Always spot on
Buoy Map gone
Why would the map that shows buoys go away. Can only search by nearby and can’t see buoys on map to pick which one I want to view or save. I have paid for this app because I fly over water in helicopters and want to know water temp! Fix this! Or I will be cancelling and deleting the app. Disappointed.

I like the information provided by this app however it’s annoying when I keep getting asked to rate the app every 30 seconds while I’m trying to look at the weather between two and three different buoys to plan a trip

I’m having difficulty selecting buoys.
New update stinks
You really believe this update is good? Customization is gone. Now i have to pick a buoy every time i open it? So glad i am paying you for this. Well, back to FishWeather i go

The older version gave me the forecast for the day that I am now not able to find.

I bought the subscription to see the wind and wave height forecast for surfing and kayak fishing off shore. The free version showed me the NOAA forecast but the paid version only shows me the current day. Would not have paid for the subscription knowing this.

Great for planning my local diving activities.
Where are the current buoy reports? What happened? I can’t find anything.
Current wind and a reasonable prediction is all I need
Good content, too much hard sell
The data is excellent and thorough but the basic local area marine forecast (all government data, probably free to the provider) is difficult to access. For example, the near shore forecasts for the Illinois shore of Lake Michigan are sometimes unavailable. That data is the most important forecast for safety.

Clunky to navigate, does not put most important info first, way too in your face about using paid version.
What’s up with the small craft and weather advisory
Why aren’t the small crafts and weather advisories on the locations for where they we issued? You get the notices, but they do not appear in the stations. Any ideas?????

New version is not a straight forward to use
The new version is cumbersome. Old version was quick and easy to switch locations and find basic data. Not a fan of the changes and will look for alternatives.

Good Enough
I think this app is good enough it is often off on wind prediction or fog but there is no better app out there.I have tried at least six other apps.
Sea Conditions show half the time
UPDATE***- I was in contact with Mike at Buoycast and advised him of the issue I had with some of the areas in Alaska and within a day it was fixed and has worked great since. Great customer service. I would recommend this app to any boater in Alaska (and elsewhere). Previous 3 star review: My main reason for getting the app is to quickly check wind speed and sea swells so I can plan trips. When I open the app, I’d say about half the time that data is not present and I have to go on the NOAA website. Then, when it is present, and I cross reference it to the NOAA website, about 25% of the time it shows rougher seas than the website. So I’m a bit annoyed. I’m going off the seas for the NOAA website this weekend to see who’s right (hoping the website). 3 stars because: Everything else is accurate and consistently works. Would have 5 stars if it fixed what I stated above.

Disappointed
The primary reason I got this was to see wave heights at specific buoys. It never shows wave heights. Very disappointing.
Confidence Builder
We like to think that we are doing a great job planning our cruises. Checking the buoys on our route to get a picture of what is really going on and if our forecast matches “Actuals” gives us a safe feeling and confidence in our forecast tools. I would not go out without Buoycast.
