Have been searching for relief from tinnitus for over a decade and this has been the first and only help! Highly recommend it!
Still messed us/buggy
I paid for subscription and barely got to use it as it intermittently kept insisting that I didn’t have a subscription despite charging my credit card.
Works but needs improvement
This app does what it says in terms of running sets of high and low frequency sounds - but it’s flakey. Sometimes it won’t run in the background so you have to have it open and running and can’t use your phone with anything else. Also, it doesn’t always run at the same volume - might be because of something the AirPods Pro are doing with dynamic noise adjustments - not sure - so that’s a problem. Otherwise - it’s fairly unique in its value - so it’s good for that.
Usage in background broken
This app had been great for so long but over the last several months is appears you cannot have I running in the background when you are using other apps, this wasn’t the case previously. For the massive monthly subscription charged this shouldn’t be a problem. I will be cancelling.

I’ve been struggling with tinnitus for the past 7 years, and this app has truly helped change my life. I’ve tried so many different things over the years hoping to find relief, and honestly, AudioCardio has had the greatest impact by far. My tinnitus was severely exacerbating my anxiety and depression, but AudioCardio has helped minimize the ringing and reduced how much I focus on it throughout the day. Cancelled subscription yet charged for renewal; no response to complaint.
Tried the app and set up renewal payment in the Apple App Store as required. Unfortunately I could not use the app as intended so cancelled via the Apple App Store well before the end of the trial period. I received a billing/payment notification despite having cancelled…reached out to their support email and have yet to get any reply. Will go through the dispute process with the CC company for a refund. Beware of this company if you transact via the Apple App Store…you may get an unpleasant experience
Bug pauses therapy when iphone is locked
New update seems to be pausing therapy when my iPhone is locked.
Great concept, poor functioning app
I believe that there is merit in this concept and that this company is onto something but the app just does not function well at all. I have pretty severe tinnitus and high frequency hearing loss and have used this app for a couple of years off and on. I’ve tried to love it and again fine merit in the concept, but the app fails to function on a daily basis and is super frustrating, especially considering the cost. Sometimes it allows me to listen to music or books while running AudioCardio in the background, but often it just pauses the program. The reminders are intrusive and annoying. Most detrimental is that my scores/tinnitus/hearing have not improved after using it for years.
Bugs and issues that are never fixed
I have been using AudioCardio regularly for over a year. I do think it has made a small but noticeable difference in lessening my hearing loss. But the app itself has major issues which hamper its usefulness. Nearly every usage session, the volume seems to gradually increase if its own accord, until I can easily hear the tones in my ear, which is not only annoying, but it renders the “therapy” useless. Pausing the therapy and resuming temporarily fixes the volume issue, but I often need to do this 20+ times during each session. The app also frequently “forgets” that I have a paid subscription even though I’ve just logged in. annoyingly, the app also makes you log in every single time rather than keeping you logged in as it used to. There hasn’t been an update in over a year and I don’t think the developer is investing in any improvements to the app. I did renew my subscription after the first year but it remains to be seen whether I will do so again.
Best thing I’ve done
I was using it for a few years, slight but notable difference. Till I found out I had otosclerosis. Two stapeadectomys later Audio Cardio has not only helped recover from surgery but helped reduce the tinnitus that was a symptom of the OS. Started at 41/100 in 2020, one surgery at the end of 24 and the second in middle of 25. Restarted the app with a 60/100, and now Currently at 83/100!
This app is garbage
So frustrating. First of all they give you a 14 day free trial which is just shy of the time it takes to see if it does any good. Secondly, the app just stops working while you’re walking around thinking you’re in therapy(you can’t tell it stopped working because the therapy is “silent”) The app tells you thru your headphones that the therapy stopped only about 35 percent of the time . So you you’ll be walking around like a dink for an hour and half and look down to see it stopped working at 3 minutes in. I cannot believe Apple allows junk like this on their platform . I’ve been trying to faithfully try this at a cost of $14 dollars for about 3 weeks now. ZERO , ZILCH except wasted time and life restarting the app. It’s a scam

Pros: - Only app of its kind afaik - I like the new option to target specific frequencies (in Pro) Cons: - Expensive (for Pro) - No dark mode - The button scaling has a LOT of problems. — When listening to music, the Change Program button is completely covered by the music player — When using Zoomed Display (iOS Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Display Zoom), the buttons and images do not scale which makes it impossible to read or click some of them — The pull down for the music player is under the clock. I realize you can swipe the screen down, but the way it is, you can’t read the clock nor touch the button. - When you are retaking the assessment, you must toggle the volume to hear every tone except the first Suggestions: - In the original version, you could change the music volume independently of the therapy volume. I miss that. - You used to be able to set a music EQ for each ear based on your assessment as well. - I wish there were a shuffle button when starting a playlist instead of having to pick a song first
So-so
A couple things: 1. I am not seeing any changes in my hearing. My scores are staying about the same. A little fluctuations up and down. No pattern of improvement. 2. When listening to music, the music is way too loud; and the audio indicators of “half way there” and “sound therapy completed” are so loud that if I am not watching the timer and expecting the voice, I jump out of my skin because of how loud the voice is. All of these seems pretty counter-intuitive to the purpose of the app.
Not Sure, concerned about dizziness and damage to hearing…
I tried the trial; t was hard to determine any results so I paid for a month. After 4 weeks of daily use for 1 hour I’ve noticed that the hearing fluctuates. According to the app, it’s sometimes a couple points better and then goes back close to the original score. I use it for one hour daily as directed. Yesterday I could hear faint but distinct sounds similar to the therapy, without using the app, so I only did 30 minutes instead of 60. Today my score dropped significantly, slightly lower than my original score before starting the therapy. I’ve been having mild dizziness after starting this, which is concerning. So I’m really not sure if this is causing hearing damage, as some reviews mention, but the score also slightly improved by a couple of points before going back down. I don’t notice much difference in the hearing except that the very faint buzzing in one ear might be very slightly less. I’m not sure if I’ll continue for the next month. I’d suggest starting with the standard plan and just try one month first. I paid for premium for 1 month but am prompted to only use the standard settings, so it’s a waste of $ for premium. Figuring out the premium settings is a job for an ear specialist. Also the therapy is supposed to be inaudible but after careful taking the test over and over, it constantly sets the therapy loud enough to hear. I see other complaints about this, hopefully the company will finally address it.

No Tinnitus Relief
I have been using for five months and I have not experienced any tinnitus relief. I was doubtful when I subscribed since Tinnitus is caused by inner ear parts touching. I didn’t understand how sound therapy could help and I was right…ZERO change. $100 is VERY expensive for a magic elixir that does not work. Don’t waste your time or $s if you are looking for Tinnitus relief.
App not working anymore
App does not load. Try iphone and ipad. Ideleted the app and reloaded it. No luck. I cancelled my subscription and renewed it to reset my account. No luck. Still does not load 10 days later: was able to use the app again after an update. Still some confusion when my Ipad tells me that the day frequeincy targeting has not been done while it was done earlier on my Iphone.
Great idea, weak practicalities
I have to agree entirely with glukey's review of 5 years ago. And I found the Audiocardio app tricky to upload (they don't say upfront it's not intended for a Mac desktop - and it should be because some of us oldies are not only a bit deaf but also struggle with tiny smartphones). There needs to be much better user info, more logical navigation, and a note to point out that some hearing aids will invalidate the initial hearing test because they incorporate 'smart' features that suppress very quiet sounds, even on Bluetooth. To be positive, it is a great concept, the company were quick with Support today. I hope they'll take on board this and any other feedback.
Not ready to be a paid app
Don’t bother using Apple AirPod Pros. It disconnects without warning and since the volume is low you can’t tell. So you just waste time. The ability to play music from your phone doesn’t work as it appears it should. The playlist and other tabs don’t populate in the app. It has too many issues that should’ve been worked out as a free app.
It works
My hearing is improving. I have low level tinnitus but my ears were also spontaneously ringing from time to time. This doesn’t happen when I do my therapy. I’m also seeing my scores improve on the app, and noticing I’m asking people to repeat themselves less frequently. I also struggle with excessive sensitivity to noise associated with hearing loss, and this therapy has helped me significantly with this issue as well. Highly recommend

The app doesn’t do anything without paying for a subscription. Theres no reason this app needs a subscription. Total scam.
Did not improve my tinnitus
I was hoping this would alleviate my moderate tinnitus in my left ear to some degree but after using it for two months I didn’t see any improvement and no reason to continue waste $15 a month on a therapy that wasn’t working for me. One frustrating issue was I would take the hearing assessment test once a week and set the levels of the 2 frequencies I was focusing on so I couldn’t hear the therapy working (as instructed). Unfortunately, as soon as I ran the program- I could hear the audio therapy at those frequencies despite not being able to hear it when I ran the assessment test and set the levels. That was definitely frustrating and an issue that Audio Cardio needs to fix.
No luck for me.
I tried this app over a period of a few months, but had no noticeable improvement in my tinnitus or hearing. I hope others have better luck.
It works!
This has really helped reduce my tinnitus. I’ve been using pretty consistently since April. I don’t always complete an hour of the therapy, sometimes I only have time for a half hour or twenty minutes.. but I have noticed changes in my hearing. I can now hear people I work with better when previously I had to say “what?” All the time and ended up avoiding certain people because I couldn’t hear them. Be patient when using this.. it’s not a miracle overnight. It does require commitment. I’m so thankful for this app!
Bad app probably means bad science
Conceptually this makes some sense but how can you know with such an unreliable app. It freezes on lock or when you do anything else with the phone. It also has issues with the test not matching the sound therapy volume. The fact that they don’t properly test their technology and don’t do anything to make these simple fixes tells me this is a sham company and the science likely snake oil too. I’m out.
Feel deceived and cheated
I’m giving the app two stars because the functionality of the app works perfectly. Other than that it gets zero stars for the way this app is marketed and I can’t help but feel they are deceiving the public. Here is why, you start off with a free trial, which is great. You could actually see and experience an app that works flawlessly. What happens after the free trial is you will automatically be swung into the $9.99 plan. The problem with this is with this plan is you start out at the frequency that you’re hearing is most deficient in. That might sound good to the general public, but they should know better. For most of the population over 50 years old that means you will start out in the 12,000 Hz range which almost everybody is deficient in and there are no fundamental frequency’s in that range only harmonics. Even the highest female human voice only fundamentally goes to 3000 Hz any online search will reveal this information. I wanted to improve my hearing, so I could hear human voices and watch movies more easily and with the basic plan you’ll be stuck at the 12,000 Hz level which absolutely will not do you any good while you pay $10 a month trying to improve it as it will not let you move to the next frequency, unless you get the pro plan. If you get the app, do yourself a favor, get on your computer and look up the frequency range of human hearing. Ignore the free trial bologna except for the fact you will see the app does work well. Ignore the $10 a month plan and go right to the pro plan then choose the proper frequencies that you would like to hear. Meaning if you want a human voices more easily go more to the mid range and forget about starting out at 12,000 Hz which is ridiculous. I am not a hearing expert, but all this information is online and simple to find out.
Apple Music connection doesn’t work
I can visually see nothing listed in apple music connect. In local music connection i can see my Apple Music songs that have been downloaded , but it never starts playing them. I can’t use Apple Music outside of the app during therapy because it stops therapy.
Works great
I’ve been using the app for several months now and noticed I’m able to hear higher pitch sounds in my everyday life again!
Tried for 2 Months - didn’t do a thing.
Besides being buggy where it stops working any time the screen is locked, I found no apparent improvement from this app. The tests showed zero improvement over the time and it had no affect on my tinnitus. Maybe I’m just one of the people that will not benefit from this therapy.
New customer for tinnitus
Buyer beware! They give you a 14 day trial but wont allow you to try basic @$9.99 a month. It defaults to Pro+ plan at $14.99 a month which you’ll be charged after the 14 days. Then the app will not let you change plans until 30 days is up which they say takes that long to get any results. They will not let try both the basic and Pro+ plans during the 14 day trial. I have cancelled and delted my account three times and it will start over and all data is lost but it will default to the $14.99 plan. If you try to change that the app will just spin indefinitely. I have sent them an email with no answers. Stay tuned. The Pro+ plan made my ears ring worse because of the increase in frequencies they put you through for you ear test analysis. The basic plan actually gave me hope because it targeted less frequencies. If you are trying this for tinnitus then good luck. You’ll never know if it works unless you pay after the 14day trisl and you have no choice on what plan you wish to purchase. So far its false advertisement. Stay tuned.
Remarkable results
After using the AudioCardio app consistently for over a year, I’m genuinely impressed with the noticeable improvements in my hearing capabilities. When I first started using AudioCardio, I was skeptical about the promise of being able to recover some of my hearing. Yet, as the months passed, I began to notice subtle improvements. Sounds that were once muffled and hard to hear started to become clearer. The rustling of leaves, distant conversations, and even the faint ticking of a clock became perceivable again. I found myself gradually being able to discern sounds that I thought were lost to me. For anyone struggling with hearing issues, I highly recommend giving AudioCardio a try.

Hearing and tinnitus got worse
I hope I’m the only one, but for every reassessment during the trial, my hearing got worse On top of that, a new tinnitus tone kicked in. I’m normally a 24/7 high pitch tweeee hearing person, but now I get an additional lower tone that occasionally jumps in to harmonize Sorry, but no… I won’t be continuing with this app. I can’t imagine paying for an app to worsen my hearing 51 year old, male
Helped reduced my tinnitus and hyperacusis
I approached this app with a fair bit of skepticism, but was fairly desperate for relief from intense tinnitus. So far I’ve seen modest results. After 3 weeks of use, I’ve noticed a pretty significant reduction in the loudness of my tinnitus, and objectively have seen some minor improvements in my Mimi audiogram. I suggest giving it a shot, as long as you have reasonable expectations.

After 12 days it caused a ringing in my ears that would not go away. Horrible side effect!

I used to listen to music super loudly and my hearing has been pretty bad for the last two decades. Trying out this app is like working out for your ears. I can definitely hear things that I would never have been able to before. First app I’d pay for.
Bought premium, it never worked. Didn’t get my money back
I bought their premium service as I suffer from recurrent hearing loss due to migraines. It never worked — never got anything other than the basic platform and number of tones. They emailed with me for a while about it but never solved it and never gave me a refund. Wouldn’t recommend paying for anything they sell.
