Toucan camera review
I’m not impressed with the quality of the picture would affect they tell you on HSN that it’s free but you don’t get too many features with it. They want to charge you tried to set the time on it so it would read regular time couldn’t do that without having to pay for the service regret buying
bug maybe?
app stopped sending notifications to my phone for unknown reason despite having notifications on on both devices
Can’t down load on my cell
I Ben trying for 5 days now even call compy 4 time no luck and when they call it was like 2 days later of course I was not home
New version crash
As soon as i click setting and click motion detection, the app crashes. Tried deleting ,downloading app n all the troubleshoot as per toucan website. It still crashes in IPHONE. But andriod works fine I guess the new version messed up iphone one.
Awesome Camera
The best on its kind
Horrible batteries
Battery dies in 2days smh it’s horrible to keep taking it down to recharge it waste of money if u ask me
Great app!! Pay wall though
Great app!! Pay wall though can’t help too think at 88/170 price range it works! For what I need.
Don’t record automatically
Don’t
System error
Update and now keeps going offline and not connecting to toucan system. Issue isn’t with WiFi everything else connects perfectly fine
Nice fit
I just love this can see what is happening when I am at work
Help
Please fix app. Won’t even load… I need my camera to work asap please
Return from Mexico
Toucan kept us consistently updated on our home while we were in Mexico for two weeks
Device failure
After the last update I feel that my device goes offline daily. I had to reconnect the device twice now and this morning the device showing offline again. Camera is using the 2.4 network, my phone is on a 5g network never had an issue until now. If the problem continues no choice but to start looking at other options.
Freeze up
It keeps freezing up and taking some pics
Sup
Nice app love the app
Don’t buy it!
Do not buy these cameras they are totally not worth the money. I am constantly experiencing them disconnecting from my home Wi-Fi. And then the only way to reconnect them is by hitting the reset button on the back of the camera and they always seem to do this at the. Times like when I actually need the camera to be working and recording if I could give less than one star I would.
Custom front door greeting.
Halloween is almost over. When are you going to add the Christmas greetings? Tia. Have a great day.
Unreliable
Toucan door cam Had two of these already first one broke second one stops working in cold weather fairly tricky to set up unless your technically minded I gave it two stars as at first it was great but disappointed for long term use Cold weather just knocks it out Would I buy again… no.would be great if the makers could reach out to me though as apart from these two sashes it’s okay for the money
Toucan camera
Is that worked really great however about a weekend to it and stop sending me notifications when somebody was in the area if somebody came to knock on the door, I didn’t receive anything unless they actually rang the doorbell. He didn’t even notify when anybody crossed the camera like I couldn’t see any videos or anything. It was just ridiculous and I used to. I’ve deleted the app we installed the same thing so it’s OK to see when you wanna see it but after that, it’s not working.
Exceptionally pleased!
I think toucan products are so good compared to many I’ve tried. I have the original, tried the v3 too. But I like them both. But my original has lasted years! I’m so pleased with toucan. They should hire me as a spokeswoman! lol but as a reviewer you won’t be dissatisfied. You can move the camera. Other cameras don’t have that option.
Front Door
Doesn’t show me who comes to door. When I look at notifications there’s no nothing on screen except my front door. I’ve blocked areas so it doesn’t show my street and traffic but it still notifies ever time a car goes by.
Camera
It works very well. The only problem I have with it is I can’t seem to find how to make the camera record for 24 hours. It seems to stop after 10pm. I know this because sometimes I come in after that and I can’t seem to find directions on the website either. Other than that I I is a great video camera. It has caught a person stealing a package on my doorstep.
Camera lag time and Customer service no good.
Don’t waist your money on this product, not worth it..
Just ok
While the picture quality is good, the battery goes dead too quickly. And without a subscription, you’re only allowed X number of downloads per month.
Safely Happy
Now I can finally feel relieved
Need subscription
If you don't buy into subscription app and camera is usless
Problems with cameras
Sometimes goes into a continuous 1, 2, 3 sec recording cycle until battery is dead. Sometimes doesn’t record at all, other times it records a leaf or bug w/o changing sensitivity level.
Mr Blackwood
The setup with the WiFi is problematic and doesn’t connect very frustrating
Was working fine
It was working until I got the subscription, it’ll let me look at past videos, but when I go to click on it to see what’s on the porch or to do anything with the settings, it kicks me right out. I’ve tried everything to fix it. It’s still doing it.
Good camera
The camera works good
Didn’t work correctly
I surprised, sometimes working but right now auto record not works
So far, so good!
Delete video function needs a ‘delete all’ function. Otherwise it’s working well and love the quality of the picture.
Very unstable on iPhone 14 pro max!
Needs some updating door bell is to sensitive to traffic and shadows then sometimes won’t even pick up someone in the front garden camera won’t rotate without jumping would be good if they had solar power as the battery dies every few days please update the software!!!!!!!!
New account
I’ve only had my system for a little over a week. I’m learning how to use it. I just wish the battery lasted longer or easier to charge. I have to ask assistance from family to come and check or make any changes. Is it possible for others to have access to your system without your knowledge?
Awesome
It’s a good little doorbell camera. Easy to setup and navigate.
Buy something else!
This product is trash!
Home owner
Does not always pick up movement near house, slight delay in picking up and recording.
Poor app
Camera and it’s functions are good. The app is buggy and prone to erratic behaviour. It’s sometimes impossible to remove videos as when you delete them they disappear and then instantly are back on your timeline. I don’t think anyone at toucan has done the briefest of tests of this app. Let’s down what is a good camera door bell. £99 to buy and £3 pm to record one weeks videos at a time. Probably will go for a different brand when I finally lose my rag with the app. Couldn’t recommend.
Temperamental
Sometimes works like a treat! Other times hardly works
Thx4fixing
Thank you for the app update that fixed the settings kicking me out if the app!
Update crashes app
App crashes every time you go to settings.
Great, but App features could be better.
I’m happy with the video quality with both my front door camera and driveway. Although the driveway battery drains too quickly for my liking. It would be helpful to set daily timers in the App to help save unnecessary alerts and save the battery. Otherwise it’s a great system, good clear video and easy set up.
Toucan door camera
Viewing history is a nuisance to delete. It repeatedly reappears. And the battery doesn’t last very long before it needs recharging. My RING camera at the front door works 50 times better.
Motion zones
I’m not finding the zone adjustment very accurate and I am still fine tuning it after 2 weeks.
Life savior
I received this as a gift for Christmas from my mom. Never had a reason to use until one night two cars took up my parking spot. I told them that was my spot and I pay monthly. One girl moved while to other got Roudy Talking smack. I could have beat her down or called parking enforcement which I did. I put up camera in case she tried anything to my car for getting her a $250 ticket.
Used to be good
I’ve used toucan for about 3 years and it used to be good but now I can barely even log into my account. Half the time it doesn’t even show my devices. Very disappointed.
Mr simms
Toucan is great value for money, the only issue I have is there is a small delay in notifications and very occasionally it struggles to connect, but most of the time it’s fine.
Security cameras
Camera's held charge for the first 3 months but stopped and now I have to charge them every other week
Bugs galore
When I first got it it was great. Now it’s full of bugs. Freezing, battery dies very quick
