What people like
- Very helpful for breathing issues.
- Easy to understand color codes.
- Accurate during wildfires and smoke.
- Good for tracking local pollution.
What they complain about
- Data is often wrong or delayed.
- Location services fail to find you.
- Ads are annoying and intrusive.
- No clear explanation of air levels.
Good to have AQ measures
It’s a good thing. I check our local AQ every day.
App Fails
This app does not search major cities like Los Angeles, where we have fire. You cannot search this app for that information. And now I do not trust the accuracy of this information from where I am evacuated to. Do not get.

It does the job
The app is okay but there’s no explanation on what all the different levels mean and you need to do your own homework on what’s considered safe levels. It’s bare bones.
Not too great
It showed me the Aqi of a place 5 kms away and then just one more which has a worse AQI in the extended map 🙄
Perfect
Handy and very useful also accurate
Doesn’t show NO2
This ad displays that the app shows NO2 levels. It does not.
AQI
Why this app has to pay for update? This app should be free to help people to aware of their health to protect themselves.
Location not accurate
This app doesn’t seem to know where I am. I’m in Margate and it thinks I’m in sangatte , Calais France. I have allowed location while using app so don’t understand 😐
Needs improvement
A great app which needs some attention. Why does it prompt me for notifications? Why does having two favourites in the same country mean I lose the flag?
COPD and AQI App
The app clarifies why on some days my breathing is more labored than others. Green is always good to go. Most useful for those with any breathing related issues. Thanks 🇺🇸
Terrible
Air quality figures need to be accurate for human health and safety. This app gives false information that is not remotely accurate, risking human health. Do not download! **update - developers reached out to me stating they base their figures on New York State data. It is not national data and they do not indicate this while pushing their app. Yikes.

Was great but something funky going on now
It is 2:30 EST in Ottawa. The AQI has been high (>200) for several days but is now starting to drop. But not as much as the app suggests. The reported AQI of 176 is about right but it seems to have instead assessed the O3 of 33.6 as the dominant pollution rather than PM2.5 (176) so now it is saying that the AQI is good when it should be saying moderate (?) risk. There is apparently a bug somewhere …
I like this app!
I’m a new subscriber to this App. Since I live in NE Ohio, this has been very helpful and helps me navigate my days outdoor.
Terrible data
I live in the DC metro area and we currently have smoke from the Canadian wildfires. We have reduced visibility and the local TV weather says it’s Code Red- Maroon. However this app says it’s Code Green w/score of 10! Says it’s using data from the local Geomagnetic observatory. People seriously rely on this app and giving readings that are this far off can endanger the health of many of us with lung diseases. I’m deleting this app & looking for a different one as the data is garbage- at least for my area.
Question
Where is the data coming from when it says Sarnia?
Meh
Updated
Excellent App
With all that is going with the Air Quality It is important to have accurate information. Thank you
Poor air quality
It smells very smoky- but air quality is excellent
AQI
I wish the app knew how to correctly spell British Columbia! Other than that very useful and helpful information.
PM 2.5 detected result
Easy to understand but it is not an online update info and not specifically share on where we want to know even in the area where we are currently
Asthma & my garden
I had no idea why I was taking two and three breathing treatments per day until I added this app to my phone. On the Green Day’s I barely had to use an inhaler and on the yellow days I was using my nebulizer. Now I just look for the green smiley face and Green means go, yellow means whoa.
Doesn’t cover the towns I need to know about.
Couldn’t find any of the towns I needed to know about, so it was useless for me.
Не понятно почему такой большой разрыв в показателях бывает в течении одного дня
Как-то так)
Metric only
No option to set English/American units like degrees Fahrenheit, miles per hour, etc.
Great App!
I’m so happy I found this app. I like to go walking every evening and this app lets me know if the air is breathable, so to speak. I have Heath issues and I don’t want to be out when the air is unhealthy.
Inaccurate
Does not agree with website in my area.
Light and Helpful
Please add notification function, so I can see index any time.
Good enough but...
There’s not panel to tell what the icons mean. Overall it looks good but it would be great to know what it all means! Thanks
Knowledge is Power
Knowing and taking action is the key to surviving and thriving! Filter your air because a new set of healthy lungs 🫁 are not easy to acquire these days!
So disappointed
This does not show air quality for any place around me. Sorry I bought the app.
Life saver
Brilliant app. Has made life so much easier for me as one of the super sensitive group. Was wondering if it could also be made to work on the Apple Watch.
Tam
Very good app
App is currently broken
Looks like someone changed something, probably from the collection sites. The app was working fine until this AM, (9/11). Now I only get an error when trying to access any data for anywhere.
Big Dan
One of the apps, that shows correct data for my location (Lviv, Ukraine). 2 things to improve: - ability to configure or edit first screen (near me), as it shows incorrect location - ability to upgrade app into some ad-free plan, as ads turning me mad
Lifesaver
During the current wildfires in Oregon an Washington, I’ve relied heavily on this app to keep track of the hazardous air quality. It’s helped us in determining when our college-aged daughters needed to evacuate to Washington and is now tracking the air quality in Vancouver. It’s fast, intuitive, and vital in times like these.
Useless
All I get is an error message saying it’s not the right format, whatever that means. Deleting this app for something that works. I live in California and need this information.
