Terrible app due to data from many buoys not available most of the time. Additionally the ships displayed in many areas rarely contribute any data.
Water temp
To many times water temp is not displayed
Bring back the Smith island buoy report.
It was a good site until the Smith Island buoy at the East entrance of Juan de Fuca Sraight was removed. That report was essential to determine what the conditions in Rosario Straight might be. Thank you
Excellent Source of Sea Conditions - wave heights/winds/sea temp.
We use this app. often when we’re planning an offshore trip or even head to the beach. It gives us a decent snapshot of the sea temp. as well as sea state and winds. All vital information to plan a run.

Well, first, I NEVER thought that I would be reviewing a bouy! (There. That’s outa da way). Second and foremost, I gave 4-stars only bcz when it’s extremely cold or windy, the “numbers” get skewed. But udderwise, like today, that big ol’ Weeble-Wobble* sits out there selflessly giving up its data, 24/7, to anyone that wants it. It’s kinda sad… 👁️ 👁️ 👃🏻💧 👄 <HR> *I remembered, after I got this far, that this bouy is factually brick-and-mortar, not capable of wobbling.
Cool but not accurate
Right now the water temp is 63. This is saying it’s over 70. I just got out of the water and it is definitely closer to 63

Useful and easy
Very easy app to use. Awesome that you can favorite for east future look up. I wish you could apply filters so if, for example, you wanted to know the wind you could filter off all those that don’t record wind. Or turn off ships. Other the having to find what you’re looking for the app is extremely straight forward and useful.
No temps
I got this app specifically for water temperature in lower lake michigan. Tired of seeing “N/A”!!!! What gives??

Love this for Lake Erie buoys in regards for water temps pressure and because I got a lifetime subscription for 25$ buoy cams and buoy history

Wave data on East and West Santa Barbara booties don’t feed to the app, if you go to the NOAA website the wave height is there, Would be nice if it would feed to the app

Do not purchase this app. Better check the ndbc website for a complete report and buoy report than this. I could give zero if there is an option

Nice and easy to use app. Just wish it would show previous buoy readings without having to pay.
Plenty of information
gives me critical information about what the ocean is doing. This helps make me a better boater knowing what to expect
Upgraded
I purchased the upgrade so I can look at buoy data, and it still doesn’t work and let me look at the data. Then wants me to purchase the product again. Not good!

Clunky interface but gives good readings
BUOY THIS IS COOL
Love this app. great for fishing and any other boating weather awareness requirements. I used to use these to predict where hurricanes would track. I’m no meteorologist, but it’s a fun challenge. Long ago when I was in aviation, I used them to see what the water temperature was. It helped us predict inevitable fog on Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket and Block Island. Always file a float plan!
No data available!?!
Am I doing something wrong? Paid for the upgrade, now I get “No Data Available” as a response and there is absolutely no buoy information available.

I’ll be going on a cruise and this has been so useful in helping me anticipate weather conditions such as air temperature and wave action. Upgraded to Professional, which is VERY inexpensive. Great.

It’s super handy to have all of the buoy info right there at my fingertips, and upgrading to premium was worth it just for having an extensive favorites list alone. Sailing down the San Joaquin to San Francisco, I’m checking on all of those conditions.
