The latest update erased all of my dates.
I’ve been using this app for years, and had nearly 100 dates saved. I’m assuming the latest update was the cause. I reached out for help, to no avail. Help would still be appreciated.
It was perfect but
I bought a yearly subscription and have been using it for the past 11 months but it updated a couple of months ago and now every time you open the app it prompts you to create a new event and you have to skip 3 pages worth of these prompts to get to your count down or streak pages. I tried to find a way to switch it off but can’t. It’s so frustrating that I’ve now cancelled my subscription and won’t renew for another year. Everything else about the app I love, particularly how you can choose time measurements and add your own photos but I’m sick of the prompts.
Just roll it back already
Like others have stated, this app used to be nice, if not perfect. All we really needed was a fix to the buggy way background images are handled. Now that that is actually worse, I don’t even bother with them anymore.
Needs a lot of work
The actual countdown aspect of the app is decent and it’s fun that you can add different background images. However, the new layout has added a ton of unnecessary features. Also the widget almost never works and hasn’t essentially the whole time I’ve had the app which has been at least a year or two.

You are required to link one of your main accounts to this app before you can even view the app. Read the terms of service and privacy policy carefully. You consent to way too much for a basic counting app.
Ok but needs support
It’s a good app, I paid for premium but I can’t find any support for it. The widgets don’t update unless you open the app and really I wanted this so I could see the day count on my widget. If you don’t open the app though they get stuck on whatever the last day was you open the app.
Used to be awesome. Now, not
This is one of two apps I have ever paid for because I loved the layout and UI of it. I’ve been using this app for 6 or 7 years and it’s been great. But now I can’t stand it. The UI used to be wonderful and now is trash, the update deleted my previously saved events (I re-added them but the fact that it deleted important dates is BS), can’t edit/crop the images how you used to be able to do… at this point I am just going to parrot what the other recent comments have already stated, so I’ll just leave it there. Tl;dr: this app used to be awesome and was exactly what I had been wanting and I loved it so much that I ended up buying the app outright. Now I hate it and am looking at alternatives.
Ok so far
I’m new to this app, and so far it’s alright. I’m glad I didn’t see the original design; sounds like people preferred that one. I do wish the shareable image was more aesthetically pleasing, like the widget perhaps.

Randomly deleted all counters
Got on today and all my counters were just gone. Account still logged on and everything. Tried contacting support but haven’t heard back. It would seem that the information is not held locally so it’s not really your own info. Which is disturbing.

The widget does not update well. I have to click on the widget and open the app for it to update. Defeats the purpose of a widget.
Needs a percentage option.
Great to have all the time options. But a % countdown or up from a start date to a finish date would be great.

Erased Important Day
On the 2nd anniversary of the death of a family member, this app destroyed 2 years of tracking a date using this timer. Poor app in my opinion.
Great! But can be glitchy
I’ve been using the app for nearly a year now and whilst overall great, it does need slight improvement. It has good selection of picture backgrounds, you can even add your own, but it’s just somewhat glitchy. On loading the app it has a different picture on different events (date) this is an eyesore and confusing for a moment, until you click on the date and it sorts itself out. I have paid for premium as I do like the layout and style of the app but would expect it not to have problems with photo upload 😅. 4/5- if they could add a calendar or something more it would justify the price per year :) but I do overall enjoy the app! Thanks creators
Glitches take away all the cool features and potential
I love the idea of the app. I like having the widgets on my Home Screen to look back at how long ago favorite memories were. I like the IDEA of different backgrounds so I can have a pic of that memory for the widget. Problem is this app glitches so much that currently have a wooded backdrop of San Diego instead of the beach. Please fix!

I’ve been using this app for a few years and have enjoyed how the events are displayed until now - the appearance is not an improvement and I’m currently looking for a different app to use that is more visually appealing

Inaccurate day count
I put in a date that’s about 33 days away. I chose to exclude weekends in the settings and the preview showed that the date was 23 days away. Clicked the check mark and then it automatically changed to 28 days away. No matter how many times I change it, the app continues to display an incorrect number of days and I’m not sure how it arrived at that number. Kind of defeats the purpose of the app if it can’t accurately count down the days.

DayCount is a great app that is also very useful when needing to know how long till something are going happen. Overall it’s a great app. Good work DayCount
Useless without subscription
Not a bad app, and I understand the need to monetize, but the only use this app has to me is for widgets. It’s laughable that the app won’t let you use such basic features without paying a monthly subscription. One-time fee? Maybe. Monthly? Absolutely not.
6.0 design is bad
In 6.0 the list view of counters the counted time and the start date of the counter is tiny. It no longer shows the start time of the center. There actual name of the counter is smaller. Huge amounts of blank space around the actual content. The previous design made the counted time of the counter the largest element. Now it’s the selected background of the counter. I have never cared about the backgrounds, always set it to black (which was annoying because it always defaults to something). Now the stuff I care about is tiny and the dumbest feature is the app is front and center. 3 stars from me until this is fixed.

Latest Update Broke the App
I have been a loyal paid user for years. The App became unusable recently. When track an event and hit the edit - reset option, the app does NOT reset to zero. It starts a 59 minute countdown and does not track elapsed time for the first hour. You must add one hour onto the displayed time to get the correct time,

This app is great for keeping track of dates and events. The free reward doesn’t work after watching the ad.
Uninstalled after free trial
This is a beautiful app and I would have loved to purchase it. But I never could get the counts to display the correct number of days. I filed a bug report to let the developer know.
Nice before newest update
I like the app it serves it’s purpose, it was aesthetically pleasing before the newest update but now they removes the times off the front display when you open the app and the counters look bland and blend together now, I wish there was someway of going back to the previous version because that was much nicer to look at.

I accidentally updated all apps, including updating to 6.0. It’s been years, almost a decade actually but yeah the app is completely useless
Great app but...
This is honestly such a nice , clean and great app to use for tracking things but when I recently updated the app it deleted all of my events ? I hope I can recover them , a bit disappointed honestly. Still a great app though .
6.0 update is bad
Been using this to keep track of things for years. I liked it because is was simple and didn’t require multiple steps to reset counters. Update 6 changed that.

Long term reliable app crippled by newest IOS
I’ve used this app for years to countdown towards payday, holidays, Xmas ect using the widget function. However the latest IOS update made widgets display grey boxes instead of the countdown, I’ve now had to get another app which is nowhere near as good, please fix this!

Thnx for this app. It’s a hamdy reference but I’d like the data to be available in the app icon so that I can see the daily count. Either that or a reminder that lets me know after each year that I achieved something. In other words the app messages me annually to say it was a year etc since a certain event. Thnku

I have been using this app for a couple of years and it has recently changed and not for the better. It is harder to use and see my counters and I dislike it very much. I will be looking for a new countdown app.
Good but could be better
Before the latest update I would’ve given it 4 or even 5 stars. But now it has a decimal point. Like no thanks. Even if people do want that like let me turn it off? I don’t want 4.8 weeks just say 5 weeks. I get what your trying to show but it just looks messy. Everything else is pretty good, love you can use your own pics or search the library. Some great shots. Really happy that as a free customer I can just use the one thing I need. The widget is great. Just the decimal point. Let me switch it off and I’ll change my rating 😅

App was great! 6.0 Not So.
I have used this app and paid the premium price for years. I have ADHD and calendars are distracting for me (sounds silly it’s the truth) so I love being able to us this app, which shows the very next event that you have coming up, to keep track of what to focus on next without getting distracted by too many future events. It’s been very helpful! 6.0 the basic functions of the app are still essentially the same, so I am still giving the app some time for me to get used to the new update. However, in the way that I use the app, the 6.0 update has made some changes that are less helpful. It is now more clicks/taps to edit an events ‘Category’ (was three, is now six), and it seems to have changed my appointments, which had set times, to ‘All Day’, which I was able to easily fix by turning off All Day, but it does still feel like a bug. And, as other reviews have noted, the previous aesthetic of the app was more pleasing to the eye and had more information about each Counter on the List View page, and the new update is not nice to look at and has less information than before. I have a feeling that I will stop paying the subscription this year, but hopefully an option to go back to the previous aesthetic can be added. If that is added, then I will keep my subscription.
Widget Auto pick event
I was expecting app will pick new upcoming ‘Until’ event automatically in widget so it is easier to see in the main screen of my phone, but it doesn’t do, I need to choose the event every time once the current event is passed. It is so disappointed.
