Excellent vegetable/ plant Advisor
This App helps me identify, analyze and decide what to plant, where to plant and when to plant vegetables and flowers in my garden.
App is not great.
Dashboard made me subscribe again after starting my trial two times and ran me around in circles for 10 minutes. When I got my info, it wasn’t anything Google hadn’t already told me.
Pretty cool
I’ve had this app for several years and it’s very helpful. The improvements over time have been great. The only feature I wish they would implement is a notification option. One of their videos, it was stated that the feature may annoy some folks with larger gardens. Having watering and fertilizing notification options would be extremely helpful - especially for beginners. I hope the owners can take this into consideration ☺️
Need more to be useful
I use this up for my second year. It has basic functions that are useful, but it is difficult to navigate and needs more features to help manage the garden. For example, Plese have an easy way to find out where in my garden I planted a specific vegetable and what its status is.
Too small
My garden area is 25x100. Doesn’t allow that size. Yes, I could maybe do several together but that seems to be too much of a work around.
Appreciation for Seed to Spoon Gardening App.
Dear Carrie and Dale Seed to Spoon Team, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your incredible app. As a novice gardener, I found myself overwhelmed with the prospect of starting my own garden. Despite purchasing several books, I discovered that Seed to Spoon provides comprehensive guidance that has truly empowered me to embark on this journey of growing my own food. I sincerely hope that my efforts in gardening will yield success for my family and me. Thank you for creating such a valuable resource for aspiring gardeners. Warm regards, Maria Casadevall From Orlando Fl I am retired, 61 years old. I am a wife, mom grandma. I cannot wait to start my gardening journey and using the premium App from seed to spoon . Nick name is Maria I couldn’t delete the long name below.
Unreliable privacy settings
I rather have dead plants than to use this sus app. I deleted this app a few minutes after downloading and opening for the first time. First prompt was “allow location” which I promptly selected “Never.” Then I go to the “Account” tab on the app and clicked on “Location” where I assume I can enter in mg zip code. Lo and behold the app recognized my location already. Thought I was crazy so I went into the iPhone’s privacy settings and saw that Location services set as “Never” yet so curious how the app knew my city and zip code without user input???
difficult to use
very difficult to add pictures and notes. your app is not user friendly at all.
This looks great
But; all my plants are in pots 💔
No raised beds?
I really want to live this app, but my garden is all raised beds and there is no option for that
Great Learning App!
Their App has really helped me learn a lot. At first I just done container gardening this year I’m doing both. Christene
Review
This is a great app! It tells me everything I need to know about gardening!!!
A bit buggy
I use this app all the time, recently it’s become a bit glitchy especially when trying to update photos. Positives definitely outweigh the small negatives though
Too small
My garden is 101x50. The app supports nothing near that.
Information is wonderful
But putting stuff into the gardens is a pain in the butt. So I quit using it.
Love this app!
Great app for gardeners. Would recommend to keep track of your garden and answer questions
Not completely free as stated.
The website claims this is a free app. They don’t charge because they have Amazon links. However if you want to do more than 1 garden bed you have to pay $46.99 a year.
Learning curve
The app is a good one for beginner gardeners. There’s a learning curve with regard to finding out where to note that you’ve started your plants. Take some time to get to know the app before planting season.
Disappointed
In the App Store there is no mention of in app purchases. However once you download the app, you really can’t do anything unless you purchase a yearly, monthly or weekly membership. Seems like they are trying to use a scammy loophole about third party ads to justify false advertising on App Store. Also the “free” stuff the admin. mentioned can be googled with AI and YouTube being “free”.
Potential Hydrogen
It would be a fantastic addition to your app. If you added a plants optimal and ideal range of PH of the soil it grows best in. For a plant to thrive not just survive it needs to be grown in the PH it wants. Wrong PH and there is no nutrient uptake by the plant.
Fun app
I’m enjoying the app just wish it had herbs because that’s my main focus Thanks for all your hard work
Have to pay to make a bed layout
I couldn’t even finish mapping out a bed without having to pay.
Review ideas
Reduce size of icons at top of home page to one line to allow for more info about garden itself. Should be tested on phone screen, not tablet or computer monitor. Remove info about next frost, it takes up lot of screen and is of lesser importance than other info that could be shown. Fix this review screen so it automatically scrolls up when typing.
Love the concept, so many issues
This app would be a beginners dream for gardening if it would simply stop crashing. The app and my phone are updated, I’ve removed and redownloaded, cleared cache…continuous crashes.
Has potential
Doesn’t have a few common herbs such as majoram/medicinal tea herbs like borage. Kinda disappointed
Supreme gardening app created by down to earth relatable couple in Oklahoma.
This app along with the YouTube videos have taught me so much in just one year. I have much more to learn and appreciate the effort and vision Carrie and Dale have put into making the perfect gardening app. I especially like the YouTube lives on Tuesday. Thank you!!
Incorrectly identified plants
AI Bot incorrectly identified a lemon grass plant. Does not identify exact species.
Decent App
Started the app to save time this year on planning my gardens. I’d like to see the plant list expanded and secondly, it’s annoying to not be able to use the same plant in multiple gardens.
Freezes and the updates made it worse
Used to be a great app. But design updates made it impossible to plan. It constantly freezes. Too mad, good idea, terrible execution
Custom Notifications
Would like to see the ability to set custom notifications through the app
From Seed to Spoon
This is one of the best gardening sites.
Scam
Another scammy app that wants you to pay for a yearly fee and gives you adds and doesn’t identify anything
Help!
Was super excited to come across this app but it continues to reload every few seconds causing me to not be able to use any features :(
Just purchased… crashes every time I search for a plant
:(
Zucchini?
Zucchini?
Just the best
I’ve tried a lot of garden apps. None of them come close to this.
Not free
Says it’s free but it’s not
Fantastic app that is still growing! ;)
I love the articles/blog on this app. I can find answers to pretty much anything. The new Garden+ option is amazing! It is still the trial period for the development of the program, but so far it is amazing. The app makes tracking my plants easy. I can’t waist for the updates to the Garden+!
Glitchy and slow
Worked so good last year, super slow and glitchy now. Hoped the update would fix but still the same.
Metric is a thing
I’d love to be able to change the weather to metric. Makes the weather option mostly useless
garden application
What a incredible app. I've been looking for one just like this.Tons of information, all good, very user friendly at a minimal cost. Thank-you
Doesn’t work for REAL beds
This app may be great if you are planting a few tomatoes on the back patio but is no good if you are trying to grow a decent sized garden because it won’t allow a “garden bed” bigger than 8’x16’.
Love it so far!
The app is still awaiting features that I assume will bring everything together. The app could stand to grow(pun intended). But that doesn’t stop me from giving the current version 4 Stars!
Potential
I like the app but when i got to the part where you can only add 3 plants without subscription i quit- its useless with just three and will delete it. I would pay a one time payment but not a monthly subscription. Yes I see you like to say its less then a pack of seeds per month, reminds me of the apps that say less than a cup of coffee.
Such great info
I go to this app frequently! I’m newly retired and enjoying a couple of raised beds. There is always the info I need; videos if I want them. Grobot has helped identify issues and plants. And the discount at Park Seed is a plus! I love this app! Keep up the great work! It has gotten better each year!!
Ditto!
App is frozen.
Can’t log in
The app looks promising but so far have not been able to log in. The button is greyed out
