AI garbage
AI is just an excuse for data mining. It’s a light. It doesn’t write PhD dissertations or make fake Picasso paintings. Removing the yet another app from greedy companies. I have a lot of neewer gear but the company has gone pure greed and will no longer be purchasing from them. Another update that fixes nothing. Waste of money
Great app. Could be a touch better
Super simple app love the customization but i wish they had google home support imagine walking into the studio and not even having to open the app to get lights up and running I normally keep my lights on and turn the panel on and off inside the app so i would love if the devs added support for gh or alexa or something for automation
New update
After the new update, I no longer could connect with my cb200b light. It says that it connects it, but then I can’t find it anywhere in the app. Very disappointing with this new app layout as well.
Stable connectivity is everything
I want to give this app a higher review but it continues to struggle with finding my devices. I have a pair of RGB660 lights I use for photography and sometimes video calls. I use the iPhone app on my iPhone and I have installed it on my Mac as well. The device scanning takes a long time, and almost always fails. When I tap on one of the devices (which appear “Device offline”) it shows a “connecting…” and then Could not connect to the device.” Each of these takes idk 5-10 seconds. Sometimes, it works. For example, if I turn the light off and then back on, it may be recognized automatically or one if I tap on it. Sometimes, if I turn it on, and the bluetooth is showing on the display panel on the light the app just refuses to see the light. The impact of this is that I often must just go and switch the light off manually, which breaks any kind of hoped for continuity between sessions with the lights. Please take a deep look at the overall user experience of the light connection workflow and information you provide to the user on why a particular device is not seemingly available for connection. Please consider surfacing information like when a device was last scanned for etc.
Wild creative control in one app
Incredible creative control in one app. App can be a little finicky with lag on the touch screen, but it paired up quickly and works as advertised.
Garbage!
This app is incredibly frustrating! It’s constantly glitchy. You can press a key, feature, or button, and it won’t work. It’s almost impossible to make any changes to the features you personally want. Even editing the light colors is a hassle because the app keeps crashing every time I try!
Slider reset option
Actually not a bad app, though under the manual slider left and right buttons, there’s should be a reset button also. So if you’re running a lot of 3 minute slider shots, you can bring the camera back to the beginning without resetting the time each time
App is not user friendly
I somehow got in the personal center and can’t find how to get back to my light
Good but missing Siri / Shortcuts / IoT integration
Would love to see the ability for Siri, Apple Shortcuts, and other IoT automation support. Being able to create a simple Shortcut or ask Siri to turn on lights would be a huge quality of life upgrade. Also unsure why you can only assign lights to one iOS device. Would be great if I could be able to control lights from all of my iOS devices. Hope the above features are on the roadmap!
Not Just a Lamp
Wow. I am a beginner photographer. I had no idea my portable Key Light had so many different options after adding it to my app. I do a lot of low light photography. And as a beginner I struggle with seeing my image through the view finder until the flash discharges. That’s probably the wrong word but being able to light my scene and see it through the view finder exactly how it’s lit is a game changer. This app seems to even be able to bend light. I’m so happy and I won’t struggle with my low lights again.
Disconnects all the time! Unusable!
Can’t use the light effects as it stops as soon as the lights loose connection with the app on the phone. What is going on here? Is like a beta test pre release software! Is unusable and unreliable! I wish I could have other brand at this point. I don’t understand why everyone thinks this app is any good.
Really useful, UI/UX needs work, login is super confusing
The app is overall very nice. It took a minute to navigate. Tips: You should have a YouTube tutorial on how to navigate the app. Fix the first time registration. Have an option to register, there is currently no option, only guest. . . I’ll give 4/5 if the registration is fixed!
Annoying To Use On Multiple iPhones
I love my Neewer products, but it’s very annoying that I can’t control it with multiple iPhones/iPads. It forces you to go thru the log-in process each time you change devices and automatically logs you off your other devices. I understand this maybe fo security reason, but this is where it becomes annoying and not easy to use. Please change this. If they change this I would give it 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👎📱📲

Cant really rate an app that doesnt work. Good physical products though. Software must not be their forte

App Login
App login doesn’t work after trying to log in after getting new phone. Cant control my lights or slider as efficiently as I used to be able to. Silent error after attempting both a verification code login and with password. Tried to create a new account and that fails too. Fix your app.

Neewer app
Numerous frustrating attempts to use both mobile app or BT dongle on WIN laptop to control (2) AP150B and (1)AP150C lights. Not recommended.
Wonderful product!
I’m getting into Low Level Landscape Lighting for photography. This light panel is really cool! And the software is so easy to use.
Why is connecting impossible?
This thing has the hardest time connecting. Once you get it to finally pair, it'll fail immediately or in a few minutes or the next day.

The newer app is awesome for adjusting the various lights.
Terrible app
App shows light brightness is 100% but the light itself shows on the back that it’s 70%. Can’t change it within app or on the light itself. Trash product.
When ‘budget gear’ doesn’t feel budget…
Got into NEEWER products much earlier than I thought I did (found a bunch of NEEWER stuff for my old GoPro and DJI mini 1 in a drawer two days ago), and I realize now why it’s been such a staple in all of my photography and videography endeavors, both hobby and professional: It works. And it works WELL 😮💨. The level of creative freedom I have as a creator of unnecessarily complex images (I’ll admit that here where my staff will never see it *MUAH HA HA) is unparalleled for the price point of the lighting equipment I will be referring to for the sake of this review. The amount that I have done with these lights has consistently amazed clients and cohorts, but the amount of functionality that I HAVEN’T used keeps me excited about new potential applications. Shorty version: Great investment, Great App, Great value.
