Love padel and to find one within bus reach for me is fabulous .
Not working!
Have been using this for years without problems but since latest update, it won’t load. Says “connectivity error”although I have full connectivity. Have deleted & reloaded to no avail.
Needs waiting lists for activities
Padel Mates offers waiting lists which make it fair when people book loads of activities and then cancel at the last minute. You either have to keep checking if something has come up or be notified by the person cancelling via a WhatsApp group which in my case is a She serves group which means men don’t get notified. Waiting lists are much fairer way of dealing with cancellations.
App is great, rating system terrible
The app works really well and is very easy to use. The massive downside is the algorithm for ratings. You get punished for taking on harder games and rewarded for taking on easier ones. Easy 5* if they fixed this, it’s so frustrating.
They need to add “No Show” rating
Playtomic would be better if we could rate people/ mark people as “absent/no show” so that there is a history of them no-showing matches. That way players can prepare if someone has no showed 3 matches in a row and they sign up for our match. Recently, there have been “new” players who’ve signed up for matches and they no show and none of us know the actual player. It would be great if we had an option for all 3 players who do show to mark the 4th as a no show and it shows up on their public profile where their icon is grayed out as a no show for that specific match. So when other people check out their profile they see what matches they no showed. Also there should be quarterly adjustments to people’s levels if they’ve been playing consistently. They should have the opportunity to change their level.

Just had intro to padel and really enjoyed it. Great venue and think I’m going to get the BUG 😄
Unable to Access App
States I have a connectivity issue despite being on the home WiFi and I can access every other app on my phone. When I go on my laptop I can access the website just fine but am unable to see all my classes or events of which I am completely unaware when they are
Why did I pay?
So I paid for premium and nothing happened and I keep getting asked to become premium member. WTF.??
Pending on split payment
My biggest issue with Playtomic is how it handles split payments. When you split the cost between four players, it places a holding charge on the remaining players’ shares. Even after everyone has paid and the match has been played, that hold can stay on your account for up to a week. My question is: what’s the point? It’s incredibly frustrating when I want to book another game but won't because money is still being held from a match that was fully paid for and finished days ago. It makes no sense and really needs fixing.
Payment options
Love the app, however my payments stopped working. I am not able to add or delete cards or choose different payment methods, when I click on the payment methods it shows a blank screen and when I am trying to process a transaction for a specific game it loads forever and then gives and error message.

Spam messages on chat no customer service
Recently received spam explicit messages on a private chat I didn’t join. No way of removing me from chat. Customer support is an AI bot that is useless. Not sure if the system has been hacked in some way.
Connectivity issue
Hey guys, version 6.82 is unusable on iOS 16. I keep getting a “connectivity issue” notification when connected to both WiFi and cellular data.
Poor customer service
The app has its limitations when booking a court. Card gets charged without a heads up on what you didn’t sign up for.
Good but confusing
FOR DEVS: If you only want to play one sport why do you have to constantly see other sports options in the app and have to constantly change to the one I want? When I book my weekly tennis sessions the default sport is always padel, even though I have no interest whatsoever in that. Every week I have to change it. Please make a general option available on the settings to select the sports you want to include in the app (tennis, padel, pickleball, etc.) and then completely remove all the non-selected ones from bookings, matches, play, etc. I made so many mistakes booking sessions for padel when I just wanted to book for tennis. Thank you

Great app
Really poor customer service
You cannot speak to anyone unless you pay for a premium service. The premium services’ other benefits are not worth the money if you work a normal job like most people. I just wanted to change a the time of my booking to another slot which was also available and was impossible to do. The club cannot change bookings made on the app and no one is available to help with such a simple request. Really bad support service and no phone number available, just a chat bot which goes round in circles and cannot assist with basic requests

Took money twice
I tried to book on to a court. It took the money but then said there was an issue and didn’t book me on. I booked on again and it worked but it took the money twice

A brilliant app that helps you learn & improve your game. Social, coaching, play similar level and better players. Use all around the country.
Best and worst app
This app is so good at booking into open matches. However the scoring system is flawed, your reliability has too much of a factor, and you don’t get much of a boost for beating better players than you. The AI - live chat is HORRIFIC. 2 times I’ve had issues and got no where. I ask for a human and don’t get anywhere. This feature where you can turn private matches public needs BIG improvements: 1) I didn’t realise I’m paying for everyone and anyone who joins gets a free / cheap game. Why don’t I get money back?? 2) if I’m paying for it, why am I playing against people with scores so much lower than me. If I’m paying why don’t I have control of who I play against. I have raised both of these issues (scoring + turning a private matche to public) with the live chat and got no where. Just more frustration and anger. What makes it all worse is that I am an investor in this company.

Would be better if you could actually adjust your rating higher, the majority of players have rated me as higher level than what my level says in game and I would appreciate having the function to increase my level added to my account

No in app support on weekends.
Good for finding matches but bad support
It’s a good one stop shop to find matches nearby you. However the support is limited, and they allow some users to arbitrarily leave matches early well not allowing other players to leave matches at the same time for the same reason.

This app is an amazing app and is very useful but it says that it is a 13+ and when it shows what age group ur in it shows a minimum of 18+

Problems keep occurring, cancels membership, have to reapply. Not good enough

With latest iOS 17 update I like many can no longer update and be part of community with an older device. Sad.

Essential Padel booking app in South Africa
Easy to use and they update the app regularly with improved functionality etc. would love to see the ability to set my favourite clubs instead of having to scroll some random clubs to get there.
Communication
Communication with a bot thingy is frustrating and ineffective and the actual people not much better. Turn around time responding to emails is ridiculously long!
Padel Player
It could be smarter. Especially around looking forward in the calendar. It always reverts back to now when you look at an event. Also if someone books a court why can’t we pay straight away even if we can’t book a court because of our lower subscriptions.
Fantastic app
Easy to book, gather other players and manage your results
Very disappointing first experience
Very disappointing experience, especially as a first-time user. I booked a private padel game for 4 players, but only 2 of us joined. I assumed the booking would automatically be cancelled if the 4 players weren’t confirmed, as this is how other padel apps work. Unfortunately, Playtomic does not work this way, and I ended up paying £22 for a session we cannot use. I contacted Playtomic support several times, but they were unable to offer a refund or even Playtomic credit as a goodwill gesture, and simply referred me back to the club’s cancellation policy. I understand that policies exist, but I think this should be much clearer during the booking process, especially for first-time users. Unfortunately, this experience has made me think twice about using Playtomic again.
Great app but can’t follow friends back
Downloaded app today but unable to follow my playing partners back. Just get “An error had occurred”. Hooe this gets patched for iPhone users soon.
Why is the filtering so bad? Manual adjust rank at 100 disappeared.
After 100 games I had the option to manually adjust the my rank. I came back to the app later on in the day to adjust that, and no longer have that option... I would really like to bump my rating, why did I lose that opportunity? Regarding filtering: Why am I shown games I don't want to see (e.g. I have only men, mixed, and all players selected: the app shows me women only games in addition - if the answer is because "all players is selected, that is awful coding for AND). Also WHY cannot I not select Ranked or Friendly only? Lastly filter for times. I want to be able to select both afternoon and evening...nope! Cannot. But you can select this 8 hour window, that feature does not suit my use case. Instead you can filter by worthless attributes like wall, crystal, and panoramic... Add more filters please! This also applies to alerts.
Unbalanced rating for the new players
Can you please adjust the rating system for the new players. Some users get extremely high rating even if they’ve never played the padel game before, which ruins the experience for the rest of the players on court

Just to mention the staff / coaches as they are very friendly , knowledgeable and always make you feel welcome. A great atmosphere to play and learn.

Seems odd that you just play cat and mouse over results until the last person beats you to putting in the score they want
Possible Bug
When trying to view who I follow the list only displays a few of the people I follow. It doesn’t allow me to scroll through and view the rest of the people I follow. I am on the latest version of the app. I have also uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but it still doesn’t show me all the people I follow. When I click on the people who follow me I can I can view them all and scroll down. But I cannot view all the people I follow.
Never use the chat bot
No real issues with the app. The £0.99 booking fee is excessive compared to others. Tried to work something out with the chat bot, if you need a case study of how chat bots don’t work. Go to Playtomic as you just got computer says no.
Phone compatibility
Make the app compatible to more IOS versions I had to download Playtomic and create an account on someone else’s device
Fantastic app
Makes playing padel so much easier when you have an app that brings a community. Recommend all racquet sports getting on - please Squash England!

Very well thought out court booking system, only irritation is the constant “buy shares popups” punting unregulated unsecured Playtomic shares.

The app bleeds past screen view. For a phone app it is not necessary.
