I absolutely love this interactive visual novel, have played it since the initial release and have revisited it on and off over the years. I highly recommend it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A Predatory Game
I remember being so happy that there'd be a game where I could be properly gendered and have cute, dramatic plot. Then everything changed when the micro transactions attacked. By the most recent abacus shuffling that i've seen online, this game costs 150$ for its entirety; that calculation is two years old, so it's likely higher now. The terrible thing is that I doubt people would have noticed or griped about going back on Kickstarter promises about the supposed 1.99$ price tag, if you had sectioned the transactions to come to a reasonable total cost and delivered on the desktop app promise. Micro transactions like this are a predatory marketing scheme and it's not okay.

I downloaded this game a few years back, and decided to download it again recently! The story is absolutely captivating and the character designs are *chefs kiss* 👨🍳 ESPECIALLY JULIAN HOLY SMOKES THAT MAN IS HOT. This game feels different to your regular story choice games, there is so much depth to the characters and it’s hard not to fall in love with them. I also really like how the story chapters are a nice length, I’ve noticed with many story based games the chapters are like really short for no good reason, arcana has lengthy chapters with heaps of detail!! The way you can dive into different characters POV’s of the story is absolutely amazing, I just love this game so much. The reason why it isn’t 5 stars is the coin system, although it has improved which I’m very happy about there’s now many more ways to get coins it just hurts when you can’t choose the choice you really want because you brought a choice earlier 😔I would really love if there was even MORE ways to get coins, maybe make the wheel more likely to give you coins not trinkets, or even just increasing the coin amounts that are listed, I know there’s an 1000 coin option but it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to get 😢I do heavily appreciate the way you can watch 3 or 4 ads a day to get coins {around 60 coins a day by watching ads} but I know a lot of people are impatient and having to stop your story when there’s a choice you REALLY WANT and grinding the wheel adds, game and daily login for like a week before having enough to progress knowing you can choose the choices you want!!! I’m honestly fine with the 3 keys every 7 hours, I think it’s fair and the chapters and lengthy enough for it to not take forever to progress through the story. I would LOVEEEEEE to maybe see some more content released, maybe a 2nd set of story’s when the player has completed all the routes 👀 although I know that would take a lot of time and effort, but I think fans are willing to wait! Another idea would maybe be events, I’ve seen many other games have events throughout the year these events can reward the player with coins, keys and any other items the developers think of (maybe a new source to the game??? 👀👀👀) I’m not to sure how these events would work, maybe reading 10 chapters rewards you with 100 coins or so? Or like other games doing certain “quests” to achieve rewards, I honestly think this game has SO much it can work with to make the game even BETTER and maybe even bring in a new audience or even fans that may have left the game or become bored as they have finished all the content the game currently has to offer! Even adding little side quests during the year in reward for special items (I know there’s routes you can buy for coins) that just add some extra content and make it easier for players to get items/coins/keys also bringing hype to certain times of the year. Maybe even adding special Christmas quests where you help the characters during Christmas (or any other celebration) and earn rewards while maintaining providing more content for users. I honestly can’t get enough of this game it’s amazing and if you have read this review I now TELL YOU to download this game, don’t feel discouraged by what I said about the coin issue!! You can still play the game and save for certain choices, the game will provide enough for you to at least choose a few paid choices during your play throughs, and I mean if you really wanna buy coins/keys I honestly think that the prices aren’t that bad $15 for 30 keys is honestly quite good meaning you almost finish the story of one character, also they have coin sales right now you can save about 20% which is great if your looking for cheaper coins to buy!!! DOWNLOAD NOW!!!!

In-Game Purchases
I absolutely love the art and the music and the characters! The story is glorious... I'm just mortified by the prices. I can't grasp the understanding of having options that seem more appealing having such a big price tag... And it appears to be mostly teenagers or young adults who play this. What makes you think we can afford such things? I do however understand that these sort of games require profit and such, so I can see why you have in-game purchases, but for such a high price? It baffles me.
My honest opinion as a fantasy author (sort of)
Just remembered this game existed today and was like “hey! i should write about this!” so i am. Note that I don’t play dating sims and the like very often. My only other places of comparison are Doki Doki Literature Club and Obey Me (and a sprinkle of Episodes). Basic stuff. This also gets very long, apologies. Overall, it’s a great game. The storyline is engaging, the characters are well written, all around entertaining. When i had it, it was a fun little pass time between school and studying and whatever else came up from time to time. It’s not too cliché, it’s not cringe, it’s well designed, not too many problems in that field. What bothered me, however, was the money side of it. Similar to Episodes, there are choices that require you spend money, which can often leave you feeling a way not desirable if you don’t have the money to spend. Yes, I know, I come from games that don’t make you spend money at all if you don’t want to. And yes, it does give you free money to begin with. But you run out of money /very fast/ no matter whether you pick paid choices every time, or if you try to keep that money until you feel it’s the right time to use it, or anything in between. Yes I know, this is aimed at adults. But /a lot/ of the fanbase is fast developed and/or curious small kids and teens that don’t have the money to spare or have to rely on their parents. No kid is going to go up to their parents and ask for money to pay for in game currency /for a dating sim/. “Oh i’ll just steal my parent’s credit card/s” is an option for some kids… but that’s a complete other topic for another day. (*cough* roblox and fortnite *cough*) Otherwise, I have nothing else against this game. Yes this is the classic “oH bUt It CoStS tOo MuCh” complaint. I know. That aside, like I mentioned previously, the design is pretty good for a game on the app store, it’s well written, the character design is well done, all in all pretty good. I know you have to make revenue somewhere, which is fine, and if i was able i’d be chill with spending money if said money didn’t disappear so fast.
Disappointing
Beautiful art and somewhat interesting storyline but you can’t even pick any of the coined options. There’s one in every chapter and costs a ridiculous amount of coins to pick it. I wouldn’t mind paying for a few but when it’s so many of them the experience I had is ruined. I want to read more but from what I’ve read it’s not worth the hassle of continuing. Also the storyline seems to be directed towards male players no matter their sexual preference? Which is commendable but not really my cup of tea. Not sure why this is not mentioned in any reviews.
Wont let me play it after deleting account to make a new one
I deleted my account to start over and left the game plus swiped it away but when I went back on it didn’t let me back on saying Oops something went wrong! And l tried deleting it and trying again but I didn’t work is this a bug or does this always happen?

I adore the arcana, I’ve had it for years and have just managed to finally buy all of the books!!! I think it would be a really cool feature if you added a way to sell keys for coins, as I have 82 of them but can’t even use them anymore!! Plus it adds another way to collect coins for the routes, which already takes quite a bit of time! I love your work and I love this game sm 🫶🫶
Addictive game
It’s a very addictive game, the prologue is intriguing and the multiple choice of a love interest and their stories keep it interesting. I love that it’s LGBTQ supported allowing people to pick their own pronouns (including they/them) and the different genders of the love interests. I do wish there was a reward after each story? A way to gather more coins without feeling pressured to buy them. It’s taken me four days to acquire the amount of coins I need to unlock a choice through spinning the wheel and watching videos which is really annoying. I also wish I could create my character? The work of art is really beautiful and I’d love to bring the character I play as to life with the artists designs, I like that they leave that up to you’re own imagination on how you look like but it also seems cool if I could create and bring the to virtual life too. By the looks of other reviews other people have also requested a better coin system where they don’t have to wait or spend so much

Beautiful art, interesting extras and (what appears to be) a well written story - locked behind a massive paywall. I would have no problem with a small payment, or even the opportunity to unlock story options by watching an ad, but the cost of the coins required to choose the 'interesting' story choices is extremely disproportionate.

My favourite dating sim!
I love this game, it has an amazing storyline, beautiful artwork, calming and story themed music. The characters are compelling and diverse, each route gives you a different and distinct view on each character. This is a game that makes me forget how much time has passed, it’s addicting and fun, I can connect to the characters and actually enjoy the character development and actions. I love that there are options for pronouns, as a Genderfluid person it makes me feel happy that I have the choice of what I want to be referred as. I also love that you can change your name as many times as you want! I also enjoy the fact that you can choose your backstory when making a oc/sona, although some backstory is described, it’s still left up to you. I’ve seen a lot of people complain about how much the coins are to buy or that it gets annoying that you have to buy special options. But I feel like it makes it more exciting, I save up my coins and buy the chapter, it’s like a reward and it makes it all worth it! Thankyou for making this game, it brings me so much joy, especially when I’ve had a bad day! 🥹☺️

Please, give us more coins! I think it’s pretty hard to keep playing this game when we’re not motivated enough. If we don’t have the coins, we simply lose all the good content the story has to offer and in my opinion this is just unfair. I’d give more stars because the characters are astonishingly beautiful/well written and it’s such a great game. But I beg you, reconsider this.

tbh i don’t think i’ve ever played a game where i actually wanted to DATE ALL THE CHARACTERS. I think the art style is great and it’s even better that they actually ask for your gender and pronouns. usually, dating sims are targeted towards female players but i’m very happy to see a change in a game where everyone could play.

I recently downloaded this game after deleting it because I never ended up playing it, and oh Lordy I’m already drawn into every detail, and I’m already starting to develop a crush on Asra 🥺 the detail to even small conversations with people makes the huge difference and sometimes I find myself getting too eager and skipping important parts which I regret 😅 I would completely recommend this game except the only problem I have is the amount of coins choices need haha! I wish I could also go back to parts and redo my answers at the purchase points because I couldn’t pay for a decision at the time and I’m super bummed! The only thing I would ask is for the prices to lower for coins to spend in special choices ^^! Other then that I am addicted to it already and I would totally recommend it. 💕
Great story, HUGE PAYWALL
Great story and art, mini games are very fun, but to outright buy the stories the way you would an otome game, costs up to 350 to 500 coins per ‘book’ for 21 books? To unlock one whole character’s story would set the player back the max amount of coins which costs up to 160 DOLLARS. It’s just a ridiculous amount for an arbitrary paywall and detracts from what would otherwise be a great app

I love playing this game and would die for the girl dating!! I love being able to pick my pronouns and mess around. The game is fun and exiting that leaves me wanting more every time I leave!! My only ask is that if I could build my own character and have it playing out as me it would make it so much easier to play! Just saying Muriel is my huffy bub and none of you can take him!, but overall great game though i wish there would be an easier was to get coins instead of watching occasional videos and collecting 50 things for 5 coins.

I love Muriel to death. The art is fantastic, the storyline is original and interesting. I just wish it was easier to earn coins. I’d love more episodes with all of the characters even though it says their stories are finished! I can’t get enough of it 💖
A major drawback to a great game
The only reason why it isn’t perfect is the price over the paid content. It’s over reasonably expensive. Other than that the art, characters and story are very well thought-out. Great game!
