Unable to receive verification code
I have an EE UK number, data roaming is on can receive calls and texts from elsewhere but after multiple attempts and checking message spam settings still cannot receive the verification from Yellow Taxi. Same with my partners number (UK 3 network) so unable to register or use the app.
Driver had taximeter already on.
Driver had taximeter already activated and we ended paying 8€ more than we should have. Not sure if they are instructed to do so with tourists, or if it was the driver‘s mistake. We could not solve the issue with the driver because he did not speak any english. The company has done nothing so far.
Scheduled rides
Usually when you schedule a ride, it means you have somewhere to be. This is the second time this happens to me on this app, I make a booking for an early morning ride and no car shows up at the time I put in the booking. The explanation is they start looking for a driver 10 minutes before the booking. Eventually someone did accept my order and everything turned out fine in the end but I nearly missed two trips because of this booking system. The cars are okay, sometimes they’re better, sometimes they’re worse. But to have the option to schedule a ride instead of booking it ASAP should mean you’ll get your booking on time.
It’s getting there
I’ve previously had bad experience with drivers from yellow taxi. But not any more and certainly not any more then you get in the UK for example. This app now works every time for payment and often the trip works out cheaper then the app quotes. It helps keep trust and honesty between the service and clients which is really important. It also helps when you might get a taxi driver who doesn’t know your language, as the app tells them where to go without needing to check with you. It still needs a bit of work with time estimates especially at rush hour. Sometimes the gps tracking is a little behind. Would be great to support tourists who ain’t have BG numbers.

Nonexistent customer support
The app does not recognize the email that has been used in my registration which practically renders the app and its services unusable. I received no help from their customer support call centre - the explanation was that the app support is handled by a foreign company which can only be reached via email and there is no guarantee if/when they would reply and fix the problem. You would be better off just using TaxiMe or a different taxi service.
Useful but be careful
With the app it is very useful in Bulgaria as often the drivers don’t speak English or want to take tourists (especially late at night). Recommend to double check what you are charged before leaving the taxi as on one occasion the driver tried to overcharge us but I emailed the contact centre and they resolved it within 24 hours.

I Gabe the driver 20 and asked him to take 5 leva as a tip , since I already paid on the app , he gave me 5 leva back , so trip cost me the fare plus double 15 leva , poor rating

Changes to show the license plate are bad!
The decision to change the car number displayed in the app from the one printed on the side of the car to the license plate is bad! The license plates are not visible from the side, where the passengers are.

Не е имало момент, в който минутите до пристигаме на таксито да са истина. Локацията на колата на картата се обновява веднъж на няколко минути. Шофьори произволно приемат и после отказват поръчка. Имате шепа лоялни клиенти като мен, но ще ни загубите, ако не вложите някакви пари в това приложение.

There is no way to get the app working
I have been trying to install the App to no avail. I gave my mobile number UK based, but I have never received the code. I have tried via email - same “success” rate. I have no idea what business model this company has implemented but it has nothing to do with efficiency.

The application crashes on iPhone 16e running iOS 15.5 when attempting to add a card. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open the app on iPhone 16e with iOS 15.5 2. Navigate to the “Add Card” section 3. Enter card details and proceed 4. App crashes immediately after submission Please investigate

The driver was not following the shortest path and taking long routes to reach the destination, it’s possible he was not aware of the locality but he was not using any map as well .

Completely unreliable
Used this when in Sofia in June 2024. Compared to apps like Bolt and Uber this service is erratic at best. You are left waiting while the app searches for drivers. Drivers reviewed our trip and declined them 50% of the time. At one point this led us to flag down a yellow cab which then over charged on the meter and also gave us change in a Serbian currency which was very similar to LEV but of much less value. All taxi services in Sofia are not to be trusted. But if you can get an official car from Yellow then usually it can be relied on. A good alternative is the public transport system which is terrific!!

Can’t change payment method
While logged in the app I can’t change the payment method from cash to card. When clicking on ‘add payment method’ it asks for username and password and returns incorrect user and password - how can this be when I’m already logged in? Also, I’m using the same login details - why is it incorrect?
