. OfferUp can do more to investigate and limit scams and report to local law enforcement. Go use Marketplace, eBay or Craigslist instead. Not worth it.
Review
Offer is great! Wish they did the promo for a week like back in the day. But overall great app.
Photos not syncing
Photos not available to select for postings. Very inconvenient
Literally AD Spam
This app used to be usable but now it’s just AD spam app. Each item you look at will get an ad popup and can’t even close it! Some you can close after 15-30 seconds but now they made it where you can’t even exit out! Just used FB market f this app!
