Great app, great user experience
As someone who has recently moved from UK to Hong Kong, I have to say this app is brilliant. Offers and the gamification are great. Love the UI and UX. Please introduce this in the UK and help us move into the world of barcode payments.

Sometimes works
App contains an annoying bug where it sometimes hangs indefinitely on payment, even killing and restarting it doesn't solve the issue. I reported it months ago and nobody cares, not even an acknowledgement

The most ridiculous financial app ever
Not only the UI is user unfriendly especially for seniors but also so stupid that they let you register with mobile and email but don’t have the option to login through email. I have the problem of changing my mobile and they don’t have the option to login through email. I haven’t yet used it for many years and they would ask you last transaction date when you look for help…WTH
Bugs
Problems on the bottom menu. Whenever I click ‘friends’, ‘notification’ or ‘my account’, the app quit. Also, if I click push notifications from phone, it never load the notification in the app, this happens for a while already. I’m on iPhone 13 pro max. Please help and fix. Thanks.

Please add new functionality to view transaction history sorted by date and month.
It would be great if PayMe can add a sorting and viewing function for transaction history, for better understanding how much is paid via PayMe per month, And at times, need to reimburse company expenses which I pay by PayMe, it is hard for me to search back the transaction by month/date. Thanks!

Absolutely incredible means of money transfer!
Face Scan won’t work
Have been trying for scanning my to login for hours and it never works. Purely a waste of time and shame on HSBC providing such understand app for clients.
PayMe “Friends”
The app is convenient but being able to see who my PayMe “friends” give money to or receive money from is creepy and unnecessary.
Apps issue and cannot use

A ridiculous payment app
Confusing promotion which end up you cannot enjoy the supposed to have promo. Ridiculous. Will stop using this payment app.
Easy to use but not available in all app stores
I love using it, much easier than doing bank transfers. But my husband's App Store is registered in the uk and can't download it.. So it means there's alot of ppl that can't use it until it's available in more countries..

I have verified myself quite awhile ago and HSBC swiped me out with another verification. Fine it’s understandable and you know what? I can scan my identification at first and the app even asked you to lift up identification card but never scanned successfully. It makes me feel like an idiot and imagine this happened to an elderly…

Useful app, however...
This app is (so far) works easily. I like how it can be used regardless of which bank you or your friends use. However, it should NOT be a form of social media. I do not think it is necessary for everybody to see who I am making payments to or receiving payments from. While I have MY privacy settings in place, some of my friends do not. It is annoying and I could care less about who my friend is paying or getting payments from. Please get rid of that; nobody needs to have their financial accounts out there for others to see. It is none of their business.
Top up?
Why asking to top up? If using the app it is because we want to pay someone. Obvious! Waste of time. Many times to put the pin code for a simple payment. Learn from Alypay...
Great app but can’t signup
Great app, but complicated business process failed customers and HSBC digital transformation. - failed at the bank account verification step because verification SMS never reached the overseas mobile number (but allowed in HSBC account) - updated my mobile number in HSBC account took two days - failed at HKID verification! The app itself executed well. Low rating is for complicated business process.
Simple easy to use payment app
Well done Hsbc you finally made a simple easy to use payment app - If in HK download use as very easy to pay friends and family (and get payments)
Confusing and tries to take your money
I simply wanted to make a payment to someone but the app kept telling me to top up. In the end it took BOTH my payment and a set amount top up of my account, basically a double charge. Not at all my intention.

I’m new to this App, but very pleased with its ease of use thus far. Highly recommended!
The ok our money, closed the account and won’t refund
PayMe allowed us to set up an account and transfer in $1000. Then PayMe sent notice the account is not eligible and shut it down but will not return the $1000. There is no clear process to retrieve despite several emails and communications. Next step is the banking regulator. Will update the review when we learn more. Update: as soon as we threatened to involve the HK regulator we were given access to our money and able to retrieve it. So now we are finished with PayMe. Changed from 1 star to 2 stars for getting our money back!
Credit card info required?
Convenient enough but why do you require us to input credit card info if we have sufficient balance in our PayMe account to cover our transfers? Seems a bit excessive to me

Bad Performance- don’t bother
This App is so bad at an important function (digital payment) that I am motivated to write my first app store review. The issue I have is that the app is slow to open, slow to pop up the merchant payment code and frequently just gets stuck. Originally, I only used it to send money to a friend, then I naively registered my consumption voucher. Now I find few merchants take payment from this app and much, much worse I find myself often standing in from of the cashier- like just now at 7-11, waiting for the stupid app to open and bring up the payment code. App just froze, I can’t stand there for a couple of minutes waiting on the App. Complete fail.
Great App, Time-out Often
Really enjoy this app, and it’s been gaining momentum, perhaps at a pace that the HSBC hadn’t planned. App often takes minutes to transact during peak periods or times out altogether. Developers need to add more capacity and also needs to improve logic and error handling when the transactions fail/time-out (i.e. duplicate top-ups).
Issue paying via WhatsApp
After a recent upgrade the app can’t automatically create a link and open WhatsApp for you to send the link to a contact which isn’t already a PayMe friend/contact.
Extremely useful and convenient!
I really love this app. Great when you're with large groups at a restaurant or splitting a cab. It's also useful for paying rent or when traveling with friends. The new request function is very convenient as you no longer have to wait for people to pay you. Will continue using on a daily basis.
Used to work
This app worked fine until a few months ago when they added a facial recognition security feature. This feature does not work and I have not been able to access my account since. Garbage!

Absolutely convenient to pay others for split bills, group gift contributions etc. no need to go to the ATM to get cash and pay someone. Somehow find this more convenient that HSBC's EasyPay... but the social media aspects of this - having to add a comment when I pay someone is annoying - adds a few seconds to an otherwise fast experience. Good job and keep new features coming!

Waste of time. Use FPS from other banks much better
Totally inferior app. cannot even find contacts in my contact book Someone paid me money here without me asking for it. Even though I had a balance it made me jump through hoops to access my money including linking a bank account just to transfer my own money to my wife. It’s basically inferior to FPS and already obsolete.
