Add movie ratings?
I love letterboxd so much, i use it to browse every movie i want to watch & keep track of them! I wonder if it would be possible to add movie ratings (PG, R, etc) so when I’m browsing what movie to watch, I know which ones are suitable to watch with family right in the app. Thanks and great app!

I love Letterboxd, but I cannot understand why they don’t let you review TV shows. Especially episodes. For real. Imagine you could review every episode of Breaking Bad? Rate it??? I cannot understand why this is NOT a feature.

Avis (Langue,Série,Bug)
Super application mais énormément de bug, on sent que l’application est délaissé. Ajout de la langue française serait pas de refus et des séries aussi. Sinon l’application est vraiment bien faite c’est top

User interface nightmare
This app requires too many taps to use and has too menus and interfaces.
Love the app, Finding features can be unintuitive
It can be challenging to find features intuitively. None of the features are that poorly implemented. I just think the user experience could be vastly streamlined when compared to other social media apps. So much about the app is so enjoyable, I just wish it made more sense to a smooth brained user like me. It would also be cool to have a discussion page for TV shows that allow you to filter reviews by episode, so people who have made it to the end can talk about it without spoiling it for people who haven’t

Interface doesn’t work
I like the app as a concept but I am having a lot of trouble with the interface not loading and logging my out continuously. It shouldn’t be so difficult to use for an app that it just personal notation, I don’t know why it’s so slow. If it worked properly I would be very happy.
love letterboxd I have an idea
Feature idea: being able to react to our friends’ ratings
Doesn’t work
App either takes forever to load opening it, or doesn’t at all. When it finally does load, it won’t show any movies, just ‘remove ads’ in the middle of a grey screen and everything I try to do after that I just keep getting pop up notifications at the top of “error” and “session timed out”. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing works
bug issues since update or maybe even right before
i got the app a month ago and me and my boyfriend use it constantly since. he’s had it longer but recently he was having issues of it logging him out then i opened mine to find it did the same. the app was working just fine before and he confirmed that as well but it’s been even having issues after logging in now and im afraid we’ll fall out of habit of using it again if this happens for much longer since we’re the type to switch up and leave things behind easily. i hope soemthing gets fixed soon or someone is at least made aware of this so they can fix the issue asap

Having issues
I love letterboxd but these days its having issues with solely launching the app. Hopefully this can be fixed with a new update SOON!!!

No TV series?
It’s ok, but it should include TV series. Also, the navigation is hit or miss, I find the search function cumbersome sometimes.

Disappointing app
I thought this would be a nice alternative to IMDB but it doesn't have movie news, the interface is clunky and you don't have control over display settings. IE) I'd like to see a list of actor/crew credits instead of the movie posters and to have credits listed by year you have to change settings for EVERY SINGLE SEARCH which is insane. Don't photos or media in movie listings and you can't favourite actors or crew. I'm deleting it.
Manque de langue
C’est un beau concept de faire un réseau social exclusivement dédié aux cinéma mais ce qui est dommage c’est qu’il n’y ai pas plusieurs langue et du coup ça empêche de découvrir tout les aspects de l’application

I love letterboxd please add shows/anime on a different interface so I can keep track of what I’m watching!! I understand people are saying that they don’t want it all mixed together because breaking bad would just flood the ranking system so why not add a whole section for shows!! Please!!!!!!
They deactivated my account for no reason
I started using this app back in 2020, had over 1100 film logs, and spent money on Patron for 3 years in a row. On Monday, my account got deactivated and I don’t know why. I emailed Letterboxd and somebody named Max told me that I had “made multiple accounts to spread hate speech”, but that isn’t true. I have only ever had one account since 2020 and never made any alts or posted any hate speech of any kind. I have emailed them back several times saying that they must have me confused with someone else because I have never done what they said I did. They will not respond back to me regarding that.

The app is great if it works properly but half the time it just crashes or logs you out. Been like this for 10 years now so nothing will ever be fixed

Slow and not intuitive
The app takes 30 seconds to open which is ridiculous on a newer iPhone Pro. As a new user to the service it isn’t as intuitive to use. It could be improved and it doesn’t need ads everywhere.

Almost Perfect
Letterboxd completely rearranged my life starting in 2024. It gave me a purpose driven way to slowly work through iconic movies in my backlog, categorizing and reviewing as I went. There’s a ton of utility and the only issue I’m fining with the social aspect is convincing more of my friend group to use the dang thing so I can see what they’re watching! The only thing I find annoying about the app has to be the search feature. If I hit the search icon in the corner, it really should allow me to just start typing a search query. I use the search bar so much, but it’s so unintuitive to not have it launch right into a search query when you enter the screen that I forget like every single time that you have to hit the magnifying glass, THEN tap on the search bar. Other than that, I’m a true convert.
Not a fan of the new layout
I liked having audience reviews front and centre in the old versions of the app. Not only that, but the older versions displayed more reviews without having to go into sub menus. Seriously, the new change to have cast and crew front and centre is so unnecessary as the main thing about your service is that it is a review site!
Good platform that needs work
I have been using Letterboxd for more than a decade and it is a great platform. However, I am surprised to see that it hasn't changed much if at all in 10 years. - Hard to naviguate between the different tabs (the UX in general could use work) - No community forums or tab to talk with people about movies - Stats at the bottom of the profile page (overall presentation of the profile is oversimplified compared to the web version) - No real dark mode - Ugly icons choice - UI is a bit dated Just from a visual aspect, the app could use a serious makeover. Maybe with Liquid Glass implementation?

Outdated Design but an incredible platform!
Letterboxd is by far my favourite app on my phone. As a huge movie enthusiast this is everything for me. I’m in it multiple times a day rating, reviewing, and interacting with others around movies. This is a movie lovers dream. My only issue with the app is it looks very outdated. This is an app design from another decade and with iOS 26 on the way, it’s only going to look more outdated soon (same with the website). That being said, functionally this app is fantastic. The design is out of date, but the service is incredible. I highly recommend the pro version. I'll forever be a Letterboxd fan!
No tv series
Spent 30 minutes filling what I’ve watched and what’s not only to discover that there’s no tv series there. Lame. But for some reason Chornobyl 2019 is there
