Amuse Review
Amuse is probably one of the best music disruptions you can use. All you have to do is follow the instructions when making a release. Like make sure the art cover is exactly what you named the album, let it know if its anything extra, and dont release copyrighted songs. Other than that, your releases stay live forever. They just take royalties from your albums worth.

Dont bother
Amuse used to be really good a few years ago. im not sure what happened, but the quality of service has dropped astronomically. My last 4 or 5 music releases were either released incorrectly, or not at all until I brought it up to them. Customer support is an unhelpful ai chatbot until you email them. then you will have a good two weeks of back and forth with multiple people at amuse named Ava, Fiona, and Emma who none of which could help. they are not interested in helping independent artist or fixing THEIR mistakes and they will beat around the bush for weeks. ii do not recommend. do your research on distro services. they are greedy, money-hungry, & unhelpful. they will probably reply to this with a very vague response that makes me look dumb and them look better. that's to be expected. dont waste your time or money. They are not looking to help your art, just taking money
Good but
I’ve used Amuse for years but, I switched last year to DistroKid because uploading a new album and distributing it takes too much time in comparison, I also HATE the black and yellow GUI, it’s so early 2010s and dull. They should take a cue from DistroKid and bring back some light and color. Or give us the option to switch between day and night modes. Also, 7 bucks a month premium subscription isn’t bad, but DistroKid still gets your music out quicker. Uploading also needs to be made easier. Other than that, pretty solid app.

I found this app great and since I have only made 2 songs and posted them amuse gave them to around 3@ stores each and £22 a year for an artist is a steal but please make it so that there can be stops in the song like when I was doing a song it needed to be fixed because there was gaps where I duplicated it but overall this app is underrated and thanks for giving me a topic channel and can you please make the moderation to check the song review so it takes a little less time and anyways this app is great and I definitely recommend it and it is worth the money
Why I Hate Amuse
I hate this app even more now. I just keeps glitching for no reason. The “Next Button” just keeps on loading, and getting greyed out 24/7.

Been using these guys for years. I stopped about a year ago because they started charging for collaborator accounts. Otherwise support is solid and responsive. Only other issue is that I get an error now for months when trying to withdraw my money on the app. Only works on the website.

Unusable, poorly designed app.😕
this app, after paying 30 dollars, will reject your music and freeze your account via a bot. its really disappointing, as it was recommended to me as a good app but instead it like you wasted 48 hours of your life, and to add insult to injury, it also took my money and and pretended that we didn't exist and i had to go to apple to refund it. very poorly designed, and would prefer any other distributor to this one, if you can call it that.

It was pretty good but now you can’t release music without paying for an upgrade which is a shame.
Caution to artists
Amuse is great for releasing music, as long as it has ZERO ai input associated with your music creativity and as long as you do not create compilation albums, as their service cannot categorize already released material, even if they are the company that releases it. So if you have a bunch of studio albums and want to make a collection, the album will appear in the “albums” category on streaming sites instead of the “compilation” section. Distrokid provides both of these options, and Amuse used to be able to move albums into proper categories, but apparently cannot do so any longer.
Good app that constantly kicks you out of your account
The app is great when it doesn’t bug out I get kicked out of my account weekly and have to jump through 30 different a hoops to get back into my account just for the verification code process to not want to work at all so I am locked out for a period amount of time because it doesn’t wanna copy all of the numbers FOR GODS SAKE PLZ just let me type the numbers in it’s extremely frustrating considering the long process of getting things made and posted for songs I’m just tryna check numbers but I can’t do that because I can’t get into my account because it won’t do the verification function

These people will permanently ban you and they will never explain why. They will freeze your account and you can’t get your royalties. They will flag your singles and albums unfairly
Great app, horrible customer support
The app itself is very simple and easy to use, I’ve used it from the beginning and literally but up my career w this app. However, their customer support is the only reason this is not a 5. I can’t even begin to describe how incapable a lot of them are and how passive aggressive. There was an instance where I had to send the same email 5 times in different wording for them to understand, when I asked if there’s anyway to do phone support they immediately said no , any superiors to speak to? No. Get new staff, make it easier for customer support eg phone calls with actual English speaking staff and this will be the best service.
IOS app error
Trying to sign up and it keeps giving the same user creation error. I’d love to be able to access so I can post my music but app won’t work.

Amazing I was aliitle but upset as I had a year pro account and my account got locked so lost a years worth of releases and had my rolyotes stolen but fast and efficient services and communication as been great since ! Great for getting releases out there

I had to upgrade for the 3rd year in a row cause these guys can’t quite decide what a subscription is. They love to take away features you payed for in the middle of the year, their agents LIE on the dime, and they purposefully have glitches in the app they CHOOSE not to fix that WILL inevitably screw over your release day. And you’re probably thinking “where’s the support” and that’s what I’m wondering too! And don’t tell me to text your ai robot bs, I want a real human to talk to about the problems YOUR humans make! So please amuse. Try and set your record straight and maybe use the millions you make every year on idk ACTUAL PEOPLE FOR SUPPORT??

This is a very good app to publish your music! It’s free to make albums, EPs, and much more! It is so good! The only problem is that I can’t select a genre to be Instrumental. But that doesn’t really matter considering the fact that you can upload music for FREE! F R E E! If you want to get exclusive perks such as a custom release date, then you have to pay. But it is worth it! Even if you don’t want to pay, you still get all of the essential needs to upload music for free! I suggest that you totally use this is you want to upload your music! :D
Pointless now
They used to offer free uploads as a main feature however they have since started charging like everyone else. Then conveniently there is a “problem” with my uploads and the only way to fix it is to subscribe and upload my tracks again? Seems very suspicious, I don’t have time for that and yet again it is just a disappointment.

Customer sucks they’ve took down 2 albums and told me I had to upload it again ever time I try to upload the albums again they deny it immediately telling me it doesn’t match the previous release id when I can’t ever add there I’ll tolerate and platform before i continue to deal with the nonsense and the customer service takes weeks to respond

Account frozen and due to be terminated
So, I have been trying to understand what I need to do for my debut song to be released. I have put others out and I have been told there is a sampling license that they want me to have for frank Sinatra’s fly me to the moon. I do not have any way to get this and I am unsure as to why I would need it, the beat itself sounds slightly similar, the vocal sample has been changed at the start to sound different. Though now my current releases and account are due to be taken down, as a new artist who is independent, I would’ve appreciated a bit more guidance as to what the issue is as this is completely unclear as to why the song can’t come out here, doesn’t get any copyright strikes else but amuse won’t put it out. Now I have to find a new distribution service and lost my yearly pro membership I’ve had for 2-3 months.

Used to be so good
This was perfect until they restricted the free subscription. Used to be 5 stars. I’m not gonna pay £45 for what used to be free.
Unreliable
The insights/analytics page (where it shows stream count, etc.) goes offline for weeks at a time. Sometimes album submission confirmations show up as “confirmed” on the ap and “denied” on email simultaneously. And if you’re on the free plan, customer support takes about a month. Better off going elsewhere if you want reliability 😊
