almost gave it five star rating, almost, however, the location dot appears way too inconsistently. i paid for having the adds removed, and if the developer could fix this, i’d be willing to pay even more (within reason lolz) otherwise, the app pretty much delivers what it’s designed for, and unlike most other similar apps, it does not bog you down with unnecessary and or useless information. all i need is where i was at what time, and the app almost always delivers that information if and when the developer manages to fix the location dot issu, i will not hesitate to give it a five star rating i changed my rating today (7.30.23) to two stars since the app simply does not work anymore. i hiked for two hours today and i get a reading of 0 steps. time to either update it or discontinue since you already have my money

Not registering most activities
I walk at least a mile everyday. I have my iPhone 13 on me at all times. This app shows shows I only walk every other day or so and anywhere from 50-1000 steps, which is completely inaccurate. It worked accurately for the first couple of weeks, even registering bike rides. Now it is completely useless. I have purchased the app and have my iOS and all other apps up to date so there is no reason on my end for this app not to work.
Good app. Wish it was a bit more specific on where you’ve been
This really is a light version of the old Moves app which I loved! Bought by Facebook then dropped the old Moves had very helpful details on where you’ve been and how long and where you walked. This app has some of that but isn’t as accessible with that info. The map feature is a bit unclear. I wish they’d put all the info on one screen. Nonetheless a good v1 which doesn’t seem to drain the battery which was a big issue with the original version of this program.
Hmmmmm…
I used to love this app in the earlier version. After the devolver appeared to abandon it some years ago, so did I. One of the things I really liked was that it connected to the Momento app so that it’s data would seamlessly be shared and recorded. It does not do that now and the developers site to submit a contact form is broken and will not submit. Here is the question I wanted to submit but was unable to do so: “ Older versions were able to connect to the Momento app. Is there a way to do that now? Thanks in advance. “

I had this app a few years ago but for some reason it was taken off the App Store. Now it is back I am genuinely really excited to start using it again.

It ate up over 10% of my battery just while sleeping and literally doing nothing.

Movesが終わってから、代替で入れましたが、スポーツ記録は今やデフォルトのアクティビティのが良いです。 Googleの移動記録機能はあまり使いたくないので、どの道を通ったか、遠出した後で確認するようにつかってます。信号待ちで点がうたれるのでむしろGoogleよりトラッキングは正確でした。 手軽で同様のアプリがないのでなくならないで欲しい。 追記:相変わらず使っています。歩いてると気の記録、止まってもピンが立たず不思議。

Not as good as original
Used the original app developed by the Scandis then bought and ditched by evil empire Facebook. This one is good for tracking my bike rides but is way off when it comes to distance travelled.

I was excited to get my favorite app back there for a second but this thing is just trash compared to the old app

Other methods of transport keep coming up “automobile” on the old app I could change that to cycling or train etc why can’t we add that feature

Doesn’t allow me to track activity as I anticipated
I had turned location service on all the time but I have to open the app for it to work. If I don’t open the app first thing in the am (which I don’t) I get a sad face notification that I did nothing all day. Is there a setting I’m missing?Also, I did like how the old app allowed you to track other types of activity. I kayaked down a river yesterday for several hours and would have liked to be able to include that as well but I don’t see an option to do so.
Moves
The original Moves app was absolutely the best tracking app ever made. This one is ok but doesn’t show every stop on the main page. I paid to remove ads and would pay a reasonable fee for the original app. This one is better than nothing.
No biking?
Was excited to find Moves again since I walk and bike. Love having a record of where I went. But it’s not registering my biking!?
Cycling Mileage way off
I don’t know about the accuracy of the walking function, but the Cycling distance is way short. For a 32.7 km Garmin-recorded ride, Moves lite shows 8.8 km.

It’s good but...
It’s a good app. It’s helpful and easy to use. But I paid for no ads and I still get them and they’re rather tedious to exit out of.
Not like the old Facebook moves
I used to use moves that got taken over by Facebook and then discontinued. Whilst it looks on the surface to be similar it does not act the same way. You cannot change activities and the punts when it changes activity make no sense (half way through a train journey, that it calls automobile, it changes to walking and then back again). The map is very inaccurate and is not close to the route. It is very heavy on battery use and I've had to charge my phone twice in one day.
Great replacement for Moves, needs tweaking
I am very happy to see there is a replacement app for Moves. I didn’t know that app was shutting down, and was unable to export my data. Apparently my phone still has it, but I am unsure how to export it. I really enjoy this app, however I think there need to be a few tweaks and improvements. • locations need to be updated in the home screen - I can be in a location for a while, but the only one that comes up is home at the start of the day, and then driving / walking. The map shows where I have been, but the main screen does not. • the map shows random places that I have stopped, such as stop lights. This can also happen on the home screen with no way to remove it from that screen. • the map makes multiple location checkpoints for certain places such as stores and schools. There are no ways to combine the checkpoints. • there is no way to manually add the location checkpoints into the home screen so it shows up on your daily activities and routes. • a colour wheel would be fantastic for choosing colours. Also, adding a shopping bag, school and some additional icons would be useful. • other than writing a review, there is no information on how to contact the developer. This needs to be added. • an account would be helpful and the ability to export data, or an automatic export by email monthly would be helpful in case this app ever shuts down like Moves did. • app should be able to connect to health data, Apple Watch and fitbit applications/devices • calories burned could potentially be a good add in option for users with heart rate monitor devices such as fitbits, connecting/syncing with Moves Lite. I hope to see some of these updates in the near future, and hope to be able to receive contact info for the developer. If I can help out with further suggestions for improvement, I would have no problem with that.
Moves replacement
Nothing I’ve tried has been as good as the old Moves app. Hoping hoping hoping this does the trick. So far so good!

The tracking is accurate but the distance estimates are way out!
I like Moves Lite as it knows where I’ve been and for the most part correctly attributes my journeys to the correct form of travel. In addition it is not too heavy a drain on the battery. The negatives are that the distance estimates are way out. So for example, a bike ride from Hammersmith to Harrow on the Hill appears on the map mostly as a bike ride, although the downhill stretches are sometimes misattributed as a “car ride”, but the distance estimated for the return trip is 6.6Km. The real distance is more like 30Km. If the app can accurately track the trip on a map, I would have thought it could estimate the distance travelled more accurately too.
Not as good
Hi Folks This app is most certainly not as good as the old map.Nor does it look as good as the old one missing features.Im cyclist and walk.The app only shows off one bubble only doesn’t recognize whether I’m driving or walking. Nothing to compare.
finally a replacement - but still has a lot of rough edges
This app appears to be from a different developer who tries to keep the UX as similar as possible though. My main issue with the current version is the power consumption: Even in low power mode it is draining my battery a lot more than the original Moves app. A lot of features are missing, such as editing journey types when it detected them wrong, or browsing the data properly (you can only go back by 1 day etc.). And it’s not even possible to disable tracking, you have to delete the app.

I loved the original version of moves but this app never seems to be on, therefore never captures my information

I used to love this app but this new version has been missing data that never shows up despite my phone being on. It used to be sometimes it would update it late, but there have been days it hasn’t collected the info at all. I know this is strange for Moves because I had the old Moves for at least 6 years before it shut down.
Very poor version
I was an avid user and supporter of the previous version but this one is very poor. It’s inaccurate - it under records significantly compared to other pedometers. It doesn’t show arrival and departure times accurately as the old app did. It also doesn’t allow you to edit entries either (it keeps interpreting bus journeys as running). And it no longer shows totals. Really disappointed.

I enjoyed the older app much better than this one. I cannot type my stops in and getting it to reload my steps.
