E-Edition
Thereβs only one thing thatβs wrong with it. You cannot still read the E edition on an older iPad.π€¨
Subscription Not working
I subscribed and every ad I click on says subscribers only. I click on subscribe and it says already subscribed. But will not let me view ad.
E newspaper
Easy and concise to read
Obits
A full week now obits has some how had no deaths. July 18,2021
Hometown Paper
I rate the overall rating 3 stars. It has improved some since we know can read USA TODAY and other papers that Gannett/MediaNewsGroup owns. I would love it if the newspaper would print articles every now and then from NewYorkTimes news service and TheWashingtonPost news service. It gets really boring only getting AP,USANETWORK. IT WOULD ALSO BE NICE IF A FEW MORE COMICS WERE ADDED. Iβm sure this is not even going to be considered because it would cost more. Iβm sure you wonβt publish this. Anyway think you for your time. Convenient & Informative
Absolutely love the convenience of having the TRN at my fingertips regardless of what I am doing and where I meet be!
MSU Sports
We have a vibrant university in Wichita Falls. However, when it comes to sports, there is never any mention of MSU athletics in the sports section. Thereβs always plenty of Texas Tech sports in your sports but never ever Midwestern State. The last time I checked, Lubbock is not local. I realize that Jonathan Hull is a one man show but I do believe he could reach out to the MSU athletic department for things going on in sports. Yesterday, the MSU menβs soccer team secured a place in the Final Four of the NCAA D2 Menβs Soccer Championship but I would be willing to bet there wonβt be any mention of it in the paper. Nick Gholson would be rolling over in his grave at the lack of mention of MSU athletics in the sports section. I also subscribe to the Bowie News & there is more mention of MSU sports in their paper than yours. Your coverage of Midwestern State in other manners is well covered in the news section. Please do better in the sports department. Itβs a travesty that this paper doesnβt do better in covering the local college in sports. Thank you
We love the paper and we want to insure that our subscription will continue. Please let us know.

Late news
If you like news that is not updated but about every 4 days this is the app.
New TRN
The format is good, but the table of contents is odd in that the Obituaries are last. The way the deaths are report is somewhat confusing. It would be good to have a listing with names only and links to the full obituary.

Great app! Easy to navigate
Will not let me sign in
Terrible to have a subscription that kicks you off when you travel to a new Location. Then will not let you sign into your account. Get your app working!!!
Canβt leave feedback on stories that I could add more context to, esp the police brutality one
You try to leave feedback & all Iβm ever met with is a blank page , with no access to my keyboard to write anything
Problems with iOS 14.0 for iPad
Since updating my operating system on my 10.5 inch iPad Pro to iOS 14.0, this app has become difficult to use. As I progress further and further into an edition, the pages load more slowly, often times taking thirty seconds or more to load. If I try to scroll before the page finishes loading, the app crashes. I have not seen this behavior in a very long time. I hope corrections will be made to remedy this problem.
Seems to work
The app works. I can also renew my subscription. Goal achieved.
Newspaper
I cannot access my E newspaper. I can not find ANY customer support!
Easy way to get local news
TRN is an easy way to get local news.
FOBERG
So much better than before. News is now new not 3 months old.
Horrible App
Signed in, keep getting notice to subscribe. Called number, got the usual TRN runaround. Emailed for help, no luck there. I can get last weeks news with less hassles somewhere else. Been putting up with TRN for 25 years, now done.
NEW TRN APP
The new format takes some getting used to, but I'm really enjoying it now. It's much closer to actually reading the newspaper!
Solid
Good TRN app.
Times Record News Wichita Falls Tex
First I read your ethical principals - well that was a laugh a minute. Actually it wasnβt - it was sad, disgusting and how embarrassing for this paper. Just flat out lies. Shane on you. Secondly the political cartoons and most of your political editorials are disgusting, lying, despicable pieces of trash. Again you should be ashamed. Third the paper has a lack of truthful, intelligent reporting. I dropped you years ago but my 90 year old mother enjoys reading the paper but the last year or so she just gets more disgusted with your hatred, disrespect, and dishonesty over reporting anything that has to do with President Trump, politics and this virus. Fourth it is time to shut down your βnews paper statusβ and rebrand yourself as one of the new tabloid papers. That is exactly what you have become.
Easy on the go
I travel a lot and this app allows me to check in and see what I'm missing. I like to see the obits daily too. Thanks TRN for staying up to date.
Disappointed
Leaves a lot to be desired. The only thing updated daily or every other day is the sports. (I donβt care about sports). The local news stories are left for weeks. The man charged with the Target robbery has been the for awhile. News is the word!!! However Iβm still paying. Maybe something is better than nothing. I check the obits. Which maybe 2 times a week they are updated.
Good
Good information
Times Record News
Generally speaking, nice app & easy to navigate. I now only have a digital subscription so I depend on it to be up-to-date. I think most things get updated routinely. However, obituaries are my mobile device are updated. I have re-booted & have sent messages & still the obits are out-of-date. Obituaries on my device are 2 weeks old. When you subscribe to a local paper, local information needs to be updated including obituaries.
Never updates
If you like reading four day old news, this is the app for you!
