What people like
- Works great on iPad and Mac
- Smooth experience with tabs and swiping
- Good potential for a free app
What they complain about
- Ads interrupt you constantly
- Keeps crashing when you open it
- Support never actually helps
My favorite reddit app
It is the only app with tabs and swiping for subreddits
should be pulled from app store
abandonware. junk. ripoff.
Slide Successor
Great job to resurrect Slide. Some features are missing, understandably. I would love the option from Slide to collapse comments automatically. Keep up the good work.
Needs Update
The app occasionally crashes when clicking on photos or goes offline. Needs an update for new iOS
Gallery issues
Opening images in a gallery causes app to crash
the best reddit 3-part app
i use it on iphone and mac every day. i love it can not believe it's free!
Ads galore
Ads ruined it.
updating review—
bug got fixed where i couldn’t log into my reddit account, so this went back to being usable. i’m happy with it, but there’s a feature keeping it from being a 5 star app: the reddit gifs don’t play within the app. i don’t know why but in some of the subs i follow, none of the gifs work within the app. i tested this with other 3rd party reddit apps and they don’t have the issue, only this one does. overall though other than this, it’s a pretty solid app
Please add option to open links in MS edge
Great potential, but has some simple flaws that cause great inconvenience It causes problems because I have all my bookmarks and tabs on a different mobile browser. Also, I have this app installed on Mac, and it used to work great, but now it is always stuck in offline mode as of a couple weeks ago or so. Not sure how to fix. I really, really liked having this app on Mac because I could have widget for subreddits on my computer’s background. (Mac/iOS apps have cross compatibility, especially on iPad) I will update this review if some of these issues are fixed. Thanks.
No longer fun
Ads killed this app
Could be the best Reddit app on iOS
Could be the best Reddit app on iOS except for the LONG UNSKIPPABLE ADS
One of the Best on iPad
I’m not claiming this is a perfect app, there’s much to do, but when it comes to iPad reddit clients, the pickings are thin and this is one of the most modern and smooth experience you can have on iPad. Please continue your work!
Could not log in
I could not log in to Reddit, which makes the app useless. Every time that I tried, I got a message saying “Something went wrong, try again later.” I corresponded with the developer, but he was no help before finally ghosting me.
Unable to log in
Login window opens, but after logging in, you stay in internal browser pop up. It does not connect your login to the app
Ugh like Facebook for reddit, but worse
Do you want to see the same ten subs in your feed everyday? Do you want to be inundated with messy illegitimate content? Then this is the app for you. The UI is the worst, image thumbnails are poorly displayed with related text missing. You can’t see your favorite content in a readable style. I finally switched to an older client that neatly displays everything but is missing a lot of features and I am so much happier because of it. I now see content I followed and haven’t seen in months because Focus handles it so badly. Don’t feel bad about deleting this awful app.
Cannot log in
Cannot log in gives. Black screen with no options
Fix redgif issue and I will subscribe
It’s fixable. Don’t know why he refuses to fix this.
Somehow has more ads than the official reddit app
This app is a revamp using the now open source code from Slide, however the dev got overly greedy where the app is loaded with overly intrusive popups. App switch? Popup ad. Open five links? Popup ad. I wouldn’t mind paying once for supporting the work but the guy also wants a subscription model to remove ads… Come on man, have some sense.
