What people like
- Easy to use and navigate
- Helpful for health decisions outdoors
- Covers pollen and air quality
What they complain about
- App is slow and drains battery
- Too many ads interrupt usage
- Data accuracy seems unreliable sometimes
- Widgets do not update frequently
Accurate
I appreciate the inaccuracy of this app.
Not accurate
Downloaded this and a few other apps to track air quality for the Canadian fired affecting our area and this ones air quality was WAY off compare for every other one. It had a pm 2.5 at 78 when everywhere else had 400+.
Very helpful
And easy to use!
Poorly optimized
It lags and stutters constantly on my iPhone 13. Sometimes freezes my entire phone. No amount of restarting or reinstalling fixes it
Could be better
Based on very limited use, the data appears to be pretty good. The app is frequently unresponsive, fortunately I’ve never had to restart. Layout is functional but that’s about it. Not pretty or always easy to read. The free version is loaded with ads. Not sure if that is part of the problem. I’m going to give the paid version a try and see if that helps. Between the unresponsiveness and the really annoying ads, I would not keep the app
Clear information on air quality.
Very helpful, written descriptions as well as maps, describing air quality that helps in decision-making for outdoor activities. Especially helpful for people who have health issues, issues.
App was perfect, now ruined
This app worked perfectly and now it won’t refresh and the info is super out of date, sad!

Something wrong with data
When I open the app and see world most polluted cities, I see some list with the colors (purple, red etc and number of particles ) But when i want manually to check this data by going to browse on internet i receive different data... So i wonder if this is correct ????
Great information, slow app
The data provided is great, definitely my preferred app to track air quality. But the app is consistently slow to load. Also, I paid so I could have the widget, and it’s always lagging/stuck on a reading from many hours ago. I end up having to open the app anyway because the widget is out of date.
Air Quality app review
I have been using this for about 2 years. I love it. It is 100%accurate. Easy to use. And free. What else is there to say?
App is ok but don’t need porno ads
There is good info in the app and I understand the need for ads to support the free version but it’s not acceptable to display ads with nudity.
Pretty good
It’s good I mean really good but sometimes it shows the pollution in another area and it looks suspiciously high like 784 I’m not kidding it showed it but I think it was not true so that’s the only problem but it’s not like the app weather they check it every hour or close to that so ye but it also gives u a choice also to see UV and Pollen so I think that’s great and on the side of the number it shows what to do like: stay inside avoid activities outside and stuff like that so that’s good I recommend it
Not working at the moment?
Great app usually but from today when I click on it I just get the logo and the phrase “getting your location”.
Great app, widget never updates.
Right now if I open the app, it says the AQI is 14. However, the widget on my home and lock screens always says it’s 52. The widget only seems to refresh the AQI every couple of weeks.
Timely updates
This has become my go to for AQI information
Don’t trust it
Doesn’t let you opt you of initial data tracking or ads. I didn’t even get past that.
Not tracking precise location
It gives me AQ numbers for a city that’s 3mi away from me.
disappointed
app looks amazing but you can't look at pollen counts on the main screen. if you look at the map you can then see all pollutants including pollen but very confusing how to favourite it and then get notifications. app doesn't work well at all and needs instructions
Need to enable notifications to start using?
I’m not keen on allowing notifications just to start using the app
Great ap
AirCare gives air quality updates long before weather apps. It is also specific to your location.
Why did my phone get so hot?
App made my iphone super hot and slow within moments of installing and using. App search feature SUPER slow and unintuitive, couldnt find city location I was looking for in Texas, kept redirecting me to California— uninstalling!
Quick and easy
Easy to use
Spamming prompts on launch
Every time I run the app I get spammed with Rating prompt. As a result my usage of the app dropped. Now, in addition to Rating prompt on launch time, I get prompt for Pro membership. Helloo people, I just wat to see Air Quality, nothing more, why are you spamming so much??? Uninstalled app today and gave the rating they were asking me to do for more than a year.
Несигурност во коректно мерење
Давам три звезди затоа што не сум сигурна во коректноста на мерењата. Не може секогаш центар со сите издувни гасови да е најмалку загаден
Very good app.
This app is highly recommended because where I live air quality is very essential because of so many forest fires in our area. This app is very effective in determining the air quality and how I spend my day.
Made my iPhone burning
This app made my iPhone extremely hot and slow when I opened it several after installed. Removed it!
No longer working
My app is no longer working, unfortunately. I try opening & it just disappears. I tried deleting & downloading again & nothing. I really enjoyed this app. I know an update was done 3 days ago & that’s when I started w/the problems. Please fix.
Be Careful. It’s full of ads....
Be careful, this app is full of ads. And there’s no way to opt out of ads, nor to purchase a version without ads. I don’t need an app burning up my data to dish me ads. Generally, if an app is free, you are the product. No telling what other user data this developer may be sharing with third-parties. The PurpleAir.com website renders just fine on iOS devices. So I’ve uninstalled the app and go there instead.

Great app
Easy to navigate, accurate, complete ,and useful information and air quality stories.
Ot accurate aqi readings
This aqi is so off compared to the stellar airnow app.
History
Before you could see the historical data, not available anymore. Too bad, that was my favorite functionality
Needs more places
Option for Butel cancelled !? No option for Radishani !?
Прегледност

AQI
So far so good!!!!!
Nah.
Would be cool to offer a free option for folks in places facing major crisis like the wildfires.
Great app for air quality info!
If there’s a station in your town luckily in the central Okanagan we do
AirCare really does
It’s easy to use and very much needed.
Scammy Feel
You have to say yes to notifications a n anything they want in set up. Also have to have a free trial. No choice like no. I have a couple apps on my phone that fill my in box with junk. Sorry guys i like to know exactly what i allow on my phone. You might be a good app or not but you take your customers for granted.

Love it
I appreciate having one spot to quickly check for overall air quality as well as individual measurements of various pollens and pollutants.
Disappointed
A couple of years ago, or so, I had this app and liked it. They “upgraded” it and it crashed so often it was useless. I just downloaded it again, and tried it out. It is awful. It is s-l-o-w! Takes forever to load. Runs slow. I dumped it.
Very Good app
The app does its job correctly!
