Great baby tracking app
Detailed and easy to use, helps build confidence as first time parent and sleep tracking “sweet spots” working really well for our 3 month old.
The watch app doesn’t work
It constantly asks you to open your phone, which means there’s no point in the watch app. Huckleberry are utterly uninterested in fixing this problem
Sleep tracker constantly crashes
I’ve had this app since my now 6 year old daughter was a newborn and it has been absolutely invaluable in keeping track of everything from feeds , to nappies, temperature, growth and most importantly SLEEP! Now at age 6, my daughter still really struggles with going to sleep and I chose to keep my subscription for the “sweet spot “ sleep predictions that the app gives you if you keep on top of tracking your child’s sleep patterns. HOWEVER, just recently, EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to stop the nights sleep tracking of a morning wake up, the app keeps saying that another user has started the sleep session and if I want to change anything I have to cancel the sleep session and basically start again, which means I lose the time my daughter went to sleep the night before and I’m left guessing it! It also often refuses to save a completed sleep session and the whole app will crash and I lose the sleep tracking AGAIN, and each time I go back into the app I have to go through the same rigmarole of the tracking being started by another user, lose the data, input the rough data from my sleep deprived addled memory and then the app won’t save this new session and I end up giving up. I force close the app and restart and it still does nothing it still doesn’t fix the problem.. and when I’m at my wits end at 10/11pm at night after three hours or more battling with my daughter to go to sleep- I REALLY NEED the sweet spot prediction time to see if we’re anywhere near to what time she should get to sleep! I’ve logged numerous complaints about this issue via the help function in the app and I’m still not getting any response or answers!
Good functionality but it deleted all my baby data
My wife and I were using this app to track our newborn for the first two weeks. Was really useful and easy to use, helped so we both knew when the baby had last been fed including how much, and when the baby had last been to the toilet. One day the app just deleted my baby data and when I went to login again, it asked me to add a new baby. The data seems to be unrecoverable so I’ve had to delete the app.
Mostly fantastic app, couple of frustrating flaws
I’ve been using Huckleberry on the premium plan for around 2 months now and have found the app so useful. In the early days it helped with midwife & health visitor questions and our own peace of mind tracking feeds and nappies. As we’ve used it more it’s helped us make sense of what to ask for from doctors and what quirks are emerging as our son grows. There are a couple of annoying flaws though! 1) often the app will bug out on my phone (iPhone 17), and the menu & navigation at the base of the screen will disappear. I have to quit and relaunch the app to fix. 2) offline use is buggggggy. I wish the app allowed for local storage of feeds, nappies, sleeps etc that then were uploaded when you reached data. On holiday recently we lost a bunch of data as events we logged without signal were not tracked when we arrived in signal areas. 3) backdating data is A PAIN. When you log an event and click save, the app takes you back to today’s set of logs, instead of the date you’ve been editing. In the holiday instance where we lost data, this meant extra taps after every nappy or sleep or feed we backdated to get back to the day in question.
First Time Mum Approved ✅
I found becoming a Mum probably the hardest thing ever & I know everyone says that, but you’re never truly prepared, are you? I was a ball of anxiety, fighting with bottles - how old is this? has it nearly been 2 hours!? , sleep - how long? when did he wake up? how long ago was it since I changed his bum? I had so many frigging things to remember & I was burning out from that alone, let alone trying to actually get to grips with doing it outside of my brain. This app SAVED me, it took all the thought process out of it & when my baby stopped sleeping like a newborn, it helped me adjust and it was on the money every damn time, this app played Dad. I could not have gotten through the first year without it, the sweet spots, the little updates, the reminders. I recommend it to anyone that will listen & now I don’t need the app anymore, sadly. It’s like it’s helped me grow my Mumma wings & I must now fly off alone. If I ever have another child, I’ll be back. Honestly though, this app does it all & it’s really really really great. Does what it says on the tin. 👏🏼✅
Removed free sweet spot times
I only used this app for the sweet spot times which were super helpful. With my first baby I didn’t realise it was a free feature (the UX made it seem like you had to pay, so I did) it wasn’t till friends of mine asked why I was paying if that was the only feature I was using since it wasn’t till friends actually free. With my second I didn’t pay and I was using the free sweet spot times and it wasn’t till friends great. Then I had a break due to illness and now after inputting 3 days worth of naps (as directed) there is now no sweet spot recommendations so me spending all that time inputting was a complete waste of time! Why tell me to input 3 days worth of naps and then tell me I need to pay?? That’s super bad. Like I’m dealing with 2 under 2 and so this is really frustrating. Like if you’ve changed the app and now it’s ALL paid that’s fine, but you need to communicate that better, you shouldn’t allow me to input naps without a pop up telling me that this won’t provide sweet spots unless you subscribe. If you’d been upfront I probably would have just paid (since I have in the past and know how helpful it is) but to do it this way and waste my time.. it’s a no from me. I’d rather find and pay for another app than give you my money if this is how you treat your users.
Great app but updates always cause an issue!
I do love the app, but every update leads to a new issue.. widgets stop working, live updates stop working, Berry stops working etc. You have to delete and redownload so many times, it’s very frustrating, I’ve almost cancelled my subscription a few times. If they could just sort that, it would be perfect!
Free version is fine, paid is unnecessary
The app is decent, it’s pretty helpful having the timer for sleep and feeds. Can be a bit finicky if you forget to stop the timer, selecting the stop time is never easy for some reason. We got the paid version for a while for the Sweet Spot but honestly it’s a waste of money. It mostly just splits the waking hours by number of naps to select a time, and doesn’t alter the suggested nap time based on actual length of previous nap, resulting in a grouchy baby. They also have started moving previously free features into the paid only version, like having a widget on your Home Screen. Cheeky cash grab is just a bit disappointing.
Good Algorithms. Predatory pricing
I used Huckleberry with my middle child and just completed a trial with my 4 month old. The sweet spot windows work fairly well - though do miss the mark quite often if she has a short nap and clearly needs to go back to sleep - sweet spot doesn’t see this. The AI is also fairly poor and doesn’t recognise when an active nap session is happening. My biggest gripe with huckleberry is that the cost is completely predatory and not in line with the service. I’m completely priced out of the app - but fortunately ChatGPT offers just as good insights. The pricing preys on new parents who are exhausted and trying to do their price. It’s absolutely too much for what it offers in my opinion and I won’t be purchasing. I might have done if it was a third of the price.

Lose of functionality on the last update
Firstly the app is fantastic and has been beyond a life saver since our baby was born!!! The latest update seems to have removed the preview setting on the iPhone, before I would get the sleep timer on the top of my phone but now it’s blank it’s still a shortcut to the app just doesn’t have the information
Not worth the money
Started really well and I paid for the year but the glitches loading in the middle of the night do my head in. Sometimes only half the screen loads. I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal but when you pay £100+ you expect better Continued loading errors and upon contacting regarding these issues, was told “it’s not us it’s apple”. Why not do something about it?!
Concept of the app is great, execution of the app is not
Find huckleberry very useful and has helped a lot with naps etc, however the app is very flawed. Constant bugs and long loading pauses for simple actions like pausing feeding timer or adjusting timings. App could be much smoother in general.

2 months in and the app just stopped loading completely blank screen. I’ve deleted and re downloaded it, restarted my phone , updated the app and my phone nothings worked. Upsetting because I loved the app
Logging: great; Paid features: disappointing
Surprised there are so many 5 star reviews to be honest. Good for logging - clean, simple, and quick to record sleep, feeds, nappies etc. The free app is handy if you just want a reliable place to track data. But don’t pay for the subscription. The paid tiers promise SweetSpot predictions and personalized sleep plans, but they’re often hit or miss and didn’t solve our sleep problems. In practice the recommendations feel generic and the SweetSpot timing can be wrong, so the subscription doesn’t feel worth the price. Use the free version to record data; skip the paid plan unless you want to gamble on the extras.

Not realistic or inline with UK standards.
It’s great to begin when he was about 6 months but soon as nap times and schedules really mattered it didn’t help at all. In the UK it’s stated babies at 9 months will sleep around 10 hours a night. Our schedule kept trying to push a 12 hour night. Despite how many times I’ve emailed and said my baby is incapable of 12 hours, it was always ignored and every sleep plan was based around a 12 hour night. A 6:30pm bedtime is way too early. Sleep plans are always based off of ‘a perfect picture’. For example, my baby would wake at 4:30/5am which I raised over a month and the only things suggested I found on google anyway, and didn’t help. The sleep plan is then based off the ‘6am’ rise. But this wasn’t our day…it didn’t help with what to do from 4:30am rising and how to deal with the day etc. I even made it explicit in our sleep analysis questionnaire his rough sleep needs, his wakings, his rising time our issues and it was always a schedule that just wasn’t realistic. It’s a lot of money, and it hasn’t helped us in the slightest. If anything just made things worse whilst we followed the early bedtimes and he woke even earlier! Think the app is more for babies with more predictable or ‘average’ sleep, not when sleep is a bit of a hard spot. I was an exhausted mum super excited for the schedules and advice etc, and in the near 4 months we’ve had it, it only seemed to work for about 2 weeks. Really disappointed and frustrated.
Nice app if you have money
I found the free trail very useful as it really helped predict when my baby naps would be but I couldn’t justify paying £12.99 a month especially as a single mother. Money just doesn’t grow on tree it’s a shame as I heard some of the features used to be free but have now become a paid service. Will be looking for another app that does the same thing or will use Chat GPT which will help me predict nap time
Life saver of an app!!!🤩🤩
Literally do not know how I would manage without Huckleberry!! It tracks absolutely everything for me. As a first time mam I was extremely anxious to start, trying to keep track of nappies and bottles (she has colic so everything was slightly overwhelming) but this app just made everything so much easier for me. It tracks everything from temperature to medication to potty training and naps etc, I love it and can’t recommend enough
Broken
Latest update broke widget and live activity functionality. I’ve had to sign in 5 times today.
Unstable
Constantly doesn’t register logs, and logs me out, and then refuses to log me back in.. stuck on “Downloading settings”.. messes up my whole day
Amazing app
We have been using Huckleberry since our baby was born and it has been a godsend. I cannot remember every single little thing when caring for a newborn but with Huckleberry means I can track everything! It’s hard to remember things when you’re very sleep deprived in the early days, so when a health professional asks me questions on how many feeds and diaper changes my baby has had on average etc, I can look it up on Huckleberry. The sweetspot feature has been incredible! For the first four months, you’ll have to bear with it and put the data in, but after that, it works pretty much perfectly and we have had wonders with it!
Beware Extortionist!!
I cancelled my subscription since February and they haven’t cancelled it and still charge me!! And now there is not even an option to cancel in the app. Stay away from this app cuz it’s gonna steal your money

Amazing for reassurance!!
I do not use the app religiously but it has offered great reassurance as a new parent. It’s great to look back at what’s been done and roughly how long ago which can give rough indicators for next feeds allowing a little time to plan a nap or some self care time. Helps you celebrate all that’s been done, reassurance that their needs are being met and that I’m doing a good job
Perfect baby app
Perfect for a family with 2 dads - you both have the all on the phone and know what the other has fed/changed etc. It’s been an essential app.
Best app for first time parents
Out baby is now 1 year and we use it mostly for tracking nappies and her sleep but the whole app is a must for first time parents as peace of mind of knowing you are doing your best and keeping things logged definitely helps, especially when you are tired and confused. I have to say the premium features were excellent at the beginning to find a good sleep routine and our baby has been sleeping through the night since she was almost 5 months.
