Seems to be converting it to some other encoding, which then doesn’t scan properly at the store.
Overwhelming flexibility, but in a good way
There’s a lot of options for designing your passes for Apple Wallet and the app gives you a solid platform for adding them to your mobile wallet. It’s a little confusing and takes some trial and error, but it’s a really neat way for me to add my own custom loyalty cards to my Wallet for stores/services that don’t support it natively
Stacks Cards, Even in Pro Version
Works well for 10 homemade cards. After that, it will still allow you to make new homemade cards, but it will stack the new ones on top of others you’ve made. So this is a limitation, as I want to be able to see all my cards. Bummer, because the app enables you to create decent loyalty cards.
Decent app
I bought the premium version of the app but it sometimes crashes in the middle of creating a pass, and there should be an option to add the nfc sign on the bottom right like all passes that use nfc. It would also be great to add a logo on the bottom right of a pass like it’s linked to an app. I will give 5 stars when these options are added. Thanks!
Great App
I’ve been using Pass2U Wallet and it’s been a game-changer. The app makes it incredibly easy to create and store custom passes for Apple Wallet — whether it’s loyalty cards, event tickets, coupons, or membership IDs. The interface is clean, straightforward, and doesn’t require any technical knowledge to get started. If you want a simple way to create and manage passes that aren’t officially supported, Pass2U Wallet is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

Best card app for Apple Wallet
Struggled to add certain Loyalty cards to my Apple Wallet so searched for apps to help with this. Tested a few and this is the best. Not only can you add cards but you can create your own or use other users templates. Now I have the loyalty cards in my wallet. Even bought the iAP so I could sync my cards to other devices. Also the dev replies to emails too.
Templates not approved
The free version worked fine, so I upgraded to create public templates. However, templates require developer validation, and more than 30 hours later mine is still stuck on “Waiting for review” with no update or indication of how long it will take. If publishing is a paid feature, the approval process should be clearer and more reliable. Will ask for a refund if it isn’t approved soon.
Can’t edit existing cards
On my iPhone 17 Pro Max, I can’t edit existing wallet cards. I think the edit button is getting cut off on the top right corner of the screen.
Seamless Solution!
I am amazed at the simplicity of this app. I was able to create Apple Wallet Passes for much of my more dated memberships as well as for my own programs. This app rocks!
Absolute Garbage
You can’t even edit a template or put a picture of the pass you are TRYING TO ADD. The app doesn’t allow you to do anything at all without having you purchase premium or whatever it is, and even if you do purchase it, it is a complete scam since the app doesn’t even let you add a pass and it only allows you to “add a barcode” despite google saying SPECIFICALLY that you could “add the pass” in the app. Do NOT buy this app if you need something reliable and/or something that will not just take your money and essentially turn into the digital equivalent of a brick the moment you try to do anything with it.
It’s nice, but…
Can’t upgrade to the pro version!! I tried multiple times, it just refuses to allow in app purchase!? Otherwise the app is great! The free version pre much covered 95% of item’s I had, and fully customizable. Thank you for doing something Apple should have in their native app.
It’s ok
Almost all functionality is hidden behind the premium feature. That’s actually fine by me and I bought it. So I was very disappointed that when I went to add my new barcode to the widget it says no options found. But adding it to the wallet worked well enough though customization was a bit more limited than I expected.

Additional info, August/2025: nothing earth shattering, but it’s a drag that I went to the trouble to create a template for vaccination cards and I don’t mind that you didn’t publish it for others to use, but it no longer shows up in my wallet for some reason. It never expired so I don’t know why that occurred. Some new templates would be nice. I don’t use it near as much as I used to. New features would be optimal. __________ First update after initial review: Rating has gone down since initial install. It is still a useful app, and I have found none better for iOS, but it could be much simpler to add cards, whether gift/ID/memb/Insurance etc… Pros & Cons: • scanned codes are invaluable in situations of a lost physical card, so allow me to encourage users to utilize the VISIBLE option • many standard templates are missing for COMMON ID types like US PASSPORTS: a blank generic one is offered with no place for photo or a scan! Really? For something as basic and common as a US passport? It’s not like US passport templates change very often and they’re even consistent looking across all 50 states, so why a white, blank generic, heavily lacking offering for US passports ? What good is a stored boarding pass for travel if I can’t store my ID required to verify it? it defeats the purpose of having a digital wallet, if I have to dig into my pocket for a physical ID. Multiple steps or actions required for one document to travel, also increases likelihood of loss. • standard templates also missing for multiple states’ drivers licenses… (unless you live in TX or FL). Another situation where the generic template should offer an option for a complete, scan or photo of the physical ID! • AAA offers multiple templates, but none have a field for the member name?? Again, a simple, scan or photo would be optimal • the expiration Fields offered are confusing on many card types. Why are there three different fails to put an expiration date/time etc. and no custom option for notification date before cards expire? Yes I know there is a default setting for pro members in the settings section but you can’t have different notification dates for different types of cards. Some like my passport needs at least a month notification as a reminder whereas others only need days. *** Finally, overall, this app would be ideal, especially the pro version I have, if it offered the ability to scan an entire card, not just a UPC code, for every entry/card type. Just a suggestion as developers, obviously thought of a lot before introducing it but some repeat fields are just worded differently for the same thing. That’s confusing. Simply the ability to scan any card, regardless of type or category, even when identifying numbers have already been manually entered… would be the best of all worlds, and I would happily return my rating to 5⭐️ again. Very Useful
This app let me add my library card to Apple wallet and it worked at the library! It lets you add any other card with a barcode as well.

Unfortunately not really functional anymore unless they fix the interface. Crucial buttons are now unreachable.

Worked fine until the recent update. Now custom fields don’t show up on the Apply feature.
Frustrating
It’s not straightforward what each field means or how it’ll show up. I normally just make blank cards and scan the bar card in. It doesn’t work with most things I try but it works with my library cards which is a high priority for me. I wish it worked more consistently. I’ve used this app for ten years I would guess. I can’t remember not having it. I just keep hoping it’ll get better.
Better than my original library card
I lost my library card and this let me replace it. Someone even created a Hennepin county library template with my hold number. Better than the original card

Clunky and no Apple Watch portability
I wanted to like this more, but it is not intuitive and everything is “trapped” in the iPhone Apple Wallet. To be truly useful, passes need to be portable to Apple Watch.
Flight Time Issue for PM Tickets
Love this app as it allows me to convert my PDF train tickets for use with Apple Wallet. The only issue I’ve encountered is when I try to set a “Flight Time”. The set time keeps switching from PM to AM when saving the train ticket to my Apple Wallet. At the moment, I’m unable to set the ticket to appear on my Lock Screen for a specific time, such as 4:37 PM. I’m using an iPhone 16 Pro with iOS 18.2.1. Thanks for looking into this!
Missing WatchOS compatibility
Edit: Apple Watch feature was available—I just needed to restart my Apple Watch to refresh iCloud. The Pro version works great for Apple wallet. I bought it to make myself an easily accessible gym membership pass to scan. It would work great for library cards, or anything with a barcode or QR code. But it does not have compatibility with Apple Watch. This is a missing feature I would love to see in the future.
Seems Like a Scam
Setup not intuitive. Was in a continual loop to enter info, including a credit card despite it being 100% free. Finally got through registration and again not intuitive to add store reward cards. Just deleted it.

Pass2u dose not allow removal of item in wallet. Only shows link to App Store . Find this a bit manipulative.

Very nice…
This is a very nice app and it works. It just works very slowly (animations lag and it loads long). I strongly suggest and ask for you to update the app for optimisation for newer iPhones with more power, and just give the app a revamp as its looking pretty old now.
Ridiculous animation
Why on earth does a developer choose to add a ridiculous animation to a great app? Please follow UI guidelines and consider its value before adding. Otherwise it’s a good app.
design
i wish the app give us the option to create something very similar to the actual card by scanning the card or may be suing similar card to inspire to create a design. Scan a QR code or bar code and create same one to use as a digital card.
Best on the AppStore but could be better
I’ve submitted some feedback to the developer so we will see what happens. But for a one time purchase for pro at an extremely cheap price, this app is the absolute best in its class for adding ANYTHING to your apple wallet. It does have a learning curve but overall it’s straightforward. I do wish there was a walkthrough of some type to help new users. The group category is very nice, allowing you to have up to 10 groups of passes within your apple wallet, creating amazing organization!
Useless, add to Wallet is Pro feature
Literally the only reason to use the app is locked behind a pay wall. I am happy to pay to remove adds and such, but your app must at least do something to test it. Also pretty cumbersome to make passes with custom fields, it just takes a lot of time. Its competitor app is much much quicker on the go (but has a back end that goes down a lot)
Excellent but missing a few things
The best one I found. I would love to be able to have a bit more customisation however. Adding a large square photograph and being able to position it wherever I want would be incredible.
Can’t use location triggers, in Pro
I bought the Pro version of this App, to access the “location triggers” function, so that my supermarket store card pops up when I am near the store. I cannot find this option anywhere and the FAQ / help is almost non-existent. Hoping the developer will come on here and help me out. Happy to upgrade the review if this get sorted. Right now, it seems that I have paid for nothing!
Not much benefit from the pro version
The absence of adverts is of negligible benefit. It would be helpful if the Pass2U logo didn’t appear in Apple Wallet. However, setting the “Remove Pass2U” logo switch does not remove the logo from the finished card. This needs to be sorted, as the logo is bigger than the image of the cards.
Custom apple wallet cards
Whenever I get gift cards/passes that are not compatible with apple wallet I get so frustrated. This app solves that problem because it lets you create apple compatible cards to add to your wallet. You just have to choose a template and copy the info from your card over. Then it lets you save it to your digital wallet. It lets you do this for free as long as you use someone else’s template. There a lot a lot of templates for popular companies. If you want to design your own template, it will cost money.

Not good, has pass4u logo
This app is terrible, the pass4u logo is always on the bottom left corner of pass in the wallet. It would’ve been nice if there was an option to remove it. If it was made clear that the logo is permanent, I would not have wasted my money on this App.
Improved
After giving up on this app a year ago because it crashed constantly and email requests for help were completely ignored by the developer, the recent updates have made it usable again. When it works, this app is great. Moving all my store loyalty cards into Apple wallet is very useful. However be aware that paying for the premium version won’t help if you experience issues, the developer works to their own schedule and doesn’t seem to care about the impact on users if things remain broken for months on end.
Great for cards that don’t support Apple Pay
I wanted to put my railcard on Apple Pay but they don’t allow the feature. So I used this app and worked no issue. When my railcard got checked. The woman was shocked as she said she’s never seen anyone do that before but it scanned fine so caused no issues.
Passed not kept separate
I paid for the upgraded version so that I would be able to separate the passes in my wallet. It doesn’t work, all passes are lumped together and unable to be separated in my wallet. Scam and a waste of money
Great App but...
Missing options to: - edit templates - delete templates when no longer relevant
Not much use
I had some pdf theatre tickets with a bar code and preferred not to print them out. I thought I’d add them to my Apple Wallet. This app looked like it would do the job. It didn’t. Tried to scan the bar code, didn’t work. Took a picture, didn’t work. There are notes about only a limited range of barcode formats being supported but how am I supposed to know if it’s code 39 or code 128? Deleted the app.
No Sharing
I can’t share my passes to my other iPhone. Otherwise it’s a good app!
