Great service
Not working anymore!
Worked fine then all of a sudden couldn’t open the app on my phone. Deleted it and reloaded it dozens of times. Still won’t open. No help from bc hydro. Had to buy a rfid card as a work around. Not sure what happened but apparently it’s a 3 rd party app BCH rents. Poor service.
400 kw
This charger is great and super fast but the plug was hard to seat. I had to get a man to help me. Also, it wouldn’t be very safe to use it at night - especially if a washroom was needed. Otherwise, 5 stars.
Slow and unresponsive
Today while using this app, I waited and waited for it to register my commands. It seemed to freeze and slow down while I was trying to get my charge to start. Prior to that, while flipping through the charge ports, trying to find my code, it was faster. It did eventually work, but I had to try multiple times and 3 different charge ports.

Had to try three chargers before one would work at rock city not sure of the problem but the first one I tried to use worked in the end

Nice and simple to use. Very effective. Charges my 2026 Outlander PHEV in no time & is cheap!!

Now way I am relying on this app if I am in need of charging.
Suggestions
Sidney location overall experience good Would wish stations in general would have location garbage cans and recycle deposits containers And if possible a tension relief on cables to assist those with disability’s handle the cable input easier
Pain to get started
App often gets stuck at "retrieving EV data". RFID scanner doesn't work with app the way other chargers do. Unclear station names...

Needs more work
Would be really helpful if you could drop a pin on a location you are driving to. Currently you have to access the search features and locate the place you going to each time. Kinda pain in the A..

Really solid
Pretty impressive app for what it does. Surprisingly consistent, and nicely designed. My only two suggestions would be show max kW for each charger, and allow access to the charge curve graphs from charging history.
Very buggy on my 2020 iPhone.
I don’t have an old phone. I am an experienced smartphone user. I have full bars LTE. The app is very buggy. It stalls when you enter your phone number or email. It hangs every time you restart the app. It doesn’t load stations on the map all the time. Bad, bad, bad app. The chargers are fine.
Add Pay Amount Due Option
Similar to Flo they need to enable a pay amount due option below the $10 minimum threshold. I rarely use the app and wish I can pay the $2 I owe.
Fast charging
Worth the payment. My charged last for 2 weeks at very low cost.
Constant crashing. Won’t even open
Developers keep putting out needless(and obviously untested) update. The most recent update causes the app to instantly crash upon opening on iOS16. Don’t use if you have other options. One of the least usable and reliable charging apps.
Small print
The app seems to work well. The only complaint I have is that the print is quite small. It’s not as if I’m wearing my reading glasses while driving, so I end up standing by the charger trying to squint at my phone, matching up numbers.
New version is a UX headache
The old app was pretty great. Easy to see your charging status, easy to get to it. Overall a nice experience. This new version’s design is horrendous. Garish, much less legible, and a very clunky navigation. And there are two major UX issues: 1) the “stop charge” is at the very bottom of the screen…where you swipe…to view your phone. Point being it’s very easy to stop your charging accidentally, and no way to restart remotely. 2) if you close the charging status screen, there’s no way to get back to it…at least no obvious way that I can find. PLEASE fix this UX mess! Old app: 5 stars. New app: 2 stars.
Bring back the 40 minute limit
So many people now sit at the charger for hours at a time even when others are waiting. Either install more chargers so this isn’t a problem or bring back the 40 minute max charging time. Other than that the app works well most of the time. Occasional outages but they’re usually good at fixing that
Excellent service
BC Hydro chargers are reliable and more reasonable than other stations. I once needed to call Help because there was no internet service in Sayward. The helper was amazing.
Not working!
Can’t get #44 to work
Much improved
App has gradually improved but still has two huge drawbacks. 1: font is so small it makes the app almost useless. 2: STILL doesn’t say the power of the charger. I thus don’t use the app to look up chargers and use the RFID to start charging. Annoying that the app is finally getting there but has these big drawbacks.
First time’s the charm
Using maps in my 2026 ioniq 5, I easily found the station and I pulled right up to the 350kW charger for my first ever charging experience. App and charger worked seamlessly and after charging from 18% to 80% in just over 20 minutes, I was back on my way. Great app that works with other networks, too

Travelers need to know how much power is available at the stations to plan their trips. Please include the kw rates fir the charging stations.

Unreliable charge stations!!! So stressful when you need to charge your car and the charger won’t charge! Tesla station never has this problem!

Better than all the rest of the EV chargers. Straight forward, easy to use, and reliable.

$0.36 wasn’t enough they jacked up prices to $.040 it should not be more then $0.20 too bad when government is greedy
Make sure there’s money on your card
I had to call for assistance and a very helpful person answered right away and helped me navigate my problem. My card was not working because it was empty. Ooops! Then she helped me to apply the option for automatic refill, and stayed on the line until everything worked. Very helpful. She said ‘don’t even bother trying to figure it out yourself, we’re available 24-7 so just call!’
Issues
Well app keeps freezing after I login. Deleted the app couple of times and re installed it but still same.
