This app seemed like a good idea, but the constant interruptions trying to get me to pay for a premium features, brings my mood down rather than up
Is it really free?
When you first sign up, it appears that there is no way to continue with registration without opting into the optional “free trial” upgrade. I’m very leery of something that is designed to push a free trial that requires you to remember to cancel it or to respond to a reminder in time to prevent being charged. So while the app appears to be designed to help others and has a heartfelt story behind the creator, the execution of pushing money money money first does not align. I was able to get around the screen. The only gave me the option to participate in the free premium version, but I also have 30 years of experience with technology. So for less technically inclined people when you get to that screen, just close the app completely then go open it back up.
Grateful for this app!
I absolutely love Gratitude. The reminders help me to remember to stop and think of what I’m grateful for, to count my blessings. Plus it is super cool to have a positive way to look over my year and see snippets of my life through gratitude and pictures. Plus I love being able to connect with my closest friends in our little gratitude group. ☺️
Cool but free sucks
They make free suck by forcing you to upgrade if you want to post a thing you just wrote or you have to save it as a draft and post the next day but I can’t find my drafts the next day and then it kills the streak too!

Deleting streaks and disappearing days
I enjoy the app; however, I keep losing my streaks and some of the days I have completed get deleted. I think it might be if I do not skip through the pop up but I am not 100% sure. I did not have any problems for over 3 months so I am not sure what changed.

Sneaky
I tried using the app, and although the content is nice, it wouldn’t let me continue without agreeing to try “premium” for 3 days, which I clicked on… but then it signed me up for the whole year and charged me $50 that cannot be refunded - even through Apple. Very irritated by this gouge - not very “grateful”!

Seemed good until I was charged for a full premium year..
Downloaded the app and planned to use the free version then 7 days later I was charged a full year as a premium customer. No warning, and no refunds. Not the kind of business I care to support.
Good but not enough flexibility
It’s a good app overall, but too much of the basics is locked behind the paywall. The premium tier is pricey for what it offers, and meanwhile some genuinely minor things are paid-only like editing an entry after you’ve submitted it. That shouldn’t be a premium feature. I got discouraged more than once by small blocks like that, and ended up opening the app maybe twice in a month instead of daily. I’d rather see the free version stay functional enough to build a habit around, with premium made attractive on its own merits rather than by holding back basics. Right now the restrictions push people away instead of converting them.

I used to really like this app until they started hiding my older entries and refusing to show me unless I pay. One of the things I was most interested in was being able to look back on days and see my old entries/reflect!! Just another cash grab app hiding any and every possible feature they can behind an unnecessary paywall, I wouldn’t recommended

Just another app that makes you pay after the first use
Seems like a lovely app and I love the concept and layout but after you’ve done the first day you have to pay for everything.
Suggestion
Instead of "circles" you should have an option to just add "friends" so you can share onto your profile and your friends you have added can see your post so you don't have to post into different "circles" as some of the people in that circle may not want to see what the other people in the circle post.

This app is a great way to journal your gratitude and daily thoughts as well as to share them with friends, family, or the Gratitude community. It’s lovely to see where every shares from and how we all have similar things that bring us joy and keep our hearts grateful.
Love the idea
I really loved the idea and the app in general but it sucks that I can’t share any picture from my gallery, only from a small selection.. I don’t understand why.
A Staple App!!
i’ve absolutely loved this app since i found it!! it has taught me to be conscious of countless gifts that God continues to bless me with each day. it always brings me joy to see the great things happening in the lives of my friends as well!

A friend introduced me last week and I thought I would try it out. Unfortunately when I downloaded the app, the UI made it seem like the only option was to start a free seven day trial on the yearly plan, but I was assured that I would be reminded before the week was up to avoid being charged. This, of course, didn’t happen and I woke up this morning to see that I was charged $55 for the renewal. I’m incredibly disappointed that no reminder was sent and that I am now out $55. This feels like a total waste of funds and I will not be using Gratitude Plus any longer due to this predatory behaviour. This is a good app! I just wish the account set up wasn’t so dishonest.

What a great app, it is so many features whether you just want to jot down a couple things that you’re grateful for each day and keep a streak of doing that daily, or if you want to write more in a journal, share with other others, there’s so much to this app, the free version as well as the plus. It changes something inside you as you write down the things you’re grateful for. And I love that I can have the widget on my phone and daily it will give me things that I wrote down that I was grateful for from months ago.

This is such a great app! Not addicting but still has a nice accountability/social aspect. I love an easy reminder to create gratitude neuro-pathways! Great way to connect with family too

My Take on Gratitude
I’ve only had the app for a few days, and it has been a great addition to my life, something everyone should apply to their personhood. It allows me to view the positive in my life from a new perspective, seeing things I wasn’t aware of prior!

I love this app more than I thought possible. It makes me focus on what really matters and the insights it provides from what I’ve written in a week are just beautiful. Highly recommend.
Maximum Frustration
For an app that is meant to help people find clarity and peace, it does a great job at doing the opposite by constantly taking a maximisation approach, pushing premium to the user constantly and advocating for ‘additional features’. The UI is confusing and unclear with only a small button for the main feature of writing a journal entry. Most frustrating experience is that you cannot make a journal entry for the day before without paying for premium. Users like myself who go to sleep past 12am and want to write a gratitude journal for the day in reflection are forced to write for the date after. It creates a bad experience as I might go to bed early the next day and I can’t journal. Unless developers take this feedback, I’d not recommend this app

I am doing this as writing gratitudes down has never been consistent. How often are you on your phone or have it near, like me it’s a lot, so it’s really helpful to have this app, something that is aesthetically pleasing but easy to use, at the tip of my fingers. I love the idea of the community to see other people’s thoughts, the only downside is that you have to create your own circle rather than join one. I also committed and paid the £15 for the year, I love a free app, but it’s on my 2026 vision board to practice more gratitude, hopefully paying for the app will encourage it more so it’s not a waste.
