This camera needs to have more time prior to trigger I find the the event doesn't start at beginning kinda gets the tail end of the event rather then the entire thing ! Update I have 3 now and my internet speed is better so it seems are the cameras… would recommend !
Notifications
I don’t normally write reviews, but I’m frustrated. I’ve had my system for 7 years and have been pretty satisfied with it. Occasionally notifications didn’t work, I’d call and it would go back to notifying. It’s now been a month and two ticket numbers later with no resolution. All they tell me is that they are working on it. My system is working. The app is not as far as notifications! I have to check the app to see if something is going on outside. People are at my door and I had no clue anyone was outside! I’m not the only one with this issue yet they can’t seem to fix it. Google it! There are tons of folk with the same issue yet they won’t fix it. Today they tell me my system has been discontinued, yet my system is perfectly fine. The app is the issue. Lorex you have to do better.
Connecting the motion and doorbell
It would be nice if the motion camera and doorbell camera connect to this app also. So that all of the cameras were on one app. Sincerely, Ron
Advanced product with User Friendly Features.
This wireless camera system provides commercial level features and optics at an affordable price. I am a 21 year veteran in the electronic security business ( I work for the government ) and I use this system for one of my personal properties. The range is great and the night vision on the cameras is EXCELLENT. The mobile app is intuitive and feature rich. I highly recommend this system for your residential or business needs. I am not affiliated or have been paid for this review. Just an honest description of my experience with this product. Hope this helps someone.

This app/system use to be great, as of late it never loads anymore, I’m unable to see any video, I will get a alert from the cameras but when clicking the notification the camera never loads, even if I exit out the app and restart it, it still will not load, I have 4 cameras, 2 of them stopped working completely and the other 2 now doesn’t load despite paying nearly $500 for cameras that doesn’t work with the app
I’m not going to do a rating at the moment. Well guess have no choice but the positive side

Notifications
This fails to be a genuine security system if it doesn’t give any alerts as to what you have it monitoring. Like many Lorex customers, I’ve had and loved my system for years. Ufortunately, it seems it’s time to upgrade somewhere else as this company will not resolve the constant issues.

Worked for a few years then stoped working i tried to reconnect it but it didn’t connect
Happy but......
Happy Overall but seems the app didn't account for the leap year, date and time is right on main system but my motion notifications has been Having the next days date, this started in the 29th of February and notification On that day was 1 March. So when I clicked on motion notification it would show no video. Been on the phone with lorex for over 2 hours and they think it's the system when in fact I know it's the app. I can still use it and overall happy, maybe the right motion date will kick in some day lol
Overall I like the system
The only issue I have is that one camera keeps disappearing for a few days and then comes back

Good image quality but some features like security area adjustment and checking if there is a new update for camera software are looking as not working at all.

Notifications
I don’t get any notifications being sent to my iPhone AGAIN!! It was working fine few weeks ago now it doesn’t. I’ve powered off the system, checked my wifi and took battery packs all out of the camera. Uninstalled iPhone app and reinstalled all cameras. I’m still not receiving any notifications being pushed. I’ve had this system since 2011. I’ll be looking for another camera system that won’t give me any issues. This happens often. What’s the point of having a nice expensive system when this occurs all the time.

No longer receiving Push Notifications
Today is November 4, 2025. The App was working fine until last week when all of a sudden I was no longer receiving notifications. I’m on a IOS device and everything is updated.

This camera system is bad. Skipping events. Slow responses.
Very good clear picture
I wish there was a feature to set for motion, like 3 seconds required before notification. I get notifications for bugs, headlights, etc that are just a flash: enough to get the sensor’s attention.

This app is ineffective and not worth the investment in a Lorex camera.
I would rate this app a zero. I paid a lot for this camera, and I'm happy with the camera itself, but the app keeps crashing, which is really frustrating. Does anyone care about this problem? I just hope others don't end up making the same mistake by buying these cameras because of the issues with the app. Be careful with your money, everyone!

It’s better than before I just wish you could’ve bit more Wideview. I would like to go straight to my camera. playback on a different section of the app so it’s separated I don’t know where I’m going love to have the full view of the cameras as I enter in the app

Cameras Won’t connect to net,
Can’t see cameras on phone, no not connection, stopped notifications, stopped snap shots, no videos either. Tried reset nvr nothing. Standing right next to nvr won’t connect. Lorex said this was a good dependable security setup for home Distance below max. Nothing. Now Lorex discontinues & I can’t add on like support said I would be able to & They do not care. I tried new cameras from Lorex after got them here they said oh you have to use new software & then hit me w/ they discontinued what I bought. Cameras & nvr will not connect I had such high hopes from your words of guarantee.

The Worst Surveillance Camera App and Support Ever
After looking for a wireless surveillance camera system I settled on the Lorex brand. The cameras take a long time to focus and they do not react fast enough to catch movement. After a couple of weeks the system stop sending notifications on movement. The app is buggy and annoying it does not load the camera pictures or live view in a timely manner. The Lorex developers need to go back to the drawing board on this application and debug it.

iOS 18 bricked the app
It’s always been a bit glitchy but since I updated to iOS 18 my iPad won’t connect to the Lorex system unless I unplug & replug the Ethernet cable from my wifi router. Not sure if it’s a Lorex app compatibility issue or an Apple issue but either way it’s faster for me to walk outside & check things out.
