The app doesn't even open, it auto closes when trying to use it. The website doesn't even have all the options for submitting that the app does.

App is fine but charge you for payout.
If you don’t live in the EU and you have to use this app (I wasn’t given another option) they charge you 2€ for a refund, even if it’s the card you purchased on.

A fast and easy way to deal with VAT refunds when travelling
Great app for dealing with VAT refunds. Basically set up account on app, get a stamp on exiting the EU at border, upload boarding pass and receipt! Refund will be paid into nominated credit card.
Convenient but slow
It is a convenient & easy process,….but it is easy to miss things and the system doesn’t prompt you what’s missing. It has now been 3 weeks and I haven’t received a refund. The refund process needs to be faster.

Complicated procedures for international travelers
A receipt got rejected by VAT because the receipt didn’t state my name and address. I was instructed to return to the country of purchase (sure, it’s easy to get on a plane to return to the location abroad). VAT should require that these issues can be resolved online. So much hassle for minimal return. You need to stand in line at customs, get your stamps, upload the invoices to then be told that you need to return to the store for your name and address to be added. I don’t know what more proof of purchase the government wants.
Easy and transparant
This is the first time I am using VATFREE and such a relief how hassle free and easy the process is
28% Taken off the Refund.
Title is self explanatory. They list in in their FAQ that they take 28% off the VAT Refund, but they also claim to have the “guaranteed highest return”. Airport services charge significantly less at the inconvenience of waiting in a line for a few extra minutes. Don’t waste your time with this app. The convenience you pay for is not worth 28%. I am really disappointed
Tedious
Refund process is too tedious. Need to simplify. Plus transaction costs are ridiculous.
Takes along time to get refunded
After agreement seller I have to agree and push the button to transfer this costs another up to 15 days, why that long time

Tam 30 gün sürede kredi kartıma vergi iadesini aldım. Uygulamada söylenenleri harfiyen yaparsanız sorun olmuyor. Gümrükten çıkarken mutlaka form a mühür vurdurun, ve uygulama üzerinden sisteme yükleyin. Müşteri hizmetleride çok iyi mailinize hemen cevap veriyorlar. Ben memnun kaldım. Çok büyükte bir kesinti yapmıyorlar.

Seriously?!? They charge a whopping 30% for transaction fees??? For what ??? No human interaction… all the work you have to do yourself… only worthwhile if you buy an expensive item… still bummed that they charge 30%… for basically providing a platform that is self managed… on top also charges if you want to pay out via PayPal or credit card… that is stealing money on top of stealing money !!!!

Takes way too long, way too complicated. If you don’t chase your refund you will never get it. It is clear this service is designed for people to forget about their refunds and not collect. Furthermore they take a too high %, often 30% or more
