I truly used to love Acellus, but now with the new updates it is truly just no worth it on my NEW laptop and Ipad it glitches and replays the video and sometimes makes me not be able to answer questions without logging out. And I am going to be going to a new homeschool app from how they added the new week limit I am officially behind in school because they add this limit when I was out of town and skipped some of my work I can’t even catch up in a month. Please fix your glitchy app but I will be moving to a new app.

I like acellus but i HATE IT when i type something then it tells me i havent done it or when it says to remove a word then it takes my grade down 1
The new update sucks
Before the update it was really good and i could actually go back and catch up on lessons i messed on the past day(s) now it wont let me- and for people that cant see or read properly because of sight problems or like me who has dyslexia i cant always read right, thats why Read Out Loud should be there always for you to have- and the AI??? Why use AI when it was fine before it?- it was way better before the update and Acellus should really go back to how they had it in like 2022
Homeschooling
hello i started homeschool just a few days ago and im here to answer some of ur questions. you get videos that are easy to understand and WAY less stressful then a normal school would be you can do this anytime in the day i like to do it before bed or in the morning so i have all day with my mom and everything. this improved my mental state and my anxiety by a ton as someone who has severe social anxiety this app is the one Once ur done with ur classes for the day you can also play some informational games which are kinda nice.! Hope this helped.
Amazing
I love this app. In the beginning, it kind of confused me how they taught but now it has helped me . 2.75 GPA with their help now I’m at a 4.0 GPA! Some of the teachers teach really slowly and act, as if I am younger than they think I am.

Teachers talk way too slow
I had to go into online school in the middle of my 10th grade year and idk if it’s possible to like take off half the year cuz I had to restart school all over again on this app but it’s ok cuz it’s fairly easy and I can do a lot in one day. My only issue is the English 2 teacher for 10th grade. She talks WAY too slow. The highest speed for videos is 1.5x speed and it literally sounds like she’s talking normally in that speed. You guys definitely need to add a 2x speed option for videos cuz it feels like a huge waste of time. Atleast for the slow talking teachers. AND ALSO ONE MORE THING. There is like zero way for me to actually talk to a real teacher so idk how to ask questions and stuff but i guess i can just google my questions but yea this is just a heads up for anyone getting this app.

Originally I started using Acellus back in 2020. It was so convenient and I could finish a class in a month. Recently they added a feature where after a weeks worth of work you can’t work in that class until Sunday. I’m behind and now I cannot catch up. It also keeps removing steps so classes are becoming even longer. Genuinely it’s such an inconvenience and is SO frustrating. My sister has emailed about this and they completely ignored it. Change this feature Acellus!!!

This app is bad
Do not get this app if you pulled your children out of school and were behind this app will not let you catch up. It makes you feel stupid and it does not do a good job at keeping track of your schoolwork. I really hope the next program I do is much better.😠

i liked it before the update
The new update is horrible! I was on a trip for a couple of weeks and i wanted to catch up. After like 30/35 lessons it tells me i’ve done enough school. Like, i need to catch up, there should be a mode where you’re trying to catch up or something and you say how many days you missed. I also don’t like this as well: write a book should have chapter books/customizable pictures but not like where you put stickers i meant like a canva sort of thing, like where you create your own wallpaper and stickers.
Hate The New Update
I’ve quite enjoyed this program and how it has been so far. However, the new step limit is horrible. You cannot choose the amounts of steps you want to do anymore and it is very frustrating. The ability to do forty steps per week in each class was an amazing thing that is now gone

In my opinion it’s not better than private school but I like it I’m doing it right now it’s a pretty good school but I wish I could raise it to where I was before I joined the school

Good but….
Acellus is a very good school, teaches you where to put comma and everything. There are many glitches though, like when I am done watching video then it replays the video, then when I’m watching a video and it suddenly freezes. Thank you Acellus! Hope you fix the glitches.
Horrible
This app used to be amazing and I was getting through my classes quickly while still obtaining the knowledge and skills. But they keep changing things and making it harder for students to complete classes as they want at the speed they want.
I like this but I am so mad
I spend 20 minutes trying to get tomorrow’s work done too, I’ve done i dont even know how many steps and it still says i have to do work tomorrow. Not happy😫

Worst program
I want you guys to kick me out right now because your program is the worst You guys have the worst teachers, the worst courses and most importantly the worst course of all time algebra either you guys kicked me out or I will go ahead and go bomb the company which one will it be? And you have an AI assistant as my guide what is wrong with you? I always have to do vector instruction because of how hard the questions are and I watch the same video 1000 times during my final exam and during vector instruction. it also randomly kicked me out for no reason when I’m on a course. So this is my message to y’all either you guys kick me out permanently or I will go ahead and go tell my mom to kick me out of this 1940s program which one will it be?!?!?!?!?!?!?

New step limit is irritating
I’ve been using this program for the past 6 years, and I’ve loved it until the recent updates. Before, I believe the 40 steps per week limit was okay, it was enough to get stuff done. Now, I can barely get percentages up for my classes (even if I’m behind on classes) and cannot graduate early like I was looking forward to. If the 40 steps limit comes back, I’d recommend this program to others.
Pretty Solid App
Due to issues, I’ve been behind in school for years. I got this app a year or two ago. I started in grade two, and I’m already in 6th, but even though it teaches you things my parents didn't even know, it is not perfect. I, for one, don’t like that when you take the final exam, even if you only missed one question, you have to redo the 30+ auditions from the whole grade to get 100%. It bothers me because most of the time it wasn't because I got it wrong, it was because I put it in wrong. Like earlier in your lesson, it’ll tell you to do the math, THEN simplify, but after it starts teaching you to simplify before submitting, so after getting in the habit of simplifying first, you decide I get a 94% or lower because I didn't put in the answer before simplifying? I don’t really know, but that’s just my feelings about it, and I don’t have an issue with any other part of the app. I just hope they can change the final exam so we don’t have to do all of the questions again just to get two extra answers correct for 100%

I use this app to do my school work. The social and emotional class is just about submitting to what SOCIETY WANTS!! You aren't happy around your friends?? WELL FORCE YOURSELF TO BE!!! You do not share soneone elses opinion?? NOW YOU HAVE TO!! Not to mention the fact that it gives you questions to trick you and purposely get it wrong!!! DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD DO THIS!!! I do NOT care what anyone says. IT IS A BAD FORM OF ONLINE SHCOOL. It does NOT teach me anything except how to conform to societal standards like a robot, if you do not agree with their standards, then you're wrong!!

Whenever i try to rewind by 15 secs it goes back to beginning ughhhhhhh so annoying anyway

The platform is good and i recommend it for a school but the app constantly logs you out and glitches this happens around 20 times in just an hour which makes it hard to focus.
Expected More
I've been a student at Acellus for the past six years. When I first started, there were no weekly step limits. The platform was easy to use, very accessible, and you could contact teachers if you needed help. You were also able to complete as much work as you wanted, making it easier to stay on track and reach your goals. Now, it's completely different. The 15-step weekly limit is incredibly frustrating. You could be just three steps away from finishing a class, but Acellus won't let you continue until the following week. That can be especially discouraging for students who are trying to graduate on time. My brother was also an Acellus student, and he had a difficult experience when it came to graduating. He was required to complete two additional classes that weren't necessary, which delayed his graduation. Acellus should listen to the students who use the platform every day. Bringing back unlimited steps or at least offering more flexibility for students who are close to finishing a course. that would make a huge difference. The current system creates unnecessary stress and makes it harder for motivated students to make progress. PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR STUDENTS!!

I love acellus academy because it helps me learn the skills I need to graduate. My whole life I have struggled in school 9th grade I passed all my classes but failed all but one star test and needed help order to graduate from high school so I started to do acellus academy since August of last year and it really helped because my gpa is a 3.45 and now I’m a junior in high school. Thank you so much acellus academy for helping me pass 10th grade.
Changed for the worse
This program started out good but each update brings new challenges. Our frustrations started several months ago with videos replaying 3 to 4 times before letting my child continue. I spoke with Acellus who gave suggestions, which we tried but no success with the problem. Then, the program began limiting how much progress my child could make each week. We are using this program to catch up after being out of school several years due to medical reasons. We were told the program is self paced and my son could catch up the last 2 years to join his peers this coming fall. Now the program won’t let him due more than a few hours a week. I called Acellus and they said he can’t progress faster than the school year pace! This was the whole reason we chose this platform! Now, the app is glitching multiple times a day and causing nonstop frustration for both my son and I. We’re saying goodbye to Acellus and switching to a different company. It’s more money but at least we’ll get better quality for the money, do better Acellus!

Great app don’t have any real complaints other then when on mobile if you the screen while watching a video it restarts but you fast forward so doesn’t really matter
Made me feel.. dumb.
It made me feel so stupid like I have to be perfect all the time. And the help videos don’t even help. It feels like, “oh let’s repeat the same video you already watched and send you away” and plus the activities feels the same. I don’t like this school.
Almost perfect
I like the classes, especially as a finance in history classes the sixth and seventh grade teachers w but writing tutor more like help you go insane and break your computer tutor number one it doesn’t give you any creativity always locking you down and I’m fine if it’s like oh you should’ve put a comma there but sometimes I use a word and then it tells me to put a different word there in both words could’ve been used and it says this text is unnecessary like no it’s made me correct errors on writing that Acellus did and whenever I’m writing a large word it usually doesn’t get all of the key presses I put down so I have to rewrite it three times very frustrating. Please fix this and if you write 300 words on a 50 word essay, you should get points and want to be real unless you’re not paying attention re-watching the video is not a good help video and one time I wrote so the plaster does not stick now you put the plaster on and let it dry and it said do you mean the to all of it?☹️☹️☹️☹️😂😂😂😂😂 seventh grade social studies class. They have one about searching and it’s like Bob wants to learn about gardening. What does he look at question cool keyboard question two how to drive a car three cool gardening stuff.

False advertising
When I first started Acellus, their main thing was self-pace, and now it's not. I can only do a couple of steps a week, and it's holding me back from returning to school on time. If I had known this from the beginning, I would have never done it. You all are so inconsiderate, selfish, and liars, and you will end up losing customers with your false advertising. Even when my mom tried to call, your employees sounded like they don't care. Keep this up, and you will lose a lot of people. I regret picking Acellus; they changed.
I love Acellus
Acellus teaches a lot of things like language arts,math,history,emotional learning,and science. They even count grades like kindergarten, grade 1,2,3,4,and middle and elementary schools. They even let us send messages. They also have a robot called STEM. They even have their own school. They even have drills and videos and exams and reviews and questions too. They even have videos made by Roger Blings. I love Acellus.

Overall education is good but, I think this is the most poorly built app I have ever used, crashes every 10-15 minutes, logs you out, and randomly freezes. Every time they fix one issue it causes 10 more.
