I love doing the Mini Daily Crossword! It’s a great way to relax and to unwind.
Timer???
I hate the timer and the fact that the puzzle background changes color. Why can’t people just relax and do a puzzle?!
Doesn’t activate for a week after purchase
I like the puzzles and format but the subscription procedures are confusing and delay the actual puzzles for a week. Because of this I might have inadvertently subscribed twice but can’t find out for a week…. Poor set-up!
Potentially AI generated prompts, not reviewed, or just dumb
Some of the prompts are clearly taken from The Times newspapers - LA, NY, mini, because there's huge overlap and sometimes it's copied word for word, but some of the clues are just clearly wrong. Today included "Suffix for between", and the answer was inter. Did you mean PREFIX? Does the game not know the different parts of a word? Or was it another poorly AI-generated prompt? This happens every couple games where the clue is wrong. Makes the game not fun.
Show correct letters
It is SO frustrating to not know if each letter is correct. Please don’t make us get the entire word right before green shows

We came here because NYT games put the mini behind a paywall. This is fun but my husband and I compare times and my iOS game and his android game aren’t the same!!! Sync them up!!!
Fun little app
Found this when looking for a similar app to the Apple News puzzles when I ended that subscription. I like the quirky feel of the interaction text. Have enjoyed it a lot.
lost my 402 day streak bc the stupid crossword thing was glitched
i had a 400 day streak and i stopped getting new puzzles each day so i decided to wait and see if the puzzles would appear. i thought it was just a glitch and my streak would be fine. well lo and behold they finally appeared but now my streak is gone because of this stupid mistake. the app was fun but im deleting it now since i cant get my streak back.
Fun app
I have been addicted to this game lately. The only negative thing I have to say is there are many repeating words. How many times have I played "eyes" or "elf" or "spas"
Not fun timed! No one wants to play to fail, stupid! Turn it off.
No support when it doesn’t work! Waste of time when it doesn’t work and there is no help to restore.
Ads too long
Like the game but waiting over 30 seconds for an ad is too much.
Great service
We have played this game a while and had a nice streak going when the program developed a bug and wouldn’t let us in. Streak gone. We reached out to the developers and they told us how to fix our problem and we are back going strong. We are now up to 351 days straight solving the puzzle. Great way to end the day.
Doesn’t work at all anymore :(
I did the daily crossword from this app every day, up until a week ago, when the daily puzzles stopped working entirely. I loved the app while it worked, but I can no longer access any daily puzzles after June 8th.

Why is the current day’s puzzle not available until 9 PM?
This just happened recently. I’m in eastern time zone and all of a sudden the puzzle is not available until 9 PM in the evening. Please fix this!
Progress not working
The app just stopped tracking progress at all for no reason. Was alright before that.

No longer works
Stopped adding new puzzles about a week ago. Useless app now. It’s too bad as it was good while it lasted.
App Broken Now
Not sure what happened but my app now doesn’t allow me to play. It just keeps telling me to come back for the next puzzle but the Play button never unlocks.

LOVE this app and i look forward to it every day but lately it won’t let me play the daily puzzles… its always locked and say it will be available at 9:00pm but never becomes available

App doesn’t work anymore
I have been playing this game daily for months. Since last Sunday (June 8, 2025) it no longer gives you a daily puzzle. It just says today’s crossword will be available at 9 pm. I’ve checked at 9 and there is no puzzle. It used to let you go back and play missed days. Now the calendar doesn’t let you do anything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it still has this problem. It’s too bad because I really enjoyed the daily crosswords. Please push out an update to fix this problem. Thanks!
App doesn’t work anymore
I have used this app for a couple years. It suddenly stopped working. I downloaded the update and that didn’t help. The calendar doesn’t allow me to click in the day’s date.
Daily Stopped
It was a fun little daily puzzle until it stopped. Saturday was the last daily released (now Tuesday). I wonder why it’s stopped.

I love this game! Fun to see how fast I can go and how long of a streak I can get. This is a nightly thing for me.
Not automatic
Mini crossword is not available every day. Must be reminded at 9 PM. Ridiculous. New idea.
Used to be good
I used to enjoy this crossword puzzle.. but now it sucks. I even over looked the misspelling of some words to make it fit. Yes they used erroneous words intentionally. Then one day like yesterday it said puzzle was not available till noon. Couldn’t play any more. Deleted and do not recommend. Oh yeah it was free.

Nothing compared to NYT
I got this app specifically so I could play multiple games a day and I can’t. Also, you can’t leave the game and come back to it later 🤦🏼♀️ I guess I’m so used to the practicality of NYT games that I’m not accustomed to this. I think I’m gonna just delete the app bc I can’t deal with it. Good idea, frustrating execution.

Get rid of the streaks! Or at least make it optional to view.
Game now restarted
The app stopped working this past weekend and it has been very frustrating and I left feedback on their site. They have now updated their app and the puzzles are back and my days played streak has been restored. I have thoroughly enjoyed this game and I am glad they have got it working again.

Fun daily crossword!
I play this crossword app every day. There was recently an issue with the games, and the developer replied to a message I sent to their support email about it. Thanks for keeping this app going, I really enjoy it!
Didn’t get what I paid for
I like this puzzle format but this the 2nd time I have signed up and been charged $3.99 a month and can not open the puzzle packs in the current month. This happened last year too. I tried again in July. I could open July puzzles but was charged for august and can not open them. I canceled subscription. Very disappointed. I want my money back.
