What people like
- It has really nice graphs and charts.
- It tracks your walking route on a map.
- It counts calories burned while you walk.
- Setup is easy and starts automatically.
What they complain about
- It often stops tracking steps randomly.
- You have to restart your phone to fix it.
- Deleting the app wipes all your past data.
- Ads pop up even if you paid for no ads.
Effortless
Great app. Really nice to have different graphical representations. It would be way better if the chronology of steps over the course of the day could be shown in five minute blocks or one minute blocks, instead of hour-long blocks, or somehow represented so I could tell exactly how long my walk or run was without setting a timer and remembering to check it.
Can’t stop and way off
This app could be good if I could get it to stop the route I start when I go on a walk, also, compared to 2 other apps, this one is way off in the mileage for the actual route so its useless!!
Time
Not really doing good with the time change. Slow to put my steps on there
used to be better...
but now it's frozen every time i check it and won't count steps until i do a forced restart.., many, many forced restarts...
Calculates on off
It skips days all of a sudden.
Great App for Walkers!
I needed to replace a pedometer app that would no longer update, and I chose Walker. My interest is more in distance than steps, and Walker can do a more accurate job of reading actual distance than other apps I’ve tried. Also, I can see how much I’ve walked during different hours of the day, and set it to record my route with GPS. I like it!
Stopped Working
Help, please. I love this app but it just stopped working. On June 24, 2024 it showed me my stats and from June 25th on it just shows zero across everything. I tried to report a problem to the developer but cannot. Maybe someone there will see this and assist me. Thanks
Cannot rate the app
Because I see no instructions on how to use the app and therefore have not been able to use it.
Trouble updating steps continuously
I've used this app for several months now and it worked pretty well except that I would prefer it didn't assume the same step size but would use GPS to measure distance. Recently it's not been updating the steps consistently, but apparently only once every half hour or so. so at this point, I cannot really recommend this app.
Worked for several weeks then stopped
My walks are not reported
Hello
Very helpful.
Randomly Fails to Record Activity
For weeks are a time, nothing! 1.2 million steps less what it randomly decides to exclude. The signal strength here is strong so it’s not a connection error.
Works well sometimes.
Only problem I have is sometimes it doesn’t register the walking. You have to shut off your device then power back up for it to display the info.
Not happy.
Distance results are not shown consistently. Frustrating.
Not great
I have to restart my iPhone daily or the app will not record the steps. I find this frustrating and I can’t find any help with this!!! Paste works much more consistently!
What happened to pounds and miles?
I am a walker in the US and the effective use of this app has deteriorated over the past two weeks! The metric system is fine for most of the planet but not for me.
Lame
It won’t show my track on a map anymore. Fix it
Calibration
Seems to read about 30% high
App is slow to update steps
App is several days behind showing zero. Happens regularly then all of a sudden updates the missing steps days later. So far, 4 days behind. For December it has failed to refresh the data for 13 days! Still waiting...Dec1-12 missing. 2/19/23: app is still blank since January. 😒
Hi
Info went away. Why?
Walker is a great app!
Easy to use. Just initial setup and start walking. No need to turn it on when you start and off when you stop. It senses your movements.
App Worthless With iPhone 15 Pro and iOS 17.xx
This used to be a good app. I logged 25,000,000+ steps on this app over the years. Now I cannot get it to update and this year in November. I had to ditch nearly 5,000,000 steps and reload the app in an effort to get it to work. Not even restarting my new iPhone can salvage this program. Also, once you lose all of your steps by deleting the app, you cannot get them back. Look elsewhere.
Review
Works great when it works, it will skip a day now and then.
App is way too inconsistent
As an example, for the 3rd time this week the pedometer stops recording steps. Frustrating.
Walker
It seems to work doing the initial trial, matching another similar app. I have no experience with these types of programs. So far so good, however, I can only say one I believe the last page when filling out physical information ,it appears to be ghost images trying to get information in the same space. I don’t know what space is available to put the information. Otherwise I will attempt to be forthcoming about more things you might wish to want.
Walking
I love it. It helps each day of my waking, and running.
Review
Does not work, continually show the steps for the running time. You have to close and reopen constantly. Poor design.
Privacy seems to be an issue
While this is very sophisticated, I cannot turn off location services. How is a walk completed? I press stop in maps and nothing happens.
Inaccurate
The app designers had some good ideas, but several days show 0 steps when the health app shows data for those days, and it doesn’t know how many days are in a month. It says there where 30 days in Jan, 31 days in Feb and 34 days in March which makes the daily averages wrong. It doesn’t matter how good the interface is if the numbers are wrong. If the numbers are wrong the app is useless.
Hard to upload daily steps
This app is difficult to upload my daily steps. Other apps work fine each time
Accurate
Does what it is designed to do.
Asked apple for refund
App stopped working and under EU law I have a right for a refund because the app does not work as it should
Not reliable
Sometimes it says I’ve walked zero distance In a day. Then the next day it starts to work again.
Does not always work
App is having issues. Doesn’t always work.. it seems 3 days out of 7 I can get it to work properly. Started off nice then sucked.
Inconsistent
It doesn’t always track my miles
Walker App
I particularly like Walker because it shows calories! If I walk far enough I get a treat!
Cannot make it start!
Tried but does not count anything...how to start counting??
Fitness app
Good but not sure how accurate the mileage is as it differs from the fitness app which was already on the phone
Could have been
This app has the simplicity of a fine tracker. For two weeks it tracker Now it does not. Stays at zero. I see that others report the same thing. Two stars for possibility. Tad June 9, 2020
Setup
Wish I knew how to setup the app. Can’t set to 0 steps
Ted.
Said we e re s m mmdi are dexter o F y BBC deer red
Can’t get it to work
No information provided on how to use. It won’t track my walk. No directions on how to start it.
Overall
Does what it said.
Used to be good, not anymore
This used to be a completely reliable app. Some days I look at it now and it shows 0. After my other app shows I’ve walked 3 miles. I can’t seem to figure out why it is suddenly so unreliable. When it works it’s great.
Keeps disconnecting from step counter
I like the graphics but several times the app has become disconnected from my iPhone SE’s step counter. The only way to get it working again is to delete and reinstall, which wipes past data...kind of defeats the point.
Great app
I can’t believe so many options Walker gives you. With all colors and different shape of graphs showing your daily progress, comparing week to week, month to month to let you know how do you do. It gives you the daily, weekly, and monthly calories you burn. It gives you an option to write daily notes about your work out for the day, you can see and track in a map the length and places you run/ walk. I am very impressed with it and I won’t search anymore for another jogging map, it gives you more than you need. I already share it with family and friends. TRY IT MD Massachusetts
Don’t upgrade
I paid for no ads but ads continue to pop up when I use the app. Save your money by not upgrading to the no ads version.
Pretty good.
For a free app it's pretty good at simply counting your steps.
No longer tracks steps
It used to be a great step tracker, until I started using on iPhone XR. The app does not track steps promptly, if at all. Please fix or I’ll have to delete.
Great pedometer, except:
It cannot count the number of days in each month. In Statistics mode, it says November had 42 days, December 39 days, and we are up to 12 days in January (today is Jan 9). This distorts the daily averages significantly and calls to question the reliability of other data.
