I’ve played this game on and off for 7 years and it’s by far my favorite game ! There’s so many new games they added and one by one I delete my apps because everything I need is right there. I’ll never stop playing on this app 💕🫶🏽🤟🏽
Recently returned and not impressed.
So I recently returned to the game and I am not impressed. It’s even more of a money grab than it was before. There are events I don’t even bother with as I can no longer afford to spend on the game as I once did. It’s truly pay to play. If you start this game understand that you either need to spend thousands to get ahead or it will literally be years before you can win events and attain some viziers and companions worth having. The developers have continued in their quest for money rather than developing a game truly worth playing. It used to be a lot of fun. Not so much anymore.

I started playing two weeks after the game came out, it was fun... now not so much. *unobtainable vizirs *unobtainable consorts * mini games that have NOTHING to do withe the otoman empire. And let me get this straight: New servers: whole new layout, Hippolyta for 0.99 cents, daily rewards include vizier Ismail and concubine Yara but old servers get none of this!? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE PLEASE!, all the ideas we have pitched in during the years you give it to the new servers but neglect the old servers, how is that fair? Only reason i dont quit is because i have spent more than $800 through the years i have been playing.

Review: I’ve grown my little empire for +5yrs, made several accounts, hit 1 vip8, 1 vip7,5, 1 vip6, 2 vip5, 1 vip4, 3 VIP 3, 4 VIP2, 3 VIP 1 (so Xiamen made a lot of cash out of me) and though I wasn’t top player I was above average and proud of my small achievements. GoS is addictive once you get past the initial slow growth; the stronger you get the more you grow. But I got to a point when only the presence of a very few good friends and sheer stubbornness keep me going, all because of some key points that could be easily improved and benefit everyone greatly, that the devs are well aware of but persist in ignoring, mainly.. 1) only big spenders and/or cheat users reach the top ranks, and it’s always the same ones & hangers-on who win. There should be 2 gaming options: P2w based + free-play based; it’s fairer for players who can’t match those with unfair advantages, so all can access valuable, very scarce top resources; 2) GoS relies heavily on its social web connecting players which has its fair share of idiots, bullies, pushy lonely hearts, predators and smart-arses. Any apparent clampdown on disrespect and cheating is no more than lip service to their watchdog and they keep ignoring most of the customers’ complaints and real losses that could be easily fixed. I was taught that an ugly action outweighs a bad word; however, it’s the other way around on GoS: you can hit and destroy people’s efforts, interfere with their progress and abuse them to the point of despair, and you get away untouched; but the victim speaks a word in anger (as anyone would, after much abuse) and they’re the one who’s sanctioned. It loses GoS countless valuable customers and it’s clear that they don’t care. GoS is clearly the most toxic game I’ve ever played ..3) Arena: the main reason most people leave: limit the number of times a player can be challenged during this event. Or give them the option to revenge each challenge they suffered, one by one if they wish, instead of only being able to revenge once even if they were hit 50x before responding; same for Consort learning: Limit the number of times a player can kick out a specific player’s consort; introduce a protective badge for single academy guests/visitors.. 4) Too many special effects cause the game to lag, freeze and crash often, specially if your device is old or less fancy. Tweak all this, you’ll have a cleaner game. 5) a sterner approach to players who cheat, (diamonds/resources cheats, bots, clickers etc). They’re unfair advantages but they’re still going. Like when we complained about bots, what was your solution? Sell your own bot! 🤦♀️ a bot is a bot. Identify, disable, block the source. 6) stop opening so many servers. Fed up of seeing good customers finding themselves alone on dying servers. Or give each player the chance to move to another server of their own choice. ..Other than that, brownie points for your constant tweaks, bug improvements etc.

I’ve been on this game forever and I always just played and not interacted with other players and now I see why. This is an insane group of bored people. Some have like 12 profiles they run in one union! They will be one person acting like different people like gaming catfish. And they get verrryyyy intense over those badges.
Changes: Not (as) Good
I used to play the game a few years back. Ended up trying it again; did not enjoy. The graphics have gone down greatly in quality. Unlike their other game, “Game of Khans” or something, you don’t acquire the Harem immediately. Also, in the morning, similar to the other game, you are bombarded with notifications/things to do.

I started playing this game when I started college when it was an ad on tumblr, and made friends with the other players on a discord dedicated to the game. I don’t remember my first play through but I decided to play it again along with those friends, I love that there’s a story aspect in the form of a visual novel, but my only request as of right now, is to be able to replay the campaign as much as I’d like, so I can have fanfic/fanart ideas and concepts. From a returning fan of the game, rosesonfire or aka Neal Franks. Love you guys, and you guys are doing great.
Disgusting game that condones bullying
To preface: I have been playing this game for YEARS and have spent so much money on it. I get bullied on my server for absolutely no reason and no one from this game cares or will do anything at all. they care about is if someone makes them money right? Disgusting. I got kicked out from coalitions because about SEVEN people decided to gang up on me. I asked to move servers. Nothing. I filed reports. Nothing. This is unacceptable. Next time this stupid game wants people to stick around they should make sure the customer service and development team aren’t completely incompetent. Absolutely disgusting game will never play again.
Fun game but..
The game is really fun I enjoy it but I just wish they could add some things I’m not to far into the game I played it a while ago and I’m just now picking it up again and some things had obviously changed but I just wish the game had more of a story line like in the beginning it has a story but I wish it kept on going with that, like it makes the game more interesting to me. I also wish you be able to interact with your kids more instead of just developing them and getting them married also with the companions I wish you can do other things and have a storyline with them have some drama y’know like for example more you interact with one companion the others gets jealous like that would be so tea!! It’d be more fun please add something’s where you can interact with people and have an actual dialogue that changes and you can pick your dialogue choices but overall it’s a fun game that I enjoy! ALSO PLEASE THERE IS NO DIVERSITY with choosing your character please add some people with color! Some dark skinned people why am I white as snow?? Please fix that!! Like please a darkskin character with curly hair or something!!

This game is fun. I like the graphics, the limited time events, and I like the campaigns. What I don’t like is how there is SO much. Coalitions AND unions, pets AND the other animal thing… there’s too much and each thing requires it’s own system for currency/points/progression. It’s all just too much and I wish it were more simple.

I have been playing this from almost the start. This game has kept my interest for that length of time which is extremely rare for me. I can really enjoy a game, but after a while, it gets boring. This game never has. There are some thinking involved in some of it. There’s a little bit of everything in it. I have been in a union for that length of time. I have a tendency of staying away from too much chatting because Drama can get into that. However, my union is nice enough. Some people really enjoy the chatting so if that’s you, this is a good game to also get into. The only issue I have with this game is that I believe there was a new buyout. The newer developers are really concentrating on money. You can play this game comfortably without spending money however it takes a lot longer to do so. I’ve been on both sides of this. You can tell by someone’s VIP status on how much they’ve spent on the game. There are some high spenders like in the hundred thousands. So the developer is really not catering to anyone that is lower on that totem pole. I’ll keep playing it every day until I get bored but so far, six years later I still have not.
Do something about the servers
I’ve been playing for year and as of right now I think there’s maybe 5 active players left on my server. Can you start adding new players here or merge the ones with few active players? Putting aside the money grab aspect of the game and how you need to pay an excessive amount to place (I saved for charm cross server event for TWO YEARS and still only placed third), I’m about to stop playing because of the dead server. Oh and I do spend money too (not the 1000s other do but still), but what’s the point when I’m competing with myself….
Fun but has its issues
I am a big fan of the game, and have been playing it nonstop. It is very fun. However, my biggest issue is that when my heirs get promoted, and I go to try to get them married, it says I have no single heirs. They just disappear and I can never find them again. It kind of defeats the purpose of that whole aspect of the game.

Worst customer service and loyalty representative experience!
I am beyond disappointed with how the Game of Sultans support team handles serious players safety issues. I have been subjected to constant bullying, harassment, and dehumanization. Other players have gone as far as to insult and slander me with derogatory comments that no one should have to endure. Despite providing the ‘Loyalty Team’ with clear screenshots evidence of these vile attacks, their only response was to tell me to ‘just block them’ They claimed the offenders did nothing wrong, essentially giving a pass to toxic behavior that ruins the game for everyone else. It is disheartening to see a game I’ve invested time into allow such a hostile environment to thrive. If you value your mental well-being and expect developers to actually uphold their own community standards, stay away. The lack of accountability from the staff is just as bad as the harassment itself.
AMAZING but…
So fun and entertaining but I have encountered glitches like looking like a guy even though I picked a female character, Also I don’t like the dating thing I don’t like because I’m a girl so unless I pay money I’m gay! Please fix these but at the same time thank you for such a great game!
Greedy developers
Been playing for a couple of years, the game is fun once you know what you're doing but does become very repetitive. I and lots of others in my union have had ongoing problems with the game lagging, freezing, error messages. There are cross server events that require saving for months and months which in my case have been wasted (half a year) because of errors with the game and the items not adding. The game has a contact centre for help but they have just sent me round and round in circles for months on end, even after me providing proof (screenshots) and they refuse to compensate. I wouldn’t recommend investing money which I’ve made the mistake of doing, as when there is a genuine problem they don’t care about the players at all. Everything about the game is designed to make you pay or buy diamonds packs. The majority of the servers die very quickly, eventually you only end up playing with around 10/15 active people but they are constantly adding new servers while neglecting the old ones.

I have only just got the game. Like, I am 20 seconds into it. I was just wondering if i can change the gender of my avatar. Like, when I unlock the customisation option can I change their gender? Also I am sorry if this sounds rude or whatever but is it possible to make the pronouns they/them? Sry for bothering you.

If you’re on a budget, this game is not right for you. It’s strictly pay to win. Also, my server has been dead since the pandemic, and since we can’t take our progress to other servers, we are stuck.
Not what you may think but still fun

Playing this game for more than a year, the gameplay and idea was great. But the developers made it entirely pay to win. They keep adding more packs to purchase, so no chance to complete for those who are paying a small amount. Bear that in mind if you want to test it. Also game allows Russian to spread the propaganda that supports war and their support does nothing about it
The most pay-to-win game I’ve ever seen
While I enjoy playing and I’ve met some great people, the only way to do well in the game is to spend money, and lots of it. I’ve spent at least $100 and I’m still no where close to winning most events or getting any special viziers. Unless you have a lot of money to spend, don’t expect to do well in this game. The game is also predominately white, even though it supposedly takes place in the Ottoman Empire. Almost all of the viziers are white and most of the companions are as well. Even the Sultan and Sultanah avatars are mostly white. There are a few Asian options for a male Sultan, but none for a female and no other races. All that being said, I still like the game and I probably won’t stop playing. I don’t mind not winning and I have pretty good self control to avoid spending too much. However, if you want to win and/or don’t have good self control, I wouldn’t recommend this game.

I only gave 6 star so it will be seen. August will be 6 years I’ve been playing GoS. Some days I really question why then it hits me. My account isn’t just a game it’s a investment $. Devs use to be about the players but I’ve seen them turn into money hungry cash cows over the years. They use to throw celebrations throughout the year. Really good ones to. Now it’s just a few and they make you pay during the celebration! I maxed everything out in this anniversary celebration that I can without making a purchase. I normally wouldn’t mind the $4.99 but a few spaces later price jump not long and your stuck paying 99.99. I’m tired of paying for everything in game. I use to spend because I wanted to get ahead now you have to if you want to participate in events. This game has gone so far down the tube that if it wasn’t for the amount of money I’ve already invested in my account I would have quit long ago! They need to start thinking about their players again and not their pockets! Stop Making New Servers Fill The Dead Ones!!! Players have only been saying that for 5 years! We are the ones on those servers try listening we play it daily we know what’s going on in servers! Be honest you don’t make changes for the betterment of your average Jo players. This anniversary really shows you are all about those big spenders lining your pocket. Yes you make changes and add things. What that means for your players. “ you gave us something new to occupy us so we’ll stop complaining. At least until we’re board with it or find out we have to make purchases to play. Your players are leaving even some big spenders are gone. All because no matter what we said or how we said it You didn’t listen. Try trusting the average players opinion. I know allot of the players here. We played other war games together. We we’re big spenders on one of the greatest games. As we watched its downfall and others. We are now watching yours! We shouldn’t have to pay to play a game that advertises play for free. It’s not playing for free when I have to purchase stamina to play. Or I have to buy diamond packs because you need to make purchases with diamonds to play! Sixth year anniversary and your best years were 1 and 2…
They allow SLAVES?
Part of the “play” is to give away slaves to companions. It’s encouraging human trafficking for one. The other is they allow too much. Several skeevy players like Korgan who groom children that are under 18. They do it in public chat and make them uncomfortable. If you don’t allow it they can cut you from playing further in coalitions etc. Why is grooming of a minor or slave play allowed in ANY game. This is wrong and until they remove players that make minors uncomfortable the game needs to be go. Slave trade is NOT ok and neither is GROOMING. It needs to be a safe place. Where they can play and be comfortable without worry of a groomer cutting them from advancing. If you block or deny the groomer they get butt hurt and stop you from advancing. THE GAME KNOWS AND DOES NOTHING.

**READ BEFORE YOU PLAY**
I have been playing this game now for quite some time. It’s not a quick game and takes quite some time to build an empire to win any real progress . It takes a lot of strategy, is fun, and the people are great to play with. Why did I rate this game a 2? A couple months back I was really growing my empire, I had spent A LOT of money on this game to progress faster (dumb I know). It seemed to be working up until now. Things I’ve noticed -resources have declined in mini games. You drop either a lot more of your diamonds or a lot more money for less than before. -when growing your empire, you were able to accomplish more damage in mini games. Now it seems like that influence is regressing as well. -new mini games are designed to take more of your diamonds or to make more purchases. -the progression of empire power has also declined. Sad thing is I’m not the only one who has seen this happening in this game. So be aware that you will not progress as you would like without $$. Even so, it is a slow progressing game

I’m addicted to this game! I wouldn’t call it really free to play cause if you want to win it it’s very expensive... But I have played servers where I spent absolutely nothing and it’s still a fun game with lots of activities to do.
Great game but to exspensive
I absolutely love this game, great graphics, good plot and most of the mini games are fun but it’s so expensive. You have to spend to much money to get anywhere it seems like. Once you get so many viziers and companions it’s hard to earn the rest of what you need or level up. It’s hard to take any wins on anything it seems the winners are the ones who can afford to keep spending. I think they should make the stuff cheaper and give people more mini games or something to be able to win what they need. Also when I buy anything it keeps charging my card for stuff I’m not buying I also noticed that in the mini games it will take more stamina then it is supposed to, so just watch this and your bank book because it adds up real fast. Other then that it’s a fun game and I play every day and have been for almost two years and I’m just halfway through level 8 so it takes patience that’s for sure.
Money grab
It’s just money grab. You couldn’t advance quickly, especially with new events that they come up with, unless you pay. There’s no cohesion on the plot. First, they added pets to the game. That’s logical… sultans have pets. Then, they added these spirit creatures that are like pets but not really… developers don’t pay much attention to the pets now that if you spent money upgrading them, you just wasted the upgrades because they want you to spend money on spirits. Events are centered mostly on spirits, not with pets
Fun and addictive, but…
Not as advertised, which is a good thing. It is fun and addictive, and the community is great. BUT it is a pay to win game, and although it is possible to play without paying, there are many long time players who dropped a lot of money so you can’t really win much events without paying a little. Change server right from the start if you end up on a dead one, otherwise changing later will make you loose your progress (developers should address this).

Enjoy the game
I enjoy game but you will have a lot of difficulty accessing your account should you ever become logged off. Support is painfully slow at getting back to you. What’s more, is there is no log on screen, it starts you over like your prior account did not exist. That is why it only gets 3 stars.

The game is fun and you get to meet other players in chat however the dev’s do not resolve issues regarding toxic or bullying behaviour from players when they spend a lot of money. This includes inappropriate remarks to underage players. There needs to be accountability.

A good game to tap away at, great way to make online friends, awesome events and graphics. I love the endless options of tasks and quests to do on a daily. Though some options for purchase are too expensive but they do have cheap purchase options too

Best game ever! Whoever created this game I encourage you to make other’s like this. But I don’t really like it when at the beginning you chose to be a queen but latter in the game ex: When you can make flowers for a girl but your married with a man and not a woman and so that’s weird. Another example: I don’t know for the other’s but I got forced by the game to make a heir with Canfeza even if I didn’t want to! Last example:While I was at the market and I was buying stuff like I forgot the name but you know those orbs that make your heirs grow up well I bot them all and know their’s no more so I need to earn them 😭 Oh and by the way call me Coconut! I was on YouTube and I saw an ad for this game it looked really good so I downloaded it. This game is nothing like the ad but it still is a good game it’s just not what u was looking for.
