Thank you
I want to thanks for the daily tip. I am grateful for this support community 🙏🏻
Terrible, truly terrible.
Nothing but bots. And not even good ones. Obvious AI conversations from people no where near my locale.
Loosid App
The sober support community is outstanding. The dating portion of the app is in need of work. It doesn’t promote itself properly. Finding sober dates is crucial to sober people in recovery.
Error code LEC -12
It keeps saying yall are undergoing maintenance for almost 24 hours…. When will it be done…
Too Many Scammers
Great Concept. But way too many scammers on this platform.
I’m Just the President. I’m Also a Client!
I cofounded Loosid with MJ and Zhanna. I’d like to hear your thoughts, suggestions, ideas, concerns and angry outbursts.
Not free
This app was advertised as free which it isn’t. So I paid for it and it didn’t help.
Would love to see this app grow
I love that there’s an app that will consistently remind you of a network of ppl in recovery
Can’t change range
I’m In Toronto and everyone is either in different parts of Ontario or the US. 50km away is way too far. Wouldn’t recommend this app.
$30 a month
You guys are high! Just because I am not using doesn’t mean that I want to spend $360 a year on an app that does the same thing as the free ones.
Love the community
I love that this app has the basics for tracking sobriety and all that but also feels like a full social network type of platform.
paywall
being immediately greeted with a pay wall in a sober space feels against the principles, should be a donation based, free app and space to align with core values of recovery
Great app but too many notifications
This is a great app, but I don’t need to be notified about every time someone post on this app that has nothing to do with the conversation I’m in or a post I commented on. I literally have 93 notifications in a day.
try aa
why pay? when it is to save people's lives?
Love the idea, but it’s lacking
I love the idea of a sober online community and I love the support I receive from others in sobriety on this app. I don’t care for the break up in the feed (Loosid marketplace, invest in Loosid, recover voices, etc); there has to be a better way to offer these features. I am hanging in, waiting hopefully for some changes to be made in the app to make it more enjoyable and aesthetic!
Recovery,,,made beautiful!
Great app to go to for support and give support, if your In luck!
Not a recovery app
This is not an app for people who are serious about recovery.
Glitches frequently
The app glitches a lot. I constantly get failure to save my city for my location. I kept getting an error code 500 when I was setting up my premium account. I love the idea of this app however, there are definitely are some kinks. It needs to work out
It’s a GREAT concept! But the app doesn’t work very well, and seems filled with fake people
Examples: I can’t change my main photo because it gives an error every time I try. I also can’t delete a photo. Sometimes it says unable to load profile while looking through them. if you have a credit for a super like, it reminds you of this EVERY single person you see! take it easy. I haven’t found a person to “super like” yet, because almost none of the profiles have anything written in terms of text, just a lot of shiny pictures, which seem like they could easily be from a magazine. (perhaps there could be some prompts to get users to talk about what their personality is actually like? because for non-fashion models, this actually matters more ) there are some profiles that should be reported for obvious violations, but there isn’t a button to report them. it is a really excellent concept! And one that is needed in the world so hopefully they will continue developing this app. Somehow “Loosid” doesn’t sound like something a sober person would say, just a thought.
Jouraling
To me it's like journaling. A way to express myself and document my recovery
Disingenuous
So I gave Loosid a try and all was going well for a while. One day I couldn’t log in. I contacted the developers about the issue and they had noted that my account was banned for using a cartoon for my profile picture. Did it not occur to them that many of the users on this app may not want to use a personal photo? People want to stay anonymous when discussing the matters that this app was designed for. Good golly! It gets worse. I wrote a review on the play store and the developer response was just a lie. He or she indicated that I was just banned from the dating section only. Thankfully I got reinstated but now I just don’t want to taint my phone with this app because I see how disingenuous the staff is. One star is more than generous for this giant L.
Great In Theory
Love the concept, but flawed execution. Repeating matches many, many, many times over…even after declining. True was of money and time
Great app, but…
Great app but it’s glitching. My “likes” aren’t saving and when hit the “like” button it says “failed to like”.
Thanks Loosid!
Helped me out tot find like minded people, driven torwards the same goal. Great tool when you aren’t able to speak to a sponsor or need some little umph on your own time
Profiting from Recovery
I’ve used this for a few months and gave it a chance. It’s clear they just want to make money off recovering addicts. For one, I constantly get notifications to buy stuff in the shop. Often, those notifications appear in other areas, like matches on the dating section. I also got a free trial that would be $30/month after I forget about it. You can get more from recovery groups on regular social apps. This has no groups, pages, communities, walls, events, etc. Nothing but a singular feed curated by the staff. Also, since the dating app is so limited and lacking, the community side is 50% guys commenting on women, and 50% guys trying to sound dramatic like Bill W. It’s a proof of concept - minimally viable. Not worth $30/mo simply because it has a generic LLM attached.
Super glitchy
Love the idea of this app but it constantly freezes whenever I try to write a status. It also pushes very hard for you to use the paid version which is kind of sad when this app is targeting a very vulnerable group. Will keep trying with it.
Not transgender-friendly
"Other" is not a gender identity. Please add transgender identities.
Supportive community
Nice community to stay positive and on track
Makes you use your full name
They've disabled the option to create an account using your email. The options they offer create an account with your full name. I don't want to use my full name and I think the user should be allowed this privacy. I did initially create an account but thought better of it and deleted it. Also deleted the app.
Bummer.
It’s a great concept but it just doesn’t have legs. It’s like Meetup if you take away usefulness and global/local community access. There are some real folks on here eager to connect and find safe spaces to inhabit, and it’s wonderful when they find each other, but there are very nearly ZERO events anywhere in the country (they claim 1000’s), the restaurant list is populated entirely with “neighborhood bar and grill” type establishments, and most of the homepage is covered with stock photo profiles and bots giving real sober people attaboys! Even with all of the recent sober culture, there still isn’t a single worthy social platform. Loosid is an imitation of a cheesy wellness app much like The Phoenix app and it is desolate. I clicked through without signing up. Lots of full screen ads for premium features that enhance nothing.
Community
I love this app. It feels good to know there is a community of people that I can post to when I’m struggling, feeling good or need to connect! I would definitely recommend this app!
$29 a month? For what?
First of all, I reached out to the owner years ago and told him all of the things I’m about to tell you. Big guys too busy charging people $30 a month for a terrible app. How is it that there’s a social media that you can’t pick your username? What year is it? You can get literally everything in this app other places and the $30 price tag is such a joke. The dating app is even worse And I find that hard to believe but it’s true. The sad truth is these people are not in the recovery business. They are in the capitalism business, and if they truly cared about people, they would make the app better and make it more affordable. Make sure you leave them a review ! Especially if you hate the app as much as I do
Listening is better than talking
Hi, I don’t often watch the platform but a couple of times that I have the male host talks way too much when he has a guest on the show he does most of the talking. These are experts that come in and give their advice and suggestions and they should be heard.
Filled with Scams
I’m sure the developers of this app mean well, but they are terrible at screening profiles for fakes.
Loosid
What a wonderful app to help in early recovery and to sustain sober living in a community of loving fellows. The dating and accountability features are well worth it. Making new sober friends to help live a fulfilled life.
All Women Fakes & Scammers
At least 80% of the women on this app seem to be fakes & scammers from personal experience.
