Amazing App but some issues commenting
The info in the app and book are insightful and huge help in figuring out how to help my son grow but having annoying time posting in the forum. Anytime I click the comment button my response bar disappears until I hit done. It’s very frustrating but other than that the app is incredible and make sure you read the book as well.

App/Business
The app itself has useful information; the leaps haven’t been exact on timing but understanding how my child is generally developing at a given time is helpful. However, the company/support service seems very sketchy. I asked a tech support question, and they couldn’t answer it but offered a refund. They said they could only refund on PayPal and needed my information… They couldn’t refund the card used or offer a discount code for a future purchase. That doesn’t seem right.
It's not that accurate
Babies develop at different rates so the estimated range on this app isn't accurate for a lot of babies, including my baby. The information isn't all that useful. I made the purchase on a whim and wish I could get a return but I can't.
Good
Super helpful for a new parent. Would have been tearing my hair out wondering what I’m doing wrong without it. However it’s based on data from as study of like 15 babies but it acts very confident in its predictions. My baby has been early to a few of the phased even though the app refused to believe it. Still good though. I’d have freaked out in the first fussy phase without it because we had the most chill newborn that suddenly lost it. But do take it with a grain of salt and treat your baby as a variation on the small sample size. I wish they’d build on the original study.
Great for new and experienced parents
I’ve been using this app since my first child was born over five years ago! It has helped me so much, both in mentally preparing for and better understanding those fussy periods when they’re inconsolable, and in finding ways to stimulate their developing brains. Now, I’m using it with my third and final child, and it continues to help me strengthen my bond with them.
Stuck in 2021
Looks like this app hasn’t been updated or maintained much for years. The app has no dark mode so your eyes get blasted by white and yellow when you’re in a dark room.
My 20 month old’s sleep schedule
Hi, I don’t know if it has anything to do with the leap my 20 month baby is about to enter but my baby is not sleeping till 12am and he wakes up at 10. This is really messing up. With his and my schedule. I really want to put him on a right schedule but fail to do so. Please let me know what I can do.
Waste of money
You have to pay for a subscription in order to see what the app is really about. If it’s not what you’re looking then you’re out the subscription payment because they don’t do free trials or refunds.
Behind on actual leaps
I feel like it’s a little behind on actual development. My baby was born early so I feel like her jumps are more aligned with her actual birth date vs her estimated delivery date which was what the app recommended

I love this app! It is very helpful with explaining certain behavior at different times, to help parents understand what babies and young ones are experiencing, and gives you great ideas of things to do with your little ones during each phase!
Bugs
It would be great but every time I click something, it unclicks it for me. I want to follow along but the app doesn’t allow me to.
“Fussy phase”
The app will only ever tell you that your baby is in the “fussy phase” with no other phases
It’s ok but I wouldn’t recommend paying for it
It’s ok. The fact that by the app’s own admissions leaps can be off by up to 2 weeks is slightly annoying. As new parents you want clean-cut answers not guesswork as to whether your baby is 2 weeks ahead or 2 weeks behind or somewhere in between. It’s also annoying that it makes you think that all the things mentioned in one leap will happen before the next. We’ve found that it’s our son that there are still things from a leap or two ago that he doesn’t yet do but things from a leap ahead that he’s already doing. Equally, our son has been fussy for like the last 6 weeks, so it’s annoying that the app presents this neat timeline of fussiness vs calmness when the reality, we’ve found, is much different. Some of the games it suggests to do are good and interesting. But I wouldn’t necessarily recommend paying for the app as it can be wildly out of step with your child’s development.

AMAZING- This app is GOLD!!
I discovered this app with my firstborn 13 years ago and was fascinated by how accurate it was. It did away with all the "wondering" I had about what my son was thinking as a baby, when he was happy or sad, etc. and told me more than I would ever know or could ever know otherwise. It was spot-on. I remembered it when I had another baby, who is just now 1 year old. Even her dad is amazed and his jaw drops every time I read to him about a current leap. It's one of the only apps that, hands down, is worth every penny of the small cost. It's literally like a psychic reading into your baby's everyday life, and that's priceless. I love that they've incorporated suggested playtime activities to do with your child to help them practice their new skills each leap--this insight also helps me know which toys she will be most satisfied and interested in if I need to get things done around the house. This app is GOLD!! Get it today!!
No way to cancel
As a first time parent, i thought the app was great for a while, but i did not want to continue for the second year. Problem is it seems they made it near impossible to cancel. It doesnt show under my app store subscriptions and it will only show me as active in the app, and no billing info or way to change anything. Based on this, i would not recommend the app as it can be replaced by some basic internet searches about baby development
Excellent resource
Spot on developmental assessments but super buggy app. Fails to download smoothly on all screens. Randomly closes out while using the app.
Don’t waste your money
The app is overwhelming, throws a bunch of information that you have to slide through to see, isn’t accurate and makes you question everything just save yourself the nonsense and don’t get it

So far so good. I just wish the messaging piece worked better. I have posted messages, which is a little difficult but then I never know if someone responded and it is hard to find my message again. Other than that I like that it gives information on what to expect. Foe the most part it has been spot on for how my little has been.

Postpartum & Newborn Care is a critical time for parents . I’m a Doula & Newborn Care Specialist -Wonder Week App & Book is great tool for new parents and working tool in my career. I cannot recommend it enough.
Years of diary entries lost!!
Wonder weeks has a diary feature. I have been using it for YEARS. I have (had!!) years of entries. Lots of memories. They recently nudged me to “create an account” and this process deleted all the diary data! Support confirmed it’s gone. No way to get it back. So yeah, 1/5 stars.
Great concept; glitchy app
Lots of useful tools but the app itself is pretty unreliable and glitchy
Use with Caution
This is not always accurate. All babies are completely different and develop at different times so don’t count on this being accurate timeframes. My daughter was about 2 weeks later than claimed and would not be in the fussy phase for as long as it claims. As a FTM, this honestly made me a little more anxious than anything.
Pretty average
Its pretty off by Atleast a week. Repeat all the same symptoms for all the leaps. The videos dont make sense and are captioned incorrectly (leap three smooth sounds) Mildly interesting but no need to pay for all this the information is available everywhere.
Best app to track leaps
It’s amazing at helping you figure out what’s happening with your baby and what they are going through and things to help. It truly saved us with our first and when i got pregnant with my second I knew I’d be suing the app again.
Waste of money
Not very helpful. Pretty much is just a generalization of information of what may or may not be relevant for your kiddo. I was hoping it would be more personalized.
Dark mode
Needs a dark mode! I’m always reading while my baby is napping on me 😂
Can’t rely on diary
I’ve done 66 entries and it’s now incredibly slow and laggy so I’m having to find a different place to store my diary which is a shame.
Great app but would be better if you could say your baby is in the leap they’re predicting
The app in FAQs says the leap could be out by 2 weeks, so if I can recognise my baby is in a leap. Doing all the things that should be doing you should be able to state they’re in the leap but the app doesn’t let you just says ‘your baby isn’t in the leap so can’t move forward. Bit frustrating so taking everything it says with a pinch of salt. Wish I’d just paid for 6 months not a year.

Part of a tool box of parenting info
It’s not as amazing as I was expecting, following great word of mouth reviews from friends. It’s useful to come up with tools and ideas to entertain our baby, but we are finding her milestones are all mixed up as she was 1 month premature (but otherwise healthy). We’ve only been using it for 3 months, though (1.5 leaps) We are using it in combination with Parents Groups info, CMH nurse visits, and a recording app, and other reliable sources. That being said, the suggested games/ tips/ things to try are quite good, and our little one enjoys them. The info videos are also good. It doesn’t say anywhere if it adjusts the predicted leanings based on what your baby is actually doing at different times. That would be useful to know (or to even know that the evidence doesn’t support that). I still think it is a useful info source, but just that the timings are slightly off for our little one.
Confusing
Very confusing layout and set up. Not easy to use and a lot repetitive information on each leap.
Locked behind paywall
To save people the download, the app does not have “in app purchases” it is entirely subscription based and locked behind paywall with no access to test a free version first.
Leap 2
Leap two has helped us a lot! Made us aware of new patterns and new skills our baby girl is having. As a first time parent we want to do our best and The Wonder Weeks has helped us so much.

Not worth it Al all. Same info you can get for free and you have to pay before you can see anything.
Can be a worry to first time parents
The leaps and stuff help me to understand my daughter a bit better, for example it would help me to know why she wasn’t sleeping or being really fussy. Although it’s helpful, some of the targets or skills are too advanced for their age. I remember having such anxiety with my first and not understanding why she wasn’t hitting her skills. Second time I’m a lot more calm and trust that the skills aren’t always a reliable baseline of what they should be doing
Unrealistic for all babies
If your baby doesn’t follow the ‘norm’ it can make you question yourself. Whilst I can see it could be good it was too rigid a structure for me and in hindsight I wouldn’t have bought it
Not worth the money
The app does give some interesting insights into the developmental leaps your baby is going through but it is way over priced! If I had the choice I wouldn’t purchase this again. Save your money

The English version of the app is bad
Explanations are not very understandable. No good examples and very weird phrases. (If the child is “naughty”, talkies about a one year old)
Making sense of tough times
Pretty incredible to see my kids grow and develop and have more context for what they are experiencing which allows us to be more thoughtful parents

I’m sure it works well for some, personally I found my baby never matched up to the predicted phases. All it did was give me massive dread for certain weeks, that would then be largely fine and I wish I hadn’t worried so much 🤷♀️ also found the interface quite counterintuitive to use
Not really for me.
It was helpful when my baby was little to understand why things were happening but I have not checked the app for a while and certainly not as often as I would. I think every baby is different evolving at different speeds, so seeing the checklist of skills sometimes makes me wonder why my baby is not there yet and then I worry. Anyways, not really my thing.
Worth it!
Love this app so much! It helps new parents navigate and understand their baby’s development with confidence.
I do not get the hype around this app
I purchased this app based on a recommendation from my sister in law. I do not find it that helpful. Yeah it tells you when a “leap” is about to happen but that’s it. I do not get the app that much and why parents like It. I regret purchasing it and will not renew.
Nothing new 9 years later
Great app but has been logging me out. Says I’m logged in elsewhere? Update: I remember 9 years ago this app being free. I’ve paid £30 and got nothing more. Just random information that may or may not show in my child during a leap. I’d personally save your money and just google why your child is cranky at 4 months old etc.
Vague and a bit like seeing a clairvoyant
It’s been reasonably vague and abstract and not useful at all to actually deal with ‘fussy phases’. Wouldn’t bother getting it especially as you have to pay

They should do a free trial. My daughter doesn’t link with the ‘fussy’ and ‘skills’ stages. Good for ideas of what do to with little one and to know what’s happening in each phase.
