Newbie
This board game was my intro to tabletop game and I specifically chose one with an app to help me make it smoother. I love the app, I’ve played twice and it saves my game and has not been a problem. I recommend the game and app both.

No sound
The game seems to be nice but the app plays with absolutely no sound in my iPad. I have no idea why.
Unbalanced game-play
I want to love this game. I got it as an intro to role-playing games for me and my sons. So far, after four scenarios, it has proved unwinnable. If it were just me, I would chalk it up to needing to learn better strategy, but it’s to the point for my youngest son that he doesn’t want to play any more.
Great app for a great board game
The board game lotr journeys into middle earth is one of my favorites. This app is a great companion for it, though either play it on an iPad or computer, it isn’t great on the phone.

Amazing Game and App
Literally maybe the best board game I have ever played and the app is a serious part of that! Genius!
Not good
Full of fake “Tolkien” names, inaccuracies and stupid story lines. Awful.
Great Game
Love the game, love how thought out the game is. Love the accompanying app. The rules are very clear and easy to play without a lot of time to learn the rules. The only “fix” would be to allow the campaign to be loaded on a different device. For example, we loaded the app on my son’s phone not knowing we could only access it from his phone. Would be ideal if we could access it from my iPad for future campaigns.
Jeux super , compagnon application médiocre
Rien à dire sur le jeux mais il faudrait revoir l’app. J’ai perdu toutes nos partie (obligé de remettre à zéro mon ipad) et impossible de les récupérer car aucune sauvegarde sur le cloud. Il nous faut tout recommencer. Vous perdez quelque étoile à cause de ça. Nombre de campagnes assez limité. Que fait on quand on a finit les campagnes disponibles (même celles des extensions et des achats intégrés) ? En général, je n’aime pas rejouer un scénario déjà finit, car il n’y plus de surprise … ce serait bien s’il y avait plus de campagnes dont certaine qui se limiterais à une mission pour une partie d’une soirée. Et, le top serait même d’avoir un éditeur de scénario. Je serais prêt à payer pour cette option et ouvrir plus de possibilité pour le jeux et augmenter le plaisir à essayer les scénario de mes amis et de ma famille.

Please refund my money. My kid bought this under my acct with the intention that through family sharing, he could use it on the iPad. The purchase is not restoring to the iPad. He used his own money to pay for it and is very disappointed. purchases won’t work on the iPad and my phone is too small to see the game on. Please refund.
Cool app!
It’s a cool app, the narration is cool. Because of this app, you’re able to run the game solo, which is super cool. Not a ton of tabletop rpg games that are solo. I wish the UI was a little bigger though, but besides that, it works perfectly, no crashes.
Fun game, way too greedy
The game itself is pretty fun, but I feel that having to pay an additional 6.99 for the extra campaign when I have already spent almost $80 for the game itself is ridiculous. The second campaign should be included in the purchase of the game itself. I understand the expansions themselves but this campaign should have came with app. I feel like I’m being squeezed dry.
Great game - VoiceOver feature misleading
We really enjoy the game and the app. The person who gave it to us believed the voiceover was included. But ONLY THE CAMPAIGN INTRO has narration. Please add narration to all the pop up dialogs!! The game is cumbersome without it. Narration for searches and interactions would be great too, but at least narrate the dialog boxes. The game also needs a way (list) to see the info revealed during an adventure. There’s no way to ‘scroll back’ if we forget what we read, or accidentally close a dialog window. We love the game. Please add those two things!!!
Fantastic Game, buuuuuuut…
This game is fantastic, excellent for lotr fans and board game players, but, downloaded an update and it wiped our save games, not sure if it’s something to do with my iPad or iCloud storage, but will rate this higher if this fixed.

I was going to get the stickers too but …
Plenty of people have covered this game so I thought I might reach the developer here about the stickers. They're beautiful but only the ring has a transparent background which makes them more difficult to use. It's generally fine if you want to use one at a time but I enjoy using multiple stickers together or a single person or character pasted to a text message. The design of these makes most of these be standalone only. I'd love to see background and characters separate (while still offering the originals) and I'd happily buy them.

Купил в Стиме доп главы, когда захотели на приложении продолжить, тут ничего не подгрузишь, ни сохранений ни доп сценариев, сценарии вообще заново предлагает купить. Приложение в итоге оказалось бесполезным и разочаровывающей, соответсвенно оценка значит не может быть хорошей. Само приложение хорошо выглядит поэтому ещё две звезды, а не одна.
Won’t open?
It looks like an incredible app, but i can’t get past the very first screen, ‘loading assets…’. Not sure what to do here, my internet is fine, everything works, loads or plays. Help?
Love it!
This is an amazing game! This would be a perfect game for a lord of the rings fan. One of my favorite parts is you can pick your choice on what to do, which is what make it so cool! I’m glad they added the background music too, for some reason it makes me really imagine what‘s happening. I hope I can buy the actual game some day. Though I am still learning this app, it’s very fun! C: Also, a lot of the game rely on your imagination, which is why I like it, but you may think it is boring if you don’t expand your imagination.
Just stop making these types of middle earth games
I JUST WANT A GAME WHERE YOUR AN ORC Captain there is no video game where your an orc captain and there is no App Store game where your and orc captain is it that hard to make a video game or and App Store game like that or both huh?
Great for Lord of the Rings Fans
I love how this app has campaigns that are outside of the stories told in the books. However, I do wish that 1. There were more campaigns, and 2. That they were all free(I don’t count campaigns you need to buy the expansion for). Overall, I love this app!!

I like this setup so far. But is there supposed to be sound? It hasn’t come through on 2 different ios devices ive tried.
Excellent app! My favorite game ever! Transfer data
This is my absolute favorite game, it is excellently designed, strategic, perfectly challenging, fantastical and so much fun to play! It excellently incorporates the lord of the ring’s theme and has phenomenal gameplay. My only suggestion is to make it so the save data can be linked with an account that can be accessed in the app through multiple devices so that it is not only locally stored and gone forever if you get replace your device or want to play on your computer instead of your phone. If this was added it would be absolutely perfect!

I’m enjoying this companion app very much! Might I make some suggestions as someone who also played the living card game and thought the same for that game: it would be great to have an update that overhauled some of the visuals and audio in the app. Perhaps when an enemy appears, besides just the description have some cool art (even if still art) and some neat audio effects. Maybe when searching a cairn or bush have a nice image/art pop up too. When attacking after entering values perhaps have a nice quick animation of a hero or enemy swinging a weapon....basically some nice visuals/audio to go along with each descriptive element. Finally, I think it would be good when the players decide who’s turn is next, to have a portrait button on the app to press so the app knows who is going next. This way it can know if someone can’t attack ranged because gimli is selected, etc. or to know when someone has exhausted their 2 actions for that round, etc. All in all very good but I think can be improved greatly with some really nice artwork and audio as descriptions pop up.

Great game, good app
I’ve really enjoyed playing this game, but the app misses a lot of translations for Portuguese, and it have a few bugs, nothing major, but anoying
Outstanding game!
Been playing for many months with friends and it’s a ton of fun! Great mechanics and gameplay as well as a decent story. I’ve played the app versions of Descent and Imperial Assault and I love both of those, but this has some very unique features and very fun gameplay that make it more than worth checking out!

App works great, but would be nice if the developer would allow file sharing or a way to export/import the save files to make it easier to use multiple devices. Sometimes I want to use my iOS , Android, or Steam app.
Campaign stuck on device with NO iCloud sync
There is no way to save, backup or move a campaign across devices. If the device you start on dies, then your campaign progress is permanently lost as well. How was this not considered?!?

App needs help
My husband and I like this game however we have had the app crash on us so many times and each time we have to delete it then we have to start the whole campaign over again. Very frustrating! There needs to be a way to have a login so you can save your game somewhere other than just directly on the app so we can pick up where we left off! You can only play the first level so many times.
Great app, needs more campaigns
I love this game, and the app is amazing. It really is genius and makes this game unlike anything I’ve played before. Here are a few things I’d like to see: -More campaign options. This was actually a huge disappointment. The game is expensive, so to play 13 adventures and then be finished with the campaign, with no other campaigns available, is kind of a bummer. Yes we will go replay Bones of Arnor with new characters again and it will be different and fun, but still, there should be more options for a game that’s nearly $100. I know another will be coming out to purchase, but it seems like it should have started with 3-4 available. - I love the narrator at the beginning and end of the campaign. I would love it if there was an option to have the narrator read the flavor in each adventure - There is no way that I can find to “undo” or go back to reread something that just happened. There were a few times we skipped over something too quickly, or hit a wrong button, then couldn’t go back. - An option to keep the screen awake would be nice. -The “chronicle” button on our app doesn’t work in some adventures, but does in other. It just sort of crashes and closes the app when we try to go to it. Again, the app is amazing and as far as I know, really unique. Since it’s so new I hope a couple of these things get taken care of!

Great app but has issues.
We have played three missions now and the app has crashed five times will playing the third mission. Also, why isn’t there a save and continue option? Could you also make the banner icons a little bigger. I’m using an 11 inch display and it is difficult to see them. Can you make it were your campaign can be loaded on different devices?

I love Tolkien middle earth immersion and this app and game did not disappoint!
Disappointed
Overall this game is a waste of my time! I’m a huge fan of Lord of the Rings and this game just isn’t the middle earth we all love! Please make a better game! I would not recommend this game to anyone who likes the books and movies! Also, the tutorial took forever and it is really confusing where to go! I would like to play with the characters and actually fight not swipe on the card! Please improve!
The road goes ever on and on...
Going to try to keep this short and try to add useful suggestions as I play the game. Sooo... the game is awesome. FFG has come up with an amazing game, very impressive. The app helps to reinforce the Middle-earth theme with great graphics and immersive but unobtrusive audio track (including both music and ambient sounds of nature). Normal when I open a new FFG game I expect it to be very rules-heavy and complex. Not the case here! With just a little bit of patience I was able to get my 10 y.o. Playing this very easily. Suggestions- On the player cards each Stat Icon has a specific shape and a unique color. The app, when instructing you to make a skill test, only displays the Stat’s *shape* displayed in white. It would make it much easier to quickly identify which stat to use if the app displayed it in the corresponding color. Easy fix that could really make things less confusing for new players. Thanks for a great game!
I prefer mansions of madness
I love MoM, so as a LotR fan I thought I’d love this, but I don’t. The shuffling of tiny decks gets on my nerves, and I find the story aspect quite weak. I think fantasy flight could have done better, and have. Also to charge the same of MoM is crazy, as there’s a lot more content. Luckily, I got it cheap somewhere.
No Sound on iPad
Would love to give this 5 stars as the game is fantastic but I don’t get any sound on my iPad.
