What people like
- Interface is clean and very fast
- Weather predictions are surprisingly accurate
- Covers small rural airports well
What they complain about
- App often fails to update weather data
- Restoring purchases is broken and frustrating
- Support team never responds to bugs
- NOTAMs frequently fail to load correctly
Best quick weather check
I rely on this app daily for flight prep. Fast, accurate, and simple to use.
Limit on favorites
Being able to favorite multiple airports to get a quick idea of the current weather is crucial in go no go decisions. This app for whatever reason decided to put that behind a paywall. Other apps do this for free.
Nice
A few long to refresh sometimes, need more velocity !
Can’t send a bug report
Tried to send a big report as the app will no longer let me search new airports, but the bug report doesn’t work either. Please fix
Good. Could be better
Does not always update.
Favorite pre-flight tool
Simple, clean, and fast. I use it daily before any flight.
Slowpoke weather app!!
App works very slow, not what I thought I paid for. I wouldn’t buy it again.
Needs a way to refresh the data.
I agree with others that this is a great app but it doesn't update the information provide. I usually 'kill' the app and then restart it to get new info. A ridiculous method. Swiping down for a refresh would be great.
Can’t restore
Was a good app and I enjoyed using it. I purchases the pro version 6-8 months ago, and after recent app upgrades, I’m unable to restore my purchase basically making the app useless. Searched but can’t seem to find a way to contact app developer. Seems like this is a common theme with other recent reviews.
Weather data fetch takes far too long.
I only have two airports configured, and they are both major airports in the United States (Texas). Upon app startup, a fetch of current weather data begins. That fetch usually takes several minutes to complete. At this writing, I have a fetch underway that has been running for 8 minutes. That’s far too long.
Accurate TAF forecasts
The TAF predictions have been spot on, even for smaller airports. Very reliable.
Trash don’t get
Got the pro version and it won’t let me load any new airports. Waste of money if you ask me
Best app available, could be better
Currently this is the best Weather App I have been able to find. The old Takeoff App I liked better but has been discontinued. I like how it seems to accurately present Notams. And How it presents the weather in an easy snapshot type view. What could be better. I agree with other reviewers that it should update automatically every 15 to 30 minutes with the option to update with a swipe down for most current weather. It is hard to tell if weather is old because app hasn’t updated or because weather data hasn’t been updated, so I end up updating the app to get the same weather already being reported. Even just an indication of how long it has been since the app has updated would help. Decoded Area Forecasts are hard to read because it is difficult to tell if times are Local time or Zulu times. Would be much easier to read if Local times were shown. Brian CFI
Not very useful
Not particularly useful unless you buy the upgrade which make the free app pointless! I won’t be keeping it!
Не обновляется
Было все ок, но больше не обновляется. Даёт информацию очень древнюю, актуальную недели назад
Instant METAR lookup
I can pull up airport conditions in seconds. Clean interface, no delay.
Slow updates
I’ve used several different metar/ Asos sites. This is by far the slowest to update for new data. Sometimes doesn’t even update. Definitely find a new one that’s faster.
Ok
It would be nice if there was someway you could sort your airports
Very limited
Free version limits me to one airport
Refresh
I can’t get it to refresh, so have to close the app and restart. Need to be careful if app is just minimized and reopened. Old data is bad data for flying.
Quick station search
I typed in a small field’s code and got its METAR instantly. Didn’t expect it to have that kind of coverage for rural strips.
Upgrade-seems backwards
The upgrade limits the number of airports I can get data from
Не обновляется погода
Повис метар на сутки подвела прога удаляю
Worked amazing now doesnt work
Got the pro version, very useful to see local airports weather etc, been using it for almost a year. Hadn’t used for a couple weeks and now it hasnt updated anything for at least a week. The app no longer gets METAR updates. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the app with no luck.
METAR/TAF data is not updated
User should not have to manually swipe to update METAR data. It should update hourly when the app is in use. Free version is limited to one saved reporting station so no issue with draining battery as developer brought up in response to other similar reviews.
Good
Good
Broken
Update: developer fixed the bug to restore purchase but still can’t view full metar or taf. Was great. Bought the pro version. Now after updating can’t restore my purchase. Can’t view full metar, cant view taf.
Very nice app
Every thing works good except when I go to the airport menu I can’t tap on another airport or it will just show me some weird things not the metar/taf
Glitch
Everytime I select yqm ex it displays yyc🤷🏼♂️
Seems nice but can you add KEKX Elizabethtown, KY to the options
Can you please add Elizabethtown, KY KEKX to the list of available airport options?
They fixed it!
Edit: They fixed the app! Thank you for actually listening! I purchased this app a few years ago. Since the update I have lost my purchase. I have tried multiple times to restore the purchase but it won’t work. Avoid this app until it’s fixed or it’s just a money grab.
Buyer beware
Liked the format overall. However, the second I purchased it, the favorites option would not let me store more than one airport. That was the whole point in making the purchase……to save more than one favorite airport.
Application stopped working
Good day, I’ve purchased the pro version that was working good for two months now. But since yesterday I receive no information regarding the airports. I can’t find any way to get the app work properly again. I have deleted the app and restored the purchase with same issue Update a week later: nobody came to sort that problem out Update 5 days later: the new software is working fine now! Update : more than once, after the update the app crashes! Thanks for the following up
Lots of issues
Was looking for a good weather app. There are several bugs and lots of issues that make me not want to use it. I would buy the full version if it wasn’t for the issues. Unfortunately the issues make it unusable.
Additons
So far I liked the app enough to purchase it. Anyway you could add a couple of IFR airports for me? KCBK KGLD
Easy Aviation pro
I just purchased the easy Aviation pro app. It is not working and I can find no where to get Support to help solve the problem.
Нужен фикс
Программа хорошая, нежалко купить полную версию. Вот только проблема с загрузкой notams есть. Постоянно пишет, что Notams not available. Приходится выходить из приложения и заново заходить, для отображения нотам
What NOTAMs?
NOTAMs not working at all, won’t display any no matter what airport I select and other NOTAM sources clearly show that there are active NOTAMs.
Craig Prescott
Very intuitive, easy to use, fast!
Bad app
Not very easy to get around. Only 1 airport time to delete and get another FAA weather app.
Decent, but drops some info from the TAF
Not bad, but has too many commercials in order to see airport weather and will often leave out visibility from the forecast.
Like this app
I really like this app but airport information doesn’t seem to get updated. The magnetic headings of my local airport changed years ago but the app still has the old runway numbers. That’s why I only gave it four stars.
Airports missing
KX06 not there , should be there!even just for the. NOTAMS Many airports missing
