Finally exploring my own doorstep
Been using this to find local walks and it's genuinely brilliant. The routes feel tried and tested rather than algorithmically cobbled together. Someone's actually walked them and bothered to share them, which makes a real difference when you're navigating somewhere new. The points of interest are what keep me coming back. I've walked past the same spots for years and had no idea what I was missing. Ancient woodland, hidden viewpoints, bits of local history — it adds a layer to a walk that makes it feel worthwhile rather than just exercise. Couldn't recommend it more if you want to get outside but have run out of ideas. There's more on your doorstep than you think.
New charges are so insulting
I use this app all the time but they’re now charging you if you want a walk route longer than 4km???? It’s incredibly insulting
Like it but not love; needs an apple watch app
To avoid getting lost, I have to constantly check my phone. Voice directions are definitely required, particularly an app for the Apple Watch. In addition, I now have to carry a power bank. Like it, but on the verge of loving it.
Loved for years - disappointed with new update
I’ve been using Go Jauntly for years now and really loved it - especially for planning a route or going on a round trip. I have just gone on it to plan a long walk and discovered that they’ve made the round trip feature a premium feature above 3 miles. I’m really disappointed with this change because it means that I won’t be using Go Jauntly to plan any routes round where I live as I know my area well enough to not need a device to tell me what a 3 mile walk is. Unfortunately I will be getting rid of the app and will try other route planning methods.
Please make reversible routes
TFL seem to have given Go Jauntly the deal on mapping the Capital Ring, a great walk. But the route is only provided in one direction, not so great.
Life changing
This app is so easy to use and so incredibly helpful in finding simple routes from my home - and I love the challenges, so motivating.

Really good app
This is a really good app even if you have the free version! However I’m only giving 4 stars because it would be good if it linked with your Apple Watch which it doesn’t currently do
Disappointed
The app features many local walks, from shorter to longer hikes. I decided to give it a try on a longer - over 1hr - walk, but I found it difficult and not very helpful. After you press go, there is no navigation, you have to walk either holding your phone and looking at the screen to watch the blue door moving or just keep checking it every few steps, which in my opinion defeats the purpose. I didn’t go to a woodland to look at the screen. Secondly, somewhere in the middle accidentally I closed the the route and couldn’t find it, there is no history and it wouldn’t show me that route even when I searched for nearest walks. Strangely though, the walk was more enjoyable without this app and phone in my hand. I will be uninstalling.
Add option to randomise circular walks
Please add option to randomise circular walks e.g., If I select X mile route, it always/ every day shows me exact same route. It would be nicer if we could get a new route offered either via adittional “Randomisation”, “Refresh” buttons ot maybe even a toggle for users who would want that behaviour by default.

Fails in many ways
I used the app. I had to constantly look at the phone. There is no voice announcements there is also nothing on the Apple Watch. It doesn’t even make use of Apples live activities on your Lock Screen. All these ways would allow a pleasant walk. Looking at the unlocked home for the whole trip doesn’t work! On top of that after 53 minutes of the recommended walk I was met by a brick wall. Literally! There was no access to the path it said and I had to walk a long way back and make my own route. Feedback from the developer is all understandable - “we are a small team” etc etc. Unfortunately the fact is the app is useless in its current state. No on can or wants to walk around holding there unlocked phone for the whole walk. App shouldn’t of gone to the App Store and started taking peoples money until it was at a better stage.
First Walk
On the whole a good walk, although the first bit was slightly confusing due to locked gates. We found our way but only because we had a reasonable knowledge of the area.
Good if the first route it creates is good.
You can make the app regenerate a new route if the one it creates it’s suitable. I live near a main road and also completely empty countryside with many bridleways and public footpaths. The app always uses the main road for routes and I can’t make it use public footpaths, bridleways or quiet roads. This makes the app near-useless as you only get one chance to make a route, whether it’s safe or not.
Route instructions a bit vague
Used this for the first time this weekend. Don’t see anything that would inspire me pay for it, certainly not the price being asked. Scant content for many areas, given this is not a new app and many of the walks are supplied by third parties like TFL for free.
Feedback fiend
I get so much pleasure seeing my Fitbit steps turn into kilometres turn into Go Jauntly badges and stars!
Twenty quid for ONE walk!
Wanted to do ONE single charity walk near me, and was told the charity organisers won’t give out the route, the only way to find out the route is to download this app. The app costs TWENTY POUNDS FOR ONE WALK. Twenty quid for an app I was going to use one single time then delete and never use again (I am not a walker so I have no need for this app). I don’t understand why they can’t give people say the first three walks for free, then start charging based on how many walks you use. It’s honestly so gross to charge people who are raising money for charity access to the thing they need to do the fundraiser. The people who made this app have nothing to do with the charity who created the route map so why are they allowed to financially profit from it?
I like the app but…
I really like this app, the fact I can put in my starting point and distance and whether I was an A to B walk or circular is brilliant. I would really like to be able to filter the walks in map view. I need wheelchair accessible (step free) routes. The ones that are in the section for step free are all really short jaunts. Some days I would like a longer walk. Another useful filter could be distance. Other filters may be great for other users.
Good app that cold be so much better
I paid for an annual subscription as I found the app useful for suggesting walks. But imho it needs features to be added to allow: reversing the route, printing the route - not everybody wants to get their phone out in remote locations.
Walks need updating
I love the app but both myself and my son have done a couple of the longer local walks only to end up at a dead end and had to turn back. A couple of walks have also sent us into undergrowth which simply wasn’t passable.

This is exactly what I needed to get me out and about. The walks are great, the photos are brilliant. Everything you need to get you out and walking all in one place 🤩
Great. If you live in London
If not well you’re stuck with a meagre selection. Unfortunately apps like this are more focused with the capital than the rest of the UK.
Prague captured in amazing walks
I am amazed that the app captures interesting part of Prague and every historical part, information and point of interest that will suite everyone and anyone. I have done the walks many times, my travels has brought me to Czech Republic 🇨🇿 every year in the past 9yrs since 2013. I highly recommend this app for anyone trying to explore Prague and other places 👌🏾
Can't use it 😔
I was looking for something like the amble anywhere feature: Suggestions for a 3 km circular walk from my position. But it doesn't work in Sweden.
Few Hiccups.
Phone screen keeps going blank - Frequently Needed to Re centre . Otherwise okay.
Great app
Absolutely love this app. Currently doing GM ringway and love that the app has pictures so you know if you are going wrong. Just upgraded to premium because I use it so much. I like generating my own walks as well, that is a great feature. Cannot say anything bad about this app, if you like getting out and about and exploring new places then this is the app for you. I combine it with doing a little geocaching as well.
Location problem
There is no pop-up to allow location services and you cannot manually allow it in settings so I cannot actually use the app. Please fix.
Limited Content on Free Version
The free version gives you suggestions of a few local walks which in my case were literally things like just walking 15 mins down a main road on the route I take to get to my local supermarket, or walking up a slightly bigger main road that would take me 45 mins. Nothing interesting or innovative at all.
Subscription
How do l stop my subscription, it also seems lv paid for my set up on my iPad, as well as my phone. Can not l account work on both.
Streets of London
This is my favourite walking app and I have lots! It’s the only one that lets me find a green route away from pollution. I’ve discovered dozens of new routes and can now identify every tree in London - thanks to this brilliant app.
RUBBISH
Won’t let me click ‘allow’ so I can see walks nearby. Huge bug in the application which they have failed to pick up. Jokers.
Could be good
This app actually takes you on foot paths that are private farm tracks that you are not allowed on. It also misses out established foot paths that you are allowed on which could make a circular walk instead it bypasses these and you them have to come back the way you went. Needs some more in depth research on paths, tracks and private property, just because there’s a dotted line on a map, doesn’t mean you are actually permitted to use it.

I enjoy this app, for its simplicity. A great method of recording steps. And the feedback is positive.
Very few walks
Only 4 walks 100mile around my location. No use for me.
Confusing!!
The start and the end of the walk correlate but there is a whole section in the middle that makes no sense and ended with us scrambling over walls. We ended up ignoring the directions and going with an ordinance survey map
A great guide for any distance of pleasurable runs
First time user. Precise, bug free, easy to follow and a real gem of new running/walking routes.

No walks on the app for Ireland, what's the point? Do not download, total disappointment.
Frustrating App to Use
I had intended to cancel this before renewal but missed it do thought I’d have another go. Big mistake. Walks fail to download or even open when needed. And the cherry on the cake? Feedback fails to be submitted with error message asking you to try again later. This App is proving to be a waste of money and I will not be renewing it again - there must be better out there and I’ve got nearly a year to find out. I’ve given it 2 stars because the idea is good just a pity the execution us so poor.
Brilliant - Perfect for Wanderers
Great walking app that opens up your surrounding area suggesting routes to explore. Very handy to have when travelling as well, and can’t wait to explore more of UK with the help of this app. If you love walking and exploring this is the app for you. Would love to see Apple Watch integration at some stage which would make it more than perfect. Happy Wandering!
