App ruined by update
I have used this app for several years. The requirements now to sign off rounds before seeing distance stats for each club has ruined the app. Furthermore signing rounds is clunky and tiresome. Please go back to the old format where I can see club distance stats without all this with that does not interest me.
Great App .. Watch Apple feature feels very lacking
Been using the app with RF tags for about 2 years now. Really like the functionality and data feedback you get. Was really looking forward to the Apple Watch functionality and having finished my first trial round with I was looking forward to seeing how it uploaded onto the App. Needless to say I was pretty disappointed with incorrect and inconsistent data being uploaded. I had to edit each hole due to incorrect club being displayed, shots displayed wildly inaccurately.. I gave up editing all the mistakes after a couple of holes. The other two rounds weren’t any better and also had to deal with the watch skipping a couple of holes, randomly going back to the watch face screen. On the upside, loved the displays, much preferable vs getting my phone out of my pocket to check distances. All in all .. still a great App but the Apple Watch functionality is definitely lacking and (as it stands) wouldn’t pay for it.
Junk
Extreme hassle to use,
Testing - good but room for improvement - Apple Watch.
First the test trial rounds are based on 18holes which means 2-nine holes, but it doesn’t do that. One you try to test it, to see the interface, it will force you to use a trial round. Also the app continues to running even after you’ve upload the results. Because of this I could not to log a full round. While it picks the swings, sometimes you don’t know if you already entered the clubs. Apple Watch should at least be in sync with iPhone It should be in sync with iPhone app. Should also have the option to use the sensors. Sometimes the clubs it gives you aren’t the clubs you want to use, it’s always recommending the club, so you could enter the wrong club. The ability to export data is useful. I want to like it, but lacks some features and want to golf a couple more rounds to give it a fair test.
Great monitoring tool
I’ve been using the Shotscope watch for a few months. Used along with the club tags it’s a great tool for monitoring your performance. It has helped me with my club selection based on my average shot distance. The support is excellent, with recent changes to a local course updated when I raised with Shotscope.
App scoring issue
Each time I update a round after downloading the app freezes and I have to do it all again.
New version not very useful; issue resolved
The fix was to add the LM1 device to the app and now it works again. Can I have the previous version back so I can download rounds off the X5 watch. New version has eliminated that ability

App has started to freeze when its first opened, take ages to save rounds once you edited, also the apps matrix don’t seem to fit the screen of the iPhone anymore
Good but not great…
Been using the app on iOS with the Connex tags for a few months now. The data is great but the experience of using the tags falls short. The app will crash multiple times during a round, is slow to upload any manually entered shots, the putting side is nowhere near accurate enough to be useful, same with pin collection (no the pin isn’t 5 yards off the green in a bunker!?) and in general it’s not great fiddling with your phone before every shot. Saying that, the data is very good so I’m tempted to upgrade to a watch with tags in the hope that it removes some of the negatives of using the phone tags. Connex are close to being good but really let down by the app itself.
Love the V5
I had a few issues with my X5 device initially but support from the team at Shot Scope was outstanding. They handled everything quickly and professionally and arranged a replacement with the V5. The V5 has been excelent- reliable easy to use and a real asset on the course. I genuinely wouldn't want to play golf without it now.
Frequent failed course sync
Won a V5 watch in a comp. The watch is fine, came with the club sensors which work well with the watch itself, however the app just doesn’t work for me (IPhone and IPad). Trying to sync courses for updates and it constantly disconnects from the watch, doesn’t update or maybe updates if you are lucky after 20-30 attempts! I also tried to upload my rounds and after getting to 99% got a ‘failed to update’ message😤. I have previously updated using my son’s PC to connect via USB, but now he has left home I don’t have my own PC so that option is gone. I have looked at and tried all of the solutions found online and none of these work. If I had paid for this watch, I wouldn’t be happy at all. Will try a Garmin soon!
Editing
When using the drop ball it does not connect to the next shot. According to Shot Scope this is by design. I find editing not straight forward at all.
Hit and miss
H 50 would not turn on again. Frozen screen! It was fully charged, when I checked before leaving for the course. Frustrated to say the least.
Out of date maps
I have just played 4 golf courses in north wales and 2 courses displayed Incorrect hole information North wales golf course and Rhuddlan golf course can you let me know how il This can be fixed
Changed my game
Use H4 and it has allowed my to understand my true distances with every club to plan strategy for each shot.

Poor syncing
Solid but lots of room for improvement
Disappointed to find out it doesn’t give you a handicap, I would be willing to fill out scorecards for all the course I play such as course rating and slope rating for every tee box. Feels like handicap is the bare minimum these days. Other than that there is a lot of data if you are willing to edit every round to make sure it’s accurate
Continuous bugs
Been using this method for a number of years starting with the V3 now on the X5. I’ve had nothing but issues since I’ve had the X5 watch and now the app is full of bugs. The watch always struggles to connect to a golf course, usually taking 5 to 10 minutes to do so. The app is very difficult to use, not straightforward at all and now won’t show my performance or my latest round of golf. The app was much more straight forward years ago showing your stats in a very clear way and easy to navigate.
UI Stinks
I love the watch and using during my round. The UI on my phone is unusable since refresh last year. It was a million times better. Used to have data easily accessible and now it is impossible to find. Other than finding distance I find it frustrating to use.
I’m BAACK!
I used a SC V2/3 in IL from 2018-2020. I got an Apple Watch for health reasons, and was able to get a free subscription with Arccos. Now in PA, the AW app keeps screwing up. I’ve reported it to Arccos support at least four times with photos - NO HELP, and little contact. I got an X5 and am back to ShotScope! It’s has more features than the V3 in color, but the great intermediate hazard readings!
Whats happened?!
Can you please tell me whats happened with the new update?! I am unable to load new courses to my watch it just keeps crashing or saying you can no longer transfer via an android device even though i am using an iphone?!
Better tracking required
When shot scope misses a shot, you are guessing where you played it from as no breadcrumb trail is left unlike Arccos. therefore, not as accurate in data collection.
The User Interface is baffling
The app has two main flaws: 1. The user interface is really poorly designed with a weird mix of slides and buttons that are very unintuitive. It shows one massive chart per page which means you’re endlessly having to scroll or click your way around. Example: This is what you need to see strokes gained for approaches - go to performance, click what looks like a filter button (next to another filter button), click approaches, you’re presented with a huge greens accuracy visual, and a slider left to right, but dont be fooled there is a barely visible pullup tab, swipe that up, then click the strokes gained button. I’ve done escape rooms that are easier to figure out! 2. One thing users want to know is what they should work on, this requires the user to do a lot of digging into the stats (which is painful, see point above), why not present the user with analysis which shows where they are dropping the most shots, and not just broad areas like but specific, like short game 0-25 yards, maybe allow the user to track a fee specific ones they’re going to work on and track progress.

Great app, easy to use and the data are invaluable
New app is dreadful
New app is a huge step backwards. So much less intuitive and far fewer stats. I also can’t for the life of me find how to see strokes gained in the performance section, despite reading the tutorial. I use the app 80% less than I used to. It’s just not fun or useful to use anymore, and I’ve tried for months to get used to it. Really disappointing.
Saving Mapping After A Round
The app is very slow when saving information after editing a shot. I’m using IOS 18.7.8 it’s starting to be very annoying!
Ok but big big problems
I have a G5 and been trying to use it for 6 to 9 months. I play golf 3 times a week and i am able to use the G5 about once every 2 weeks. 1. Battery charging is a pain - most of the time it will not charge, although i adjust the connection 3 to 4 times a day and reboot the G5 many times. - very BAD DESIGN and a BIG PROBLEM it does not charge. 2. Course - can take anything from 5 mins to never, although you restart the watch a dozen times. Spends hours searching for the course and finds one which is 5 miles away and not yours you are on. Would i recommend the watch - NO WHEN it does work - its okish
Good, but room for improvement
Had the app for about a year now. Really love the simplicity, and the fact that there is zero subscription fees. Areas for improvement: 1. Any time I open another app or lock my screen, it reloads the app and I have to select my round again and scroll to the hole I’m on. I don’t love always having to have my screen on in my pocket. 2. Adding penalty shots is a struggle, they never seem to accurately show up where you put them, and they tend to jump around on the hole. 3. During today’s round, on several holes on my home course that I’ve logged over 50 rounds at, the app for some reason swapped the greens on back to back holes. It was showing I had 45 yards to the hole from the tee box even after double checking I was on the right hole in the app. 4. I would prefer an option to turn on a simpler, computer image of the hole like several of the other apps have. I think it’s nicer to look at than a satellite view. Overall great app but several things that could be improved.

Just a superb way to improve my game, tells me everything I need to know about my game. Use in conjunction with the X5 watch, I wouldn’t leave home without it..
V5 Watch won’t let me Firmware Update
Bought the V5 watch today and can’t even use it as when I start a Firmware Update, it keeps losing Bluetooth connectivity to my iPhone. Not what I was expecting from a brand new product with so many good reviews. Still waiting for Support to get back to me. It’s been over 24 hours now
Shot Scope Connex and Shot Scope app review
Tracker sensors are great and accurate. I had it for about 2 months now. You just need to get used to pulling out your phone to scan the clubs. On the app itself, sometimes when you open another app, like the camera, the Shot Scope app closes and when you tap Continue Round, it doesn’t remember the last hole you played. It always opens to the first hole. Also, I wish there’s an option to view the entire history of your clubs’ distances instead of just the top 3 or the averages. Hopefully they’ll add that feature. Overall, I would give it a 4.5. It would’ve been higher if it wasn’t for the bug and the missing feature. But it’s a great app and product because there’s no subscription. I just ordered the H4 handheld to give it a try.
Very disappointed
After 2 years using GolfPad I’m a fan of golf apps. I love the way I can track distances with each club and see my game improve. Thought it would be great to use tags rather than manually log shots so bought a set of Connex and installed Shot Scope app on iPhone. What a disaster! In play the app randomly restarts, screen goes dark so I cant read it. My game has gone downhill ‘cos I’m spending so much time messing with my phone!
Sync rounds
Love the watch. Love the data. 3 stars because it has a hawked time connecting to app and downloading rounds. Usually have to do it over and over to get it to download if it does. Frustrating. If this worked better it would be a great watch and app
Single figure dream
Been using the V3 for two years now and after having a new hip replacement I am on a mission to be a better player and get to single figures. The V3 has been really helpful, great bit of kit , I am upgrading to V5 soon , hopefully the new technology will help me get better and hopefully get to single digits 🤞🏻
Latest update lost my course!!
Been using Shot Scope for 2 years and has been a good experience. Friday’s update lost my course and my weekend rounds are showing as @unmapped”. Updates should be rigorously tested before releasing…the new formatting doesn’t warrant non-working core functionality.

Looking forward to it. But can I make a request? How about Apple Watch integration? And while I'm at it on handicap I don't have a 10 I have a 10.4 handicap

Great watch , only problem it’s not saving my rounds now from June , if I could find some help on the website would have marked it with 4 stars 🌟
Poor at Best
The problem is with the App. (1) Uploading rounds is a pain. I click to sync rounds and it just stops or sticks at a certain percentage, usually 97%. I have to uninstall the app, reinstall, hard reset the Shot Scope device and then it will sync. (2) You can not edit your score or round until after it’s synced. This can not be done without adding missed shots after the round. This is near impossible on the app as nothing works. How am I supposed to remember what shots were taken over the course of an 18 hole round if not captured during the round? Especially when I have to wait to get to a computer. Wouldn’t it be better to be able to do it during the round or to have a functional app that actually allows simple stroke additions or score changes.3) App is terrible. It is constantly freezing and I am constantly having to uninstall and then reinstall it. I click to edit round and nothing works. I have to do all of this on the website page. Generally, the data is awesome and I love the device, but there needs to be some serious work on the app before this is user friendly.

Can’t even set up my watch!
Tried numerous times to set up my x5 watch, connects perfectly fine but comes up with an update, gets to about 6% every time and just says ‘lost connection’ I’m sure it’s not a buggy device, pretty certain it’s this app! It’s a shame as would of loved to try it……
Brilliant golf analysis app
The app gives you almost everything you will ever need to know about your game. A must have if you are serious about improving your scores. If it could map your round in real time on your phone (like game golf) it would receive full marks. I would 100% recommend.
X5
I have always been an avid supporter of Shot Scope how ever this new watch is a disaster. It is finally going to crack my support and if things don’t improve i will be asking for my money back. There are so many bugs and gremlins. Pick up still doesn’t work after numerous complaints. Putts no longer register their location. Pin location is often yards off. Twice today it wasn’t even shown on the green.
Doesn’t recognise tracking
Have used the device with the club tracking enabled but EVERY round I have played, it keeps not recognising the club selections intermittently. Have upgraded the firmware on watch today let’s hope it improves

I’ve had the shot scope V3 since Jan 24, and I have been generally quite pleased with this product! I mainly use the gps + track, and I’ve been pleased with how I’ve been able to cut 3 shots off my handicap from 12 to 9 purely by reducing the number of shots left short on approach to green! I have recently bought a replacement set of tags as a number of the originals had worn down! I have re organised my bag and use tubes for the clubs with foam at their base to stop the wearing of the tags on the bottom of the bag! These new tags appear to be much better at picking up which club is being used and doesn’t appear to miss any shots after two rounds of using them! Great product for the price!
Bluetooth drops out
Watch cannot maintain Bluetooth to Apple products, cannot load data to app.
Newbie but I still recognize it needs improvement
I really love the data I can accumulate to improve my game and really dig that ShotScope sensors are included and no extra cost for subscription. That key difference is why I went w/ ShotScope. Generally, the automatic scoring works. But on 3 or 4 occasions while golfing the round was not captured. In one instance, the GPS got lost on a specific hole at the tee box which had been under construction and the rest of the round was goofed up. I lost data for 9 holes when it was an 18-hole round and while golfing the watch looked like it was keeping pace and recording data. I also don’t understand the discrepancy between manual scoring and automatic scoring. When confirming a score while in “Pin Collect” mode is that the manual score? I thought it was me confirming what the watch had calc’d for my score. Key point: if distance to the pin is your main reason for buying/wearing a device this one is highly accurate, very comfortable and easy to use.
Updating Firmware
In a constant loop of deleting app, connecting to watch and app asking to update firmware and the. Sits at 0% with spinning wheels. Not the first time, great when it works too many glitches
What happened?
This was such a fun app until I updated to the latest version. Lost the performance stats pages - which is the best part of this app - and now I just see the boring home page. Hopefully they fix this and get full functionality back, otherwise this not useful.
