法国仓库不是自持，是三方代管。仓库偷了我几万欧的商品，zapp明明知晓顾客在中国，故意说让顾客报警。不提供监控，对于仓库没有监管，丢了之后推卸责任不加强管理反而变本加厉偷，早点倒闭吧
Douanier mal informé
Après avoir tout rempli le douanier qui devait valider le bordereau l’a annulé nous disant que l’application n’est pas reconnue par la douane française. En fait elle l’est, mais tous les douaniers n’en sont pas encore informés.
Very slow not even convenient
Currently I have been waiting over 12 weeks to receive the tax back. Zapptax cannot even confirm that they send my form to tax authorities or when it was sent. The shorter deadline is blatant lie and me and everyone else will confirm that it is more like 10-20 weeks or more. Getting a shop give you an invoice for zapptax adress is a nightmare if you are not fluent in French and can explain accountancy lingo. Only plus is you get tiny bit more which personally I don’t think it is worth the headache or the wait. My partner who used a more conventional method like Globalblue received his tax in 2 weeks. The difference in timescale is BIG. I will not use them again. If you decide to use them get ready for 3-5 months of waiting and customer service that copies and pastes the same message to you.
Refunds now works for Canadian credit card holders
Originally, after several months, Zapptax received our refund from the tax authorities. However, they then told us that the partner they were then using for credit card payments could not support refunds for Canadian and U.S. credit cards, which was the reason for my original one star bad review of the Zapptax app. A couple of months later, as indicated in the response to my original review, Zapptax told us that they were now trying out a new partner for credit card payments. It ultimately resulted in the refund to our credit card finally being processed, which is why I have since updated to three stars my review of the Zapptax app.

Recommend using it and got refund promptly. Amazing customer service too.
Buggy, Slow, Worse than Alternative
What a pain. Buggy, slow, had to make multiple accounts and support wasn’t able to help. Ended up missing out on a refund. Glad only one store used this app because this is worse than when a store just processes things normally.
It works
At first I was a bit concerned because the process is a bit a complicated and strange: you buy items and have an invoice issued to ZappTax (so technically you’re buying your items for them), then ZappTax issues you a new invoice that states that they sold the item back to you. That invoice comes with the form to claim part of the VAT back. A few observations: - the first time I used that app, given the strange process I didn’t know if it was real and if it would work. Uploading documents on the app didn’t seem to trigger anything, so I had to reach out to their support. Support answers within minutes. - Getting the invoice issued to ZappTax not only makes the process complicated but can be challenging for the person at the store selling you items. I don’t know if I’d be able to get it if I didn’t speak the language. - The customs form got rejected by the automated (PABLO) machine, and I had to get a customs agent to clear it for me. The customs officer seemed a bit puzzled by the ZappTax invoice, but processed the tax refund document since technically this is all OK. Maybe the machine rejected it because I’m an EU citizen living abroad, or maybe it’s because of ZappTax, I got no idea. Again if I had not been speaking the language I don’t know how complicated it would have been. - The FAQ says refunds typically come within 24h. As far as my refund was concerned it took 5 days after a customer rep told me that everything was in order to receive my money. But I did receive it! - The best part now: the amount of money ZappTax refunds is way higher than what you can get through the traditional organizations like Global Refund. They brought the VAT down from 20% to 3%, where the traditional way only brings it down to 8%. So it was definitely worth it. My main concern was that they are a startup, so being a small company it is harder to trust them with your money because they don’t as established of a reputation as other big companies.

Tax Refund success
I was a bit nervous since this is my first time using this app. However, it was a relatively smooth process. Download the app, make your purchase and ask for the invoice as indicated in the app (I went to Galeries Lafayette and either the clerk or their tax/concierge desk made the invoice without issue), then scan or stamp at customs. I had a bit of an issue with using an American bank account but a quick chat got it straightened out. You can either use a bank or PayPal for the refund (the credit card feature didn’t work for me). All in all I got 90% of the 20% VAT (calculated as 18% VAT on the subtotal as the refunded amount). Refund amount varies a bit depending on your total purchases. This is a lot more than the in person tax agencies! Refund took about a week after I submitted the forms. PayPal/your bank may also charge a fee for the wire/exchange into USD during the refund so be mindful for that. The in person places do the same. Definitely will use again!
No money back for months….
I tried to make the refunds easier by using the app while in France. Everything went fine at the airport and was accepted by customs. However it’s now almost 4 months later and I still have not seen my money back. I got an email that I need to attach a bank account since they can’t credit back to the card but still have not seen a dime. Doing it the old fashioned detax way I got my money after a few weeks. There is no excuse and I think they are making money by not paying out your refund. BE AWARE
Very convenient Tax-free service
Heard about this app just before my trip to France last Christmas and decided to give it a try. The most important is to understand how to get invoice from shop (offline and online), then app is very easy to use. Tax Free service works as advertised - I got my refund about 10 days after leaving France. I’m satisfied and I will continue to use this app for my next shopping in Europe.

EU tax refund made super easy!
I am using the app for years now and it a lifesaver for the tax refund process. The biggest benefit is that you’re not limited to each “store daily sales limit” in order to get a refund. You can aggregate all the receipt through ZappTax and they will be the one managing all the paperwork. Everything is digital and super easy to use. They also helped me figure out how to validate the form after my trip because I couldn’t find a custom’s agent and none of the “Pablo” machines were working. It was a bit tricky but we finally made it. Thanks again guys. Really, a great option for travelers.

Exceptional service
I’ve been using ZappTax for a couple years now and their service is really great and simple to use. I’m taking the time to write this review because the ZappTax team really goes beyond to deliver customer service. I shout out to Chantal who personally went to customs in Brussels several times to sort out an issue and kept me updated along the way. She and the ZappTax team are examples of exceptional customer service. And if you wonder, their app is great and simple.

Still waiting for my refund
Used the service about a month ago. I’m still waiting for my refund. Their team has communicated to me that they’re facing an activity surge leading to challenges in cash flow management. I am afraid I fell victim of a very well designed scam. Their team keeps contact with me though. Hence keeps the hope alive. Let’s see. Wouldn’t recommend to use for now though.

Where is my refund ?
After more than a month waiting I still didn’t get my refund. Online chat is useless repeating the same thing again again with the same stereotype message. You ll find so much better service elsewhere. Never use this poor service !

1er expérience. L’application est fluide. L’usage simple. Et puis ensuite plus de nouvelles du paiement. Rien reçu après un mois alors que la promesse est un remboursement en 24h. Le support parle de problème du système. Bref j’ai l’impression de m’être fait avoir.

easy to set up but still waiting for payment
I made some shopping whilst in France and left on 18th April. 3 weeks later and still no reimbursement. When messaging Zapptax about it they replied that there was a delay because of tax authorities. I wish they could have communicated better to advise me and give me an expected date of reimbursement. Not sure now how reliable this system is.
Great service
I rarely rate apps but in this case, I feel I should. Really great service and the app to use when traveling in Europe for non residents. Easy to use with favorable reimbursement rates. A no-brainer.
Too long refunds
Over 3 months to get a refund is ridiculous
It works!
There are a few glitches in the app and it takes time getting used to asking for an invoice under the ZappTax name and then having to explain your request at every shop. However, it works and once you get your money back it’s all worth it. It’s also easier to use when you make purchases online as you setup your invoice info once and then you don’t have to worry about it. This works great for Amazon! ZappTax customer service is great. The main request I have is for ZappTax to support purchases in Italy!
No refund received after more than 23 days!
Hello, Just to warn people out there that I haven’t received my refund from early January neither did my wife. They keep saying it will be prioritized but nothing gets processed. They claim to process it in 48 hours I believe…
Wow! Amazing service. Got so much € back!
Other than their friends and family I am proud to say I was the first ZappTax customer. I was really having trouble trying to organize all my receipts for purchase made on my trip abroad. I sent Zapp all my receipts in one bundle and they were able to process everything for me so efficiently. I had no trouble at the airport and their customer service was beyond incredible. I've never bothered doing refunds before because it was so difficult to gather the information for the claim. I will use them again in the future and have sent the links to all my friends traveling abroad. I was able to get a few hundred dollars/euros back from items purchased. So grateful, thank you guys! Where is my refund?
They may be great few years back, but not now! Definitely have not received my refunds and a week later I contact them to follow up. They replied with a long message saying they have 5 years track records of refunding 100% of their customers blah blah blah. And due to significant growth their reserve is depleted to process refund within 24 hours, but will do so ‘within few weeks or as soon as they can’! SO the question I have is - why can’t you update your website with that info instead of still claiming refunding customers timely?
