Cannot access cameras anymore while on cellular. It’s been three weeks now since I’ve been able to view my cameras remote. Y’all have messed up the app this really sucks that I can’t view my cameras while I’m away from my home anymore garbage

App not showing live view
Live view not coming up, delay between live view and actual movement. Functions like turning light on and off fail during use
Ease of Use Settings & Monitor
I am 74 hoping for an update that is easy to understand monitor program & app. Whilst I’m sure the intention is good & the details are necessary for it to perform its job it’s so complicated to update settings from when electrician installed and he can’t help fine tune. Eg. trees have grown and movement sets off monitors. That’s an easy minor example. 🤗🤔
Range of cameras
I have the cameras about 450 feet away from the house. They seem to be transmitting quite well. Highly recommend.
Swann Sucks !
Swann, Your app is garbage. No updates ever for the floodlight 4k cams. The one camera loses wifi constantly and your app is so slow to respond. I’m constantly having to reset the cameras & no it’s not my wifi, It’s your garbage product. No wonder why you clearanced these out. These 4k floodlight cameras are not reliable and I will be switching to a different company very soon. Not happy !

Have trouble getting it when away at times
App needs fixing!
We’ve used Swann for some years now and never had any issues with the app, but since the recent update it’s become so irritating to use. The playback only lets you skip a few seconds at a time and can’t accurately find a spot in the video that you’d like to play. It used to be fine before the most recent new app design, please fix this!!
Not great, not terrible.
The app is the most unreliable app I’ve ever used. I have 2 hardwired DVR cameras and 5 wifi cameras and a 4K doorbell. The 2 hardwired cameras work probably 99.9% of the time without any real issues. The wifi cameras, far out. I have to open and close the app multiple times as they are always frozen blue with the loading image shown as if it’s trying to wake the camera but can’t. This can even be while actively getting notifications from those cameras. They’re all solar powered and NOT on any power saving mode and are set to always wake upon opening the app. It’s just so unreliable. When I hear disturbances and need to check the cameras quickly they NEVER load fist go.

When do you fix the app so many complaints and they just get ignored expensive camera to ignore all the issues being told in reviews not great customer support and both apps just getting worse with every update get new developers that listen to the complaints and fix what’s being g said stop pretending the app works and not littered with issues

Slow app & functions are old fashioned
I would expect a much better app for DVR and NVR system. Having also got Swann it allows you to fast forward and reverse 15 seconds and also allows you to easily go through timeline footage with the swipe of a button however this Swann app doesn’t have this. it would be very useful for Swann to listen to feedback such as this and put this in place. The app is very slow and antiquated. Feels way behind the times and each update that comes doesn’t change anything. I find also that to view playback takes a long time to view even with 300MB download and 50MB upload when trying to access the app remotely to check camera footage. Also a recent update has changed the the resolution when viewing life footage it’s set on SD (standard definition). It no longer allows you to view live footage in HD. This is clearly a glitch that should easily be resolved. Only on review reviewing playback does it allow you to cycle now between SD and HD?
Sometime works but sometime Not
Remote access via apps sometime works but most of the time it throws an error . It connects to the internet but having difficulty in the past and now it’s working but not sure how long ! Need lot of improvements!

Live view problems
Live view is very blurry and unable to see good at all after this last update. It was never been this way before. I don’t know why they thought this was a great idea. It’s never been a problem before.
Recent update really ruined the quality of live playback and zoom…
Hi, please fix the quality of playbacks and live footage I zoom in and it’s horrible it’s so pixelated but it only began in the last few updates. Fix please as this is a safety issue..
Been hoping for an app overhaul for years
Unfortunately we moved on to another company due to the app. I’m not sure why they couldn’t update the app after having so many poor reviews just based off app performance issues. We use to have slow home internet making the play back feature useless. We updated our home internet so when home we could use the app. But still can’t play back anything when out and about on my phone. Absolutely terrible. Can’t chose what part of the image you want to detect movement so every car driving past gives a movement notification meaning when someone comes up the driveway it’s missed in the long list of other movement notifications. I shouldn’t have to move the camera, I should be able to highlight the driveway area of the image to only make notifications. Great quality recordings, just useless app.

Great cameras and system. I upgraded my whole setup two years ago only problem is that the company has said the new system I bought is end of life and is suddenly obsolete! And suddenly all Australian retailers and Swann Australia have no cameras , But the cameras and the system 8580RN and all the cameras are still available and for sale in America I needed some replacement cameras but they are Double the price for Australian buyers, Like I said great system and cameras, I’m just very disappointed with the lack of availability of replacement cameras at the normal price and I am sure they have a database of what systems we have and we pay every month So they have my email so they could have waned us the supply will stop suddenly for Australian customers

Not good
The app really does a suck. At first I would check this app for everything cause it worked flawlessly, way better then my wireless cameras(I have hard wired). It used to load up real fast but now it doesnt reload. It just says buffering. Not reliable at all. Plus too many notifications even if you lower the sensitivity or block out any parts that are always moving and don’t want to be notified about. The APP sucks.

Swane front door camera is good however for some reason I don’t seem to be able to hear it very well when I speak to a visitor through it, it’s very quiet on the outside part they struggle to hear me

Swann LOWERED Quality
I’ve had the same Swann security cameras in my shop for almost 5 years now. I was able to get high-quality video. Now they are requiring me to get a service subscription or plan. And I am not allowed to see high-quality video anymore until I pay for the subscription. I’m not sure why this is being forced. But it makes me want to tear the system out and tell everyone not to buy it ever again.

Viewing Video in SD
To the developers, please fix viewing playback videos in SD. Previously I was able (while not connecting to my NVR recorder/away from home base) view playback videos in SD without lag. Now when selecting to view playback videos, I am unable to view at all. I can view them in HD but sometimes it is laggy however if this happened I was able to switch the video to SD and watch. I have not changed any settings but I did note that after one of the previous updates, I was unable to view in SD. Please fix.

Awesome but not perfection
I’ve been happy with my Swann MaxRanger 4 camera system overall. The cameras produce good-quality footage and have been reliable. The app can be a little laggy at times, but it works well around 80% of the time, so it’s not a major issue. I did have two cameras replaced under warranty, but the process was simple and hassle-free. Swann’s customer service handled it well, which was reassuring. My only real criticism is the mounting brackets. They’re a bit flimsy and could definitely be upgraded to something sturdier. Aside from that, I’d recommend the system to anyone looking for a good wireless security camera setup.
Reliable and non-subscription
Best option if you don’t want to pay for monthly subscription fees. I’ve had it for 10 years now and counting. Only complaint is that you can turn on motion detection notifications for ALL cameras, or NONE. I wish I could turn on notifications for just my inside cameras (when outside camera notifications are on you get notified every time a moth flies in front of a camera, so many that you have to turn notifications off.)

Latest update ruined app
After the update at the end of July the app will not connect with my Cameras. Everything was fine and worked well until they screwed up the app. I will be looking for a different system due to no customer service to speak with and it does not work now.

Unlike the Others
This is a wonderful camera and one of (if not the only) indoor camera services I’ve used that don’t require a subscription to use the basic function of the app. In fact you can see stored clips for free. I love it!

This new update is terrible… what bug fixes and performance enhancements… while I’m on night shift checking to make sure my family is safe, it literally takes forever to load… and it has nothing to do with my service or reception as my ring door camera loads instantly
Amazing but there is plenty of room to grow
It would be great to have camera pan and tilt with built in solar option that has auto detection capabilities. Let’s day camera sensor that can be triggered if something happens to the opposite direction of the lense. So it can quickly turn and record.

So my husband purchased the 3 camera and hub set due to him being gone in the oilfields and me being alone was his biggest fear with proof of two prior break-ins both while we were gone. This set is amazing you can filter where you want to catch activity specifically, make a schedule tailored to you and your life very fast and simple, and can record everything in 4k! My husband can check in on me while he is gone, and annoy me with the two way communication on all of the cameras as well. We are in the process of buying the wireless door bell as well as a couple extra cameras for our back yard. These cameras are the best and worth the investment, so far we have had them outdoors in Idaho weather conditions so far they are going strong in 115 degree heat in the day and the desert cold at night. The only thing I wish I could change is the company including three chargers for the cameras instead of one, because when it comes to charging them only their C-Cable charging cord will fit. Making it hard to charge all the cameras at once.
Terrible
This app is awful, it rarely works and almost always says that it’s not connected. Basically a worthless security system if I can only see what’s going on when I’m at home to view on the tv.
Had for two and half years but..
It keeps saying offline I go check the cam box and it is clearly showing that it is online. but overall it’s not bad at all and I love it at least it’s keeping me safe please try fix if possible thank you bye.
I guess it works
For an economical camera system, it does what it needs to. Alerts, records, and gives you live feed. It also lags, and disconnects often. The door bell is even worse. Never works. $150 for nothing.
Solar wireless
I wish the cameras were better. Sometimes they connect sometimes they don’t. They aren’t a very clear pic either. Set up was very easy. Bought a WiFi repeater, helps a little but didn’t fix the problem.
