Whispering Spirits
Christian parents should know it has stories of magic, and who knows what else. I didn’t stick around to find out. One story had whispering spirits from the forest calling out to a little girl. That was enough for me.
Great skills and what they should add!
This is a really great way to do daily reading and work on your reading skills and comprehension and it has also really helped me with knowing some more facts and my pronunciation but I feel like it would be really useful and amazing if they could do an update to were you can take a picture of a book then get to read that too if you don’t really like the books they have added.

It’s great it’s fun
I like to read in this app is just I’m a very fast reader and sometimes it doesn’t hear the words that I read because I read so fast so sometimes it doesn’t count that I read that so it’s kind of frustrating because I’m a really really really fast reader but it’s great. It’s fun and I like to read.
App has a hard time
This app struggles to read the words correctly itself. It also says my son said letter sounds right when he said something completely different and has trouble understanding when he answers questions. He speaks plainly with no impediments. I’m not sure how it will work for helping teach my already struggling kid. I’m hoping there will be some big improvements, before my free trial is up. I will not be keeping the app otherwise.

It was really good but it was not as good with the part that you have to answer the questions you should add more options if the kids say I don't know instead of making fun of it very nice you should also be able to change the avatar and stuff that will make it cooler

It is a great way of teaching the AI is vary helpful my kids have been learning so much and having a great time in the process 5 stars and do recommend 👍
It doesn’t hear the sounds
My PK reader got very frustrated because it was hearing her correctly.
Convenient app
Love that it allows the child to read out loud and helps with words. But I noticed on homonym words it will use the wrong one sometimes which can be confusing to the child. But great reading app for extra help at home!
Great idea, poorly executed!
This app is so disappointing, the idea is great and could be so helpful. The app just doesn’t work which is such a shame. When my daughter is reading the books, it sometimes allows her to carry on even though she’s said a word incorrectly and it also sometimes doesn’t allow her to continue even when she is saying a word perfectly. This leads to frustration, understandably and my daughter will now not engage. If the app worked I think it could be a brilliant tool. I really like that it has a comprehension quiz at the end of each book. I also like that you can set it to a lower or higher reading age to suit your individual child. Please, please fix the ai’s listening ability! It is like trying to speak to Siri when she first came about.

Absolute garbage
I never leave reviews but this app is the only one ever I felt I had to leave a worth and say it is absolutely overpriced garbage. These other reviews are fake
Good, but needs more fiction
I have a 7 and 10yo who have been using this app for about a month. They both prefer it to reading silently or even reading to me. The feedback as they read is immediate but gentle. They like that they can tap a word to hear it. I believe they are both improving using the app. My main complaint is that they need more books. We would have purchased the year subscription if there were more books. My 10yo is already feeling like he’s running out of fun options.
Not good anymore
To start with i thought it was great, it didn’t understand some words but my children persevered and enjoyed it. They’ve had a little break over the summer holidays and now it won’t understand a single word they say, my daughter has just tried again and it literally understands nothing, she is getting extremely frustrated, so i have cancelled the subscription. If you sort it out let me know because the idea is fantastic.

Errors & confusing
I’ve only had the app 24 hours, but it mispronounce his words like into and says some of the letter sounds with an a sound like instead of b it saids ba…. My daughter has pronounced things correctly or read words correctly and it told her she’s gotten it wrong and made her repeated multiple times. Then she’s gotten words wrong and it’s told her she’s gotten them right. A few times she hasn’t said anything and I told her she got it right. So far they like playing the game, but I’m concerned it’s gonna teach them to read improperly..

Don’t waist your time
This is working for us
My 10 year old is using this daily and is happy to read. This is picking up his reading rate and the highlighting function of the app assists with his punctuation/pausing at appropriate points. Some glitches - eg occasionally stalling on properly pronounced words or accepting a word that’s not quite right, but it’s not impeding his use of the app. Main thing for me is my child is reading more, is happy to use it, and covering new vocab. Whatever upgrades have been made are working, though some further refinement is needed. Australian accent is working.
Good concept bad user experience
We love the idea of this app. My child was very eager to try. But the user experience was terrible. The app is not that accurate at recognising her reading. It’ll either just keep going without correcting her or not hear her and read the words out for her. If they can improve its accuracy then this will be a great app. Right now it’s useless!!! Definitely can’t replace a human yet. The compression part suffers from the same problems too. It can’t hear my child properly and just frustrates her even more!!! I don’t understand why there’re so many raving reviews? Are we doing something wrong?!!!

Well me mom tell me to do it Evey day and it is annoying but it also sends little things to tell you to do it and that’s pretty annoying too I just want a reading app where I can do it when I want and it doesn’t have to remind me to do it so yeah.

Extremely frustrating and no support
Don’t waste your time. The app doesn’t hear correctly which causes so much frustration for little ones, and big ones! Waste of time and money. Support didn’t get back to me on my issue.
Good App
This is a great app for kids who prefer to do things digitally. The only negative I would say is that not all the books held their interest. This may not be true for everyone, but it was for mine. It was especially helpful for my 11-year-old son who struggles with reading and it gave him something different and really did seem to help him make some progress. It also gave me a bit of a break.

Children with speech disorders
My children scream at the app when it does not understand their “R” words. They think it can’t hear them. The same thing happens with the Ello app. As soon as someone figures out how to fix this issue, we will switch to that app. I hope it happens soon!

Not liking it
My kid has used ELLO, and Ello, is sensitive to his pronunciation. It will pick up very quick, jump in and help him. This app seems to “allow” words to be missed and not go back and help him with all the words he has missed. “Which are a LOT” that he misses and the app jist keeps going.
Some issues but kids enjoy it
This is a nicely structured reading app but there are definitely some issues. The app accepts incorrect words as correct in many cases, even when the error is distinctly different from the word presented. We received an incorrect comprehension test that did not relate to the book we had read. The microphone is also too slow to decipher the correct answer in the comprehension portion so my child became frustrated and received ‘incorrect’ even when the response provided was correct. Some tweaks needed but overall enjoyable for kids.

I have so much fun with these books I can read them so easily and get coins by reading them
Usability
My daughter kept hitting the rewind button which was frustrating her. Once she learned what to press, she would get on a roll and it would ask questions then kick her out of the book.
Great reading app
My 11 year old struggles with his reading and we found this and loved it. He reads aloud and it corrects him and he learns. He reads for 30mins every night and we’ve seen such an improvement already. Only negative is, I wish the cost was a bit cheaper
Not very good
It doesn’t pick up your voice when you say something and when you say a word wrong it says you got it right but when you actually say something right you will eat it wrong.

Needs some work
Voice recognition needs some improvement. My son would say the wrong word but as long as the first letter was the same it would consider the word read correctly. Not too impressed.
Family in love!
We just got this app it’s our second day today my boys 7-8-10 years old absolutely loved this app they didn’t even want to stop after the time I set up for them! I will Update later as of how much their reading improves but I can see why it will it’s so enjoyable for them and the follow up questions for the comprehension part is really great too! Best reading app we’ve tried in our homeschooling. I’m telling all my friends to get this!
