Works brilliantly
Fab app, cheap to go add free too. Great for knowing when a drop or rise in pressure might trigger a migraine.
Doesn’t work
Flat out doesn’t read even close. Went from 11 to 29 in a couple hours with no change in our weather or our weather ap
I use it for migraines
It’s very easy to use I haven’t figured out how to set up notifications but hopefully I figure that out it would help me better predict my migraines

Loved this app and then it just stopped working. Deleting and looking for a new one.
Good - could be great
The app concept is great. Slightly outdated design but has some really good ideas to make this one of the best ones in the App Store for simple barometric monitoring like history, a main face dial that shows acceptable ranges and typical weather at that pressure, custom notifications etc. What could be improved: History chart doesn’t match up with the live view. It’s regularly a whole point off (29.x instead of 28.x) in the chart. For better ux, using a curve instead of linear lines would be nicer to see. For notifications, sometimes you click on one and it opens the app but there is no way to see what that notification was or specifically when it happened so you’re not sure if it was an old one or not. Having the notifications from the app stored with timestamps would be great. Lastly, Sea level adjustment via gps is nice but would be better to track live altitude adjustments while traveling using the internal tools of iPhone instead of map data to make the adjustment live. Perhaps it does this but I just notice if I have it up and travel it thinks my pressure has changed when it’s just a different altitude.
New User
I have only had the app for a few days and I am kind of impressed. I am trying to tie the relationship of barometric pressure to some medical issues. I find that the dial is easy to read and I get informative notifications when there will be changes. Thank you!
Instantly Too Many Ads
As soon as I loaded the app, ads were instantly playing with no opportunity ever to close them. It required closing the app and reopening to eliminate the advertisements. It is deceiving to give an app without a fair opportunity to actually use it as advertisement for games (that I have no interest in) constantly pop up.

get rid of ads & you have a good app
The app is ok, but the ads are wayyyy too much. When you open the app there’s several ads, just checking the pressure ads pop up. It’s just way too much. I understand it’s free, buts just too much. I would not mind paying a few dollars. But I haven’t seen that option.
Great app, fatal ad strategy.
Developing an app is expensive. And developers like to make money. It’s the system we are in: ads pay for stuff. I get it. This app, though, grabs the entire screen, and all audio, so frequently and so aggressively that the app isn’t useable; can’t run it long enough without full screen and audio take over. There are lots of ways to use ads without alienating users. Let’s hope this excellent developer gives monetization a re-think.

Why do I see ads now?
I just upgraded my iPhone from an X to a new 15. When I open Barometer Plus on my new iPhone I see ads, I do not see ads on my X when looking side by side. Thoughts?
Disappearing markers
Needles have disappeared. Tried re-loading the App, but nothing changes. Totally useless right now to be honest
Graphic error
The pressure value and the pressure on the dial do not match

Worked pretty good but now crashes and now forced ads
Application worked real good and stored data. Only if you kept the application running. Application now crashes when you open it on iPhone. I removed and reinstalled the app and now I get forced advertisements like when I leave settings. This app has gone down in a bad way.
Colours
The colours are not very nice. The colours for the housing should be much stronger and different from the disk, for greater contrast. Otherwise very happy with the with the App. Orange colour does not look orange colour. The yellow colour looks more green than yellow. The purple colour okay.
Does not graph
I used to love this app but now it only seems to give me the current pressure and I can’t graph anything past or future
Unreadable
The text on the gauge is very small, but to make it worse it has this white text on light blue background which can’t be read or changed. Graph text is way too small.

I check it daily. I have allergies and it helps me understand why I get headaches.

Seems pretty accurate to me and going off other house barometers it reads the same.
Barometer alerts
Barometer alerts are backwards. When the readings high getting alerts worse weather soon.
Can’t see exact level on chart
Works well for basic barometer readings. Would like to be able to see pressure level # in chart that goes past .# - for example, currently if pressure is 30.501 & changes to 30.522, you cannot see past 30.5 when you view chart with vertical marker at pressure change points. It is hard to see pressure levels on left vertical scale of chart because it’s so small. That wouldn’t be such a problem if we could see three digits past decimal point on chart with vertical marker. If this were corrected, for me, the app would be worthy of a 4 star rating. I’d rate the app 5 stars if it had more concise instructions on how to calibrate for location & be able to set calibrations for multiple locations. Overall, this app gives simple barometer readings but doesn’t do much more than the Apple Weather App already does.
Just what I wanted!
This app does exactly what I wanted it to do! It not only gives you the current reading, but can chart the changes in pressure. There are plenty of options to reading the graph, too. I usually have it at one day, but it can go out to 30 days too!
Too many issues
I tried to get help to get notifications to work that I paid for that was unsuccessful. I thought well maybe I can still be able to save a current record so I haven't opened this thing up in weeks. Decide to open it up because I wanted to log the current barometric pressure and I can't even share that. This app is either way too complex or they have went downhill fast because I heard great things about this app. Deleting today can't delete fast enough.

A great real time barometer. Would benefit from the addition of a 3 hour pressure trend indicator. Rising, Falling, Slowly/Quickly and Steady.

Fitness tracker enable
I loved this app until it tells me I have to have fitness tracker on for it to work like it did before. I will likely delete the App soon if I can’t find a workaround. Maybe it was from updating IOS as well and it’s on their end. However, I don’t dig it. AT ALL!!! Update 05/23/2024. This was found to be due to an IOS update, intentional in my opinion, to gather data for big brother. This App worked before with my phone basically locked down as much as one could lock one down. App developer should sue Apple for lost revenue due to loss of users. From my understanding, by reading through the developer programmers chat, they were not warned of this change so therefore Apple should be liable for revenue losses.

I’m showing 30.57 inches QNH (MSL) sitting at the airport when the ATIS is advertising 29.95….
Useful for managing migraines
Many migraine patients find changes in barometric pressure affect their headaches. I finally found a study, albeit a small sample, that identified the range most likely to contribute to migraine. I started using this app to track pressure and find it very helpful for managing things like whether to get an early start with medication or indulge in a potentially dangerous behavior such as having a drink with dinner.
Started out pay for this and no personal tracking fora small fee.
Then the company added a “pro” version and selling the data to ? I wonder when they’ll pull that on pro-version. Time for an Apple investigation. Far better deal from bog-bridges - free version’s (which even includes iWatch faces 100% private -$>8.00 buys bells, whistles and got no idea what else

It stops tracking
Normally its fine, but it randomly stops tracking. For some reason it has nothing recorded all this week. What a pain, in the midst of national arctic snowstorms!
Absolutely worth purchasing the Platinum Edition
As a sufferer of frequent migraines, I was desperate for a good app after the one I’d been using went kaput. I tried several apps and finally settled on Barometer Plus after reading the User Guide and personalizing the settings to meet my needs. Right now it logs the barometric pressure hourly—to avoid draining the battery AND keep a record I can review—plus it’s set to notify me when the pressure changes rapidly. If you want/need an app with lots of customization options, I’d definitely recommend spending the $2.99 for the Platinum Edition so you can really tailor the app to suit your needs… just be sure to read the User Guide!

Really like this app, however I would love to see some sort of ‘arthritis warning’ as no one else seems to have this on the App Store
Was good by now useless
Been using this for a while until recent times when really intrusive adds and lack of usability have made it useless. Deleted it. UPDATE Had response from developer saying I can pay to get rid of the Ads, which was obvious. Said nothing about the usability. As I only use it to occasionally it is not worth it. If the ads had not become so in your face and intrusive and it returned to its original usability I would have been happy to continue.
So. Many. Ads.
The ads eat up your data and your time.
