Really great!!!
This app is honestly sooo convenient and well thought out. This app is really helpful especially when it is with couples. Super highly recommended!!
Useless
Quit syncing after a month or so of use. As others have mentioned, support is nonexistent. Don’t waste your time.
Bulk change expense category
I desperately need a function that can bulk change expense category
Transactions
App needs to allow check box for all transactions and not just last 30 days
Too many glitches
When splitting categories it keeps reverting back to original category. Can’t edit comments. Customer service doesn’t respond to emails for help.
Free and generally works
It’s free and the bugs aren’t dealbreakers. Would be nice to have some quicker UI for sorting transactions into categories. The automated guessing is alright.
Constant Bank Sync Issues
This app would be great if the connection to the bank didn’t fail every few days. You constantly need to check if your accounts are synced. If it breaks, sometime the re-sync option works. Other times you need to reconnect from scratch, which is also hit or miss. None of these options are explained anywhere so figuring out where to look and which wires to jiggle is a pain. In-app customer support is an email link that is a black hole with no response. Happy to talk to a dev or customer service rep if the app team has any questions.
Super helpful, could have a few fixes
This app has been super helpful for splitting expenses since my partner and I moved in together. One frustrating issue I have is I can’t figure out how to see what my total expenses have been for the month (aka my individual expenses + our split joint expenses). I can only see the total I have spent from my bank accounts (before splitting any expenses). Or the total my partner and I have spent (which includes all expenses including our personal ones). Another thing that would make it more user friendly is if you could swipe to split an expense, and if you could tap on an expense to easily change the category!
Great App! But I Can’t Get Support.
I really want to continue using Honeydue because I believe it has the features we need. Unfortunately, I’m locked out of my account because my two-factor authentication is tied to an old phone number that I no longer have access to. I’ve contacted support multiple times requesting help updating my authentication information but haven’t received a response. As a result, I can’t access my account at all. I’m not writing this because I dislike the app — I actually want to use it. I’m simply asking the Honeydue support team to respond and help me regain access to my account. If someone from Honeydue sees this, please reach out or respond to my support request. I’d really appreciate the assistance.
No Browser
I like the app and idea of having a pkaces to text each other about bills so its all in one place but really wish you can access it on a computer. Which would be great when doing initial setup or working on categories etc… but until that happensI will have to continue using rocketmoney.
Excellent tool for finaces
Totally recommend anyone to keep track of finances
Always loses sync
Awful finance app. Only maintain sync with accounts for a week or two and then refuses to update. Truly useless, do not download.
Bilt
Will Bilt ever be added to plaid on your system??
No division
Apparently, if you break up with your significant other, the app has no way to separate you, and they could easily have access to view your bills unless you manually change it for each bill. Even when I asked for assistance, they said it’s not possible to separate that other person from the account.
The bank balance are always wrong
Even after refreshing still shows the wrong number
Amazing free finance tracking for Couples
This app is amazing, simple, a little clunky but the value and tools it provides is the basis for being mindful about spending. Alerts aren’t as quick, transactions don’t update rapid fast. But it works well and the ability to comment and react to individual transactions makes a chore fun for both of us.
No support
I really liked this app and used it all the time but it suddenly stopped being able to refresh my account a month ago. I tried emailing support twice and got no reply. I’ll update my review if they ever end up fixing it! (Update: still no reply. Do not trust this app with your bank details because clearly they do not care. Deleting this app now .)
Best couples finance app I've found
This app is the best for financial visibility among multiple accounts owned by different people. My only issue is that the app support has been nonexistent. I've emailed app support multiple times with questions and minor issues and haven't received a single response.
Broken & Missing Transactions
Honeydue is nice for couples who have different operating systems (iPhone vs Android). However, this application has always been buggy and very rigid. Most recently, I have not been able to view my September 2025 and November 2025 Transactions. I click on the month and the app displays Oct or Dec ‘25. Because of this I missed large purchases that should have been split. As well, I have noticed that over time sometimes the split icon will not display on past/older transactions, causing my partner to double charge me for past transactions. I used to like the app when first using it, but now it has caused more issues than it is worth.
Calendar Option
It is great free app, I just wish the calendar could align with pay days instead of Sunday - Saturday. So like Thursday - Wednesday or Friday - Thursday. It helps budgeting be more realistic and less likely to miss something.
So easy
My husband and I have used this for years and genuinely love using it.
Used to be okay
No one appears to be maintaining this app anymore. Articles in the feed are years old and most recent update was 6 months ago. It’s too bad because I liked the concept. I’m too lazy to build this myself but it could be done by someone who wants to. It appears this developer feels the same way as me.
Nice but needs a few improvements.
This is a nice option for couples who need an app to track finances. I like the app but when entering purchases they’re not in order. They go into a random order which isn’t helpful when tracking with two people. Also I wish there was an option for pending charges. The bill section is a very nice feature. I like it alot but the other issues have caused me to look for another app.
Poor integration quality: constant desync friction
The app crates a lot of friction due to banks constantly getting desynchronized with useless message “email us” appearing (I tried to email - no response), you have to remove affected banks every month or so and add them back, resetting all tx retagging you have done
Barely Sufficient
Chose HoneyDue because of the ability to combine financial accounts with my partner into one app. The app has much to be desired. The auto-categorization is terrible, reports are basic, there is no month over month or Trent view. No way to export for deeper analysis in other apps. It’s not very smart overall which requires you to make a lot of manual updates. Wish there was a better option out there.
Good app but…
If you can get your bank connected it’s good. Don’t even try to email or reach out to customer support. They’re not there and won’t reply to anything. Budgeting, transactions, and categorization is really good. This app is superior to many others I’ve tried since mint went out the door but they don’t update or fix bugs and no customer service.
Customer Service is Poor
I have been trying to deactivate my account for the past month now! I have decided to not use the app because it does not fit my needs, but there is no way to do that in the app and I have not been able to do so through email. I don’t know if I need to call or if there is a number to call but I’m not happy knowing my sensitive info is just sitting there and I don’t even use the app. I would like for this issue to be resolved please.
Export
Would like to be to export so we could do comparisons in a spreadsheet for year-to-year comparisons. Love the program - we can work on household bills together.
Poor Customer Service
The app seems great, but I can’t use it properly. Every time I try to link my bank account, an error message pops up and tells me to email support. I’ve emailed them twice with no response. My only remaining option is to delete this app and find something different.
Keep up the good work!
Enjoy working with this app and sharing with spouse. Would like to see this in Microsoft App Store and Mac as well.
Stopped updating, no response
The app worked really well the first 3 months or so, now it’s stopped updating accounts with no info or explanation. Multiple notes sent to support with no answer. Great job 😐
Love except two things
My husband and I love this app. Very straight forward, easy to customize and share, but two things. 1) Our daughter has one of our cards. We want to teach her how to budget, but we want to oversight. Please let us connect our account to more than one user name so she’s not seeing all our other finances but can her our card and her bank solely on her view. 2) occasionally I have to remove an account to refresh the bank connection, each time forgetting that it DELETES EVERYTHING, and I lose all my categorization and notes from all previous months. HOURS AND HOURS of my life lost. Please correct it so that it only loses information from time of disconnection! I’ve spent so much time just having to go back and review last month because we moved and had alot of expenses and I’ll need all that info but UGHHHH. Otherwise love. So much better than YNAB and free, thank you!
Nice concept, questionable execution
The concept for this app is solid. However, no matter how many consecutive months you move your phone bill from 'groceries' to 'utilities', it never learns and keeps miss-sorting which is annoying when 90% of your transactions are the same 30 businesses like the same exact grocery store and same exact gas station. Also it seems like they tried to make the sorting "smarter" on a recent update but it's way worse now, thinks my paycheck is a bank to bank transfer among other things and cannot be convinced otherwise. Also for the last 1-2 months totally random transactions have not been showing up. I realize you get what you pay for with a free app but jeez.
The best
This truly is the best budgeting app, thank you!!
Horrible for consistency
At first saw this app as a great solution as a couple looking to split expenses across multiple types of accounts. However it’s consistently broken where it cannot connect to bank, asks you to send them an email and nothing is ever fixed or confirmed. Then you read your account and same thing, it isn’t a reliable app, but has potential
Suggestion
I have used this app for a few years. There should be a way to update the amount of a bill going forward versus all the historic amounts. This does not show a true past budget. Also, the only way to end a bill is to delete it. Once again, that skews historic budgets. If you would make these changes on a future update, I feel like it would be helpful to everyone that uses the app.
Amazing Free App
Former Mint user who moved to Quicken Simplifi which was amazing, however it got a lot more expensive and had some connectivity issues so I decided to try this and was amazed by how I could do all the same customizations with this app and get almost sll the same features. I hope in the future the following is added: 1- ability to connect to Amazon store card 2- ability to refresh all accounts at once 3- Option to reflect pending transactions in account balances. Thank you for this amazing app.
Abandoned
Good luck if anything goes wrong. No one answers their support emails. It’s just a black hole.
The best for free ( I tried a lot of apps) this one is amazing!
I have testing several budget app and this one for free absolute best recommend
Transaction data issues and no response from support
I’ve experienced consistent issues with the data not updating for a few days and some transactions missing. Also I’ve reached out several times over the past 2 weeks and have never got a response. Issues ongoing with an account haven’t refreshed in 2 months despite multiple emails.
