App fixed
Back to being great
App no longer works
App no longer works after updating. I’ve had this app for years and it was a great resource for quick weather updates
Fast
This is the fastest way to get METAR and TAF info for saves airports.
Can’t find smaller airports around DFW
Disappointed, can’t find KJWY and other small airports around Dallas area.
Don’t Size
I like the app but cannot zoom or change the font size. I find it hard to read.
Old pilot learning
This app help you understand how to read and have in high consideration the weather at taking off SO IMPORTANT to avoid accidents due to wind, gust, ice, Remember you have the option of take off but if you do, You will land, yes or yes
What happened?
Suddenly, the app stopped displaying METAR AND TAF information.
Just stopped working
Not working won’t let you close ads
Ads won’t remove
Three times now ads have comeback even though I pay to remove them. Developer is a sociopath.
Text Too Small
After using AirWX for over 10 years, I had to find a new app when it stopped working. This app looks good, but I simply cannot see it without reading glasses or a magnifying glass. No way to zoom in, either. I guess I will keep looking.
Aviation weather
Nice app
Too many ads
The free version of this app used to be very nice and useful. But it is now totally useless as ads pop up more frequently than information, and ads can not be easily closed. I’d say don’t bother at all with the free version.
Useage
I use it recreationally but my sister flew into Tampa for Thanksgiving and back. I used it to monitor her flights. Good job.
Too small
Like the format however, the type is too small and I can’t figure out how to enlarge it.
Uninstalling
It’s tough to find a good free aviation weather app. This one is decent, but I’m uninstalling for two reasons. First, generates a LOT of notifications and I can’t find a way to pick what I want without subscribing. Second, the font is a bit small for senior pilots.
Now it works again 😃 I love this app
I loved it before but it quit working until the last 5.84 update
Latest update needs work
This app has been super useful to me but for some reason even though it knows I paid for the premium features, it won’t let me use them. I’ve tried clicking the restore purchase button and it acknowledges it, but I still can’t change text size or anything. I would gladly update to five stars once this is fixed.
Great app. Recent issues
Metar info no longer updating when refreshing. Have to close out of app and reopen to get current info.
Needs some updates for sure
It’s work in progress. The map is glitchy when I tap between icao’s. I wish they would auto show the raw obs on the map and or color code each depending on if they are IFR or VFR. For the region function I wish there was a search bar. Can I not change the order of my star locations? I wish I could see raw data there as well without having to click on each location and then backing out. Hopefully this helps.
Update: Horrible pop up ad frequency corrected
I downloaded this app to see if it was worth while. I was able to zoom in to my home airport and as soon as I hit the weather button I had a constant barrage of ads. One after another, one would pop up hang out for less than a second then close only to be replaced by another one. This cycle continued until I closed the app. I deleted the app when I closed it. Update: The developer corrected the ad pop up issue. I can actually see the information that it’s supposed to show. The occasional ad does pop up and does cover the screeen but it’s quickly skipped by pressing on the screen somewhere other than the ad. The only other flaw that I see now is the lack of all the airports.
Working as it should
The developer of this useful app kept responding to my complaints that the app was no longer working by telling me to upgrade to a particular version of the app. However, no version number could be found in the app nor in the App Store. Then suddenly the App Store changed the download from the Cloud symbol to the word “upgrade” and that download worked. It is clear that getting the necessary upgrade installed in the App Store was the issue. That done, the app works well again. I’ve used for years and find it very useful.
Not happy
Great app, but can't enjoy it because I can't even SEE it! Covered with ads so badly that I can't even get to it. I'm done with it.
Cool app
I wish you could pull up more that one observation and TAF at a time.
No value
You can get all the necessary information in so many other apps that are free. Not to mention, my class Delta airport isn’t even supported.
Looks Good
I just installed and looks good so far but kind of very annoying to continue seeing adds even after getting premium version. Why can’t add be removed when one gets premium version. I don’t see my self using this app for long. Will probably find a different one I can subscribe to premium and not have adds popping up.
Can’t get info on this app anymore
No option to update app, it stopped showing wx info about 2 weeks ago….
Nice app but the ads are non stop
Great info but reading a TAF I had 3 ads pop up in under 2 minutes
Easy to read
I love it. The font is large, it’s easy to navigate. As a professional pilot I use it as one of my weather tools.
Quite a shame
I need my home airport’s METAR, but KVUO isn’t listed. KPDX might seem like it’s close enough due to proximity, but the river results is conditions different enough that I need KVUO.
Serious problem with the App Store page
Charge your phone goddam
A Good App
This a good app for quickly checking the weather (METARs & TAFs) for a desired airport.
Ads with premium subscription
Apparently if you purchase the premium subscription, you STILL get ads In order to not get ads you need to purchase BOTH subscriptions App is essentially unusable with the extremely intrusive ads This was confirmed in email correspondence with the developer Will find another solution This feels VERY misleading
Looks great!
Just downloaded this app. I like the text size (I’m an old guy!) makes reading easy! Only downside is that I can’t seem to be able to sort the favorites list...
Worthless without in app purchases
Nothing really works in the app without subscriptions. Not anxious to find out if anything works with subscriptions.
WAAYto Many Ads in Free Version
The title says everything.
Love it it’s a good app
This is one of the best aviation weather apps to date!
Used to be good, but not any longer
I’ve used this app for several years and really liked it, but recently someone thought it would be a good idea to have giant pop up ads that block out most of your screen pop up about every 30-60 seconds. These huge ads pretty much render the app useless. After dealing with these things the past few days, I finally gave up and deleted the app. It was good while it lasted.
NOAA Live Sky Weather
Grazie e buon lavoro!
Deleting this app right now.
The constant pop up ads are incredibly annoying. They want 12 bucks a year to get info that is free from a lot of other sources.
Excellent app, exceptionally annoying ads
The constant barrage of advertisements made me uninstall this excellent app. The app constantly pops up an advertisement every few seconds making it difficult to read and interpret the weather data it presents. An excellent example of the anti-pattern of how to integrate advertising into your application. If the author was more respectful of the user, this would clearly be a 5 star app for what it provides. The obtrusive nature while using the free version turned me off from paying or subscribing to this app ( which I would have done, if the developer was not rail-roading users into disabling the ads. ).
Really Useful
As someone getting their PPL, I find it really helpful to observe meteorological conditions and then see what those relate to in my local airport's METar. I anticipate making use of these reports in my pilot career.
Much better apps available
Ads every 10 seconds. Useless. If I’m gonna pay I’ll pay for the better apps and not this piece of crap. Can’t really even evaluate the app without a ton of ads popping up. Annoying to say the least especially when your in the middle of reading a METAR and the ads just keep popping up. Yeah, it’s worthless
Free Version Unusable
The free version is unusable due to constant ads popping up. I can’t even evaluate the app to know if I want to purchase a subscription.
It is good, but too many advertisements
It really annoys me when I am trying to see the weather information and suddenly the advertisements !!
Great app for pilots
As a student pilot I love the notifications of weather updates in my area. Helps give a general idea on how to plan your day and flight. Very useful.
To many ads, not enough aerodromes or incorrect airport identifiers
Deleting app. This app does not offer enough airfields. Additionally the primary airfield I operate from, KNDZ Whiting Field, FL is not offered to see the METAR. Additionally when you search for the KNDZ ICAO identifier it shows some other airport! I got it, it’s free so it will have apps. However when the ad pops up in the middle of your screen randomly, and you have to tap off screen to make it go away, that is a safety of flight issue and annoying! Not sure how this app has almost 5 stars.
Too many ads
Free version has so many ads the app is almost unusable
URRP(PLATOV)Rostov-on-Don
URRR - is closed. New airport - URRP. FIX BUG PLEASE.
