Getting better and better by the hour!
App doesn’t work
It wont let me select worker so i cant even get past the first page of the app
Easy to use but a bit flaky
When I initially tried to use the app for the first time to upload medical data to my helmet, the app wasn’t working properly. It started working itself a couple days later. I’d have preferred for the developers to find and fix the issue, hence the 4* review.
Ouf.

Great Tool for Work and Home!
I use this working in an industrial setting and on my ski helmet for recreational use. Whatever gives me the best chance of making it home if something happens!
App will not open
Purchased a $150 hard hat partially because it had the safety chip. But Twiceme app will not open even after downloading and removing it several times.
Get back timer
Would the get back timer not be best by messaging your contacts, or chosen contacts. Like my parents won’t get the app because they don’t need to, but if would be good for them to get a message if I’m not back in time
Not well made at all
App is made very poorly. Many translations are incorrect, when you edit your emergency infos the form is bugged as it does not load your existing infos properly, the scanning function works half of the time as often the iOS prompt says "scanning complete" but the app does not show the emergency infos, quite scary when you know this is the stuff that is supposed to save your life in case of an accident… There’s also no way to transfer your emergency infos to a new phone, so it really sucks having to refill the glitchy form when your emergency details are still available on your safety gear. Very disappointing overall.
Amazing idea in theory, can’t get NFC to upload info
New Oakley mountain bike helmet, luckily twICEme was just an added feature, not one of my deciding factors for the helmet as I already have emergency contact info on my phone and watch. Loaded all info in to the app and failed to scan on, near, around the twICEme icon on my helmet. NFC payments work fine as I use that daily so something is not working with where the NFC chip is in my helmet. Oakley manufacturing issue or app issue with NFC capabilities unsure, but partnership QA needs to be reviewed.
Just awesome!
Making my everyday life and free time smarter and safer. Awesome features that both prevent and help in the event of incidents or accidents.
App won’t even start
I have a diamondback tool belt and it says to download this app. I’ve deleted and redownloaded it and it doesn’t even start up, just crashes right away. The idea is cool but if your app is total garbage, what exactly is the point?
Fantastic Technology
Great technology, easy to use .
Very frustrating.
I agree with Tyler as this is incredibly difficult and awful way to upload the medical ID.
Germany
The app would be better if they were in German
Not ready for use.
The app is difficult to navigate and I wasn’t able to get it set up despite having a POC helmet with the feature and an iPhone. Great idea but needs considerable work.
Game Changer!
I use a Studson helmet and it’s been incredible helpful. Having my emergency info directly embedded in my helmet gives me a peace of mind once I let my team know what to do if I’m unconscious after an incident. Setup is super quick and easy, highly recommend!
Okay, but absolutely over-engineered
The programming of the NFC tag with an iPhone is trivial - once you ignore the app and follow Apple’s instructions: take any phone cover off and place the phone with its top part over the NFC tag to begin the upload (the NFC antenna is next to the cameras, but you almost have to make surface-to-surface contact for the transfer to work). That’s it, you can now uninstall the app! Anything else the app offers is the option to share your and your family’s/friends’ data with the vendor. You also get notified about how many fun things you can do with the app (not your NFC-tagged equipment). It looks like someone figured it might be a shame to let all the juicy user data go to waste for monetization purposes. Absolutely over-engineered.
Great Tool To Help Save Lives
I just download the App. I am a manager, over seeing field operations on projects in commercial construction so I was looking for a simple way to help myself and those whom I work with in the event of an emergency. Being able to have a safe, accessible place for a first responder to get your media history, insurance, and loved ones contact information is priceless! I always use PPE when I am on the job or on my mountain bike, so having this as part of my equipment kit is a no brainer! -J
App crashes on startup 100% of the time.
What else to say? I used the app to upload a profile to a bike helmet. Then I got another helmet a few weeks later and when I tried to open the app to upload my profile to the new helmet, it crashed. And again. And again. Deleted the app and reinstalled. Still crashing. Like others have complained, it was hard to get it to register with the helmet and now with the crashing, it is 100% useless. I regret ever uploading a profile to my helmet because now it can’t be removed or updated.
The developers do a great job here!
I’m pretty much amazed by how fast next updates are issued and how important I feel as an user giving you feedback. All the issues I’ve mentioned previously were fixed with updates within days. Well maintained application, does its job and has responsible developers onboard
The app won't pair with my POC helmet
It simply doesn't connect...so there is no way to upload my medical information onto the helmet as advertised.
Fantastic Solution
This is a fantastic solution and should be used by anyone with a TWICEME NFC medical ID. After entering my personal information and contact data, the upload took seconds with my POC cycling helmet and this was using an older Apple iPhone X with the latest iOS. Highly recommended!!
Yeah, nah.
Way too difficult just to set up. How is someone who finds you supposed to know what app to download or what to do if they have never heard of this. Even if they do, they will likely give up when this thing fails to scan for minutes. Going to stick with the ol' tape the info to the inside of my helmet and carry other important info on me method. This just seems like a data grab considering how poorly it works.
So I got it to work
There’s a specific touch point on your phone where you need to be exactly on it in order to upload your iD. The little twICEme pamphlet/tag your equipment comes with, has a diagram of where the touch point is exactly. I left a 1 star review initially because I could not for the life of me upload my ID. Until I re-examined the that tag, saw the diagram and placed my iPhone directly onto that point (on the iPhone right next to the camera) - as before I was just blindly placing my phone on the equipment like a grocery store card reader and it wasn’t working - even moving it around didn’t work. It has to be directly on that touch point I do believe the developers can make this more clear in the app, I nearly threw out that tag with the diagram on it, gave up and left a bad review like everyone else here.
App will not scan any safety helmet
Title says it all. This system is garbage, I hope the helmet works better than the app
Pretty straight forward
I have an iPhone 12 and a tectal helmet, creating a profile and uploading to helmet took less than 2 minutes. Maybe people is having issues with older phones and OS
Complete marketing gimmick?
Bought a 2022/23 product with TwICEme as a feature. Tried for a couple hours to scan the NFC code with an iPhone 14. No luck. I’m really not sure how this would ever be useful in the real world if it’s so difficult to read the NFC tag in a controlled environment. Never ended up getting it working. Just have a huge ugly icon on my helmet I guess.
