What people like
- Dark mode looks great on tablets
- Media viewing features are really awesome
- It feels much faster than other apps
What they complain about
- It stopped working after Reddit changed rules
- You cannot log in or refresh auth
- Videos often play without any sound
- The interface is confusing and not intuitive
Great app, except…
Easily the best Reddit client based on features, but the recent API issue broke the app
Still not working!
When is the app going to get it license ability to show the Reddit content? It's been 3 months?
Was working great but …
It seems it’s no longer authorized. Have tried updating my token. Logged out and Reddit won’t let it browse anonymously or let me sign back in with it.
Great app, until it stopped working. Hoping it gets fixed!
It stopped working a few days ago. Content that was already loaded previously is still visible but it can’t fetch any new data. It keeps saying “The operation couldn’t be completed. (http error 401)”
app no longer logging in any account🥀
this was my fav app and no longer runs logging in 🦧im so freaking sad
Was great now not working
Have been using the app for years. Everything has been fine. I noticed for the last week or so the app has not been working and has been giving me an error when I login. Does anyone know what’s going on?
Seems to be very broken
At first I couldn’t sign in. Then it logged me out and I can’t sign back in as the app gets hung up on Google sign in.
Great app when it works
Trying to refresh the authorization after repeatedly getting 401 error and it’s not working. I log in without a problem and am asked if I want to give permission to MultiTab. When I click Accept, I am taken to a page on the Reddit site that’s blank except for { } at the top. And I’m still not logged into my account. I love MultiTab for Flickr and never have any problems. I paid for the Reddit MultiTab, but at this point can’t access my account.
Too limited, literally…
I get that this is largely (perhaps almost entirely) Reddit’s fault, but even after paying for the app, the rate limit is laughably low. In the less than half hour I’ve used the app since paying the subscription fee, I’ve received the “too many requests” pop-up several times. It’s ridiculously unusable for even a basic user, let alone someone who would actually want to view more than a dozen posts. The app (in terms of design) is decent enough, but that rate limit is a dealbreaker. I would NOT recommend this.
Feel bad
The Reddit developers really screwed these guys over. I hope they get this resolved. This was a very helpful app for viewing media
This is a brilliant app
I hope the developer can work with Reddit to get it back for us. Being back on the Reddit app is like going from a Cadillac to a Yugo.
cant login
login returns {}
Cannot log in
Opened authorization denied, please fix. Looks like the app has been block by Reddit.
Paid subscriber for years but don't like new price increase
I love Multi tumblr reddit app. I paid a one time fee and its awesome. I guess the app developers learned the mistake of a one time paid fee so now they are to taking advantage of increasing a yearly subscription fee, I wouldnt mind if it was worth it but the developers has done nothing to make the app better except cash in on subscribers.
Great way to view Reddit but not in light mode
If you use dark mode on your iPad, this is really useful. If you use light mode, the text that gets posted shows in pale grey on white, which is just dumb!
Love this App!
I would gladly pay for this app to be up and running again. There is no better way to navigate Reddit than using this app!
Developer Failed to Game Reddit API; App is Bricked
Used to be a great app a few others provide this view of media with filters and great search. However, Developer Failed to Game Reddit API; App is Bricked
Good app but missing features
In general it works really well. The interface is frustrating and not always intuitive, and there is no support or forum or user manual or anything. Can’t save or unsave posts? No idea, there’s no documentation.
What is this?
I’ve tried a dozen different 3rd party apps for Reddit over the years. This one is, by far, the worst UI I’ve ever seen. It’s a convicted, jumbled mess, and lacks any intuitive design. I’d be surprised if this app survives much longer. I’d even rather take my chances with the official app that no one is into
Okay
I can’t figure out how to access communities that have been joined. I don’t see a way to access chat. Using a web browser seems easier to me.
App not working anymore… For now.
This app was fantastic until a few days ago. It is no longer working at all. Hopefully a fix is coming soon.
Crash
App crashes
Is there any updates can improve these issue?
I’m using MultiTab for Reddit, but videos often play without sound or are converted to GIFs. Is this a known issue or a setting I need to adjust?
No dark mode unless you pay
No dark mode meant it’s an instant delete for me. I would consider purchasing but won’t even try it without dark mode
Average
App is good but ads and locked features set it back compared to other reddit apps.
I love this app so far
Only had it for a week, but at the moment I'd say Multitap is way better than any reddit app I've used before. Bulk image download, downloading without opening posts, media view, so many awesome features.
App no longer works
I understand why it’s not working but I paid for access to this app. No attempts to refund have been made. No updates or timeline when service will be restored has been announced. Only a vague blurb in their app description is all there is. Love the app, but not lately. And I don’t love how they are handling what is essentially a deathblow for their app and users.
Great when it works
Tried a bunch of different browsers for Reddit because for some reason Reddit is committed to looking like 1998. I like this one the most, but it gives quirky error messages fairly frequently. But the different ways of viewing feeds is so much cleaner than anything that I’ve used.
Fix the audio on gif playback ?
Great app Only issue/concern I have with it.
Too Good for Reddit
Make a Mac app for this. It is so good on iOS!
HTTP Error 401
App was working fine untl a week ago, then it stopped fetching new data from subreddits and continued to pop up an http error 402 message. Hoping there’s an easy fix to get the app back to working order again.
Good third-party reddit app but...
This is actually a good third-party Reddit app that actually works. Love the dark mode. I also like how you can choose the theme, but i really wished you could post stuff... I also really want a notifications area. Thats all im asking. This app has so much potential.
Something needs to be fixed
Why isn’t there a volume option? When there’s a video I want to watch I can’t hear it.
Best Reddit viewer
The multi tab subreddit is the only way to use Reddit for me now.
App won’t finish installing
I’ve used the previous versions of MultiTab for Reddit but started getting a 401 error. I tried deleting the app, then reinstalling. Now the install hangs when I press “Accept”. A blank Reddit page opens up with only two brackets: {}
Could be better
If other user comments/posts were not separated like in Apollo
Great overall, not for gifs with sound
Great app overall, good performance but gifs don't play sound and dark mode is premium only. Had to uninstall
Excellent
Wonderful program. Fast surfing of Reddit.
Not able to reauthorize
After many years using the app, now it said the authentication token expire and I cannot login again.
Not bad!
This is a review based on exploring the app without logging in - thank you for this- just allowing that alone made me feel it was a trustworthy endeavor. I typically loathe things with in-so subscriptions but liked how the interface looked and thought I would give it a try, and was surprised the yearly price was in my opinion very reasonable. I hate ads too so if I were to use this app it would only be the ad-free experience. But it’s not quite there yet.?I would like to see a couple of features added before seriously considering supporting the premium version - I especially would want a way to sort all my favorite saved posts in to categories for easy finding at a later date. But, not bad! Not bad at all! And that’s a compliment! It’s hard to find decent apps these days.
This app helped me to goof my goober
u
Doesn’t Work
Will not log user in
Ain’t no way boy
There is now a volume where my pause button should be. WHY IS MY PAUSE BUTTON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN.
