Very Helpful
It helps me to keep on track on my mood swings, what triggers me and how to deal with them. It’s also helpful to have an overall before talking w my therapist. I would give a tip tho about the widgets to set on my Home Page— they look like it needs some adjustment.
No free trial. Must subscribe to use
I thought I could use the free version of the app. There is no such thing. You’re prompted to subscribe immediately and it’ll be hard to cancel so don’t take that risk. It’s a scummy tactic.
One thing is missing
When selecting thinking traps, as soon as you select one, a dropdown text box should open up underneath so you can fight the trap immediately. When you pick 2 or more, and go to next screen, it’s impossible to remember them all. The two screens need to be combined.

Good app , one small advice
This is such a good that that tracks my mood multiple times during the day. It’s also nice to see an analysis of my mood swing. One small piece of advice is that maybe to add a picture function attached to the mood tracker and memory. It would be even better if we can insert multiple pictures for one mood/memory. Appreciate the time and effort in developing this app.
DO NOT USE FREE TRIAL. NO WAY TO CANCEL IF YOU CHANGE MIND
I knew in 5 minutes this app was not for me. As it was a free trial I would just cancel. Good luck. Developer subscription management takes me to my subscriptions ; however no link for app. In all my years I have never approved a charge for a free trial onl6 to not have an option to cancel. I knew Apple was getting sloppy on protecting users from devious apps but to allow free trials and no option to cancel? That’s promoting theft!
Why?
Why do you have to pay for everything when you have r to pay for this high phone bill. I feel like this app should be free to help people get on track of their feelings.
Need money
It wants you to pay money to get things and help on the app. Literally if I had the money for a therapist I’d literally go to one. I’m broke stop costing money. Lowk not awful tho if your cool w limited features.
good but needs improvements
good app but once you delete it, ALL your entries get lost, no sign in, no nothing, how is it CBT if I can’t see my progress. a lot of good features are paid based unfortunately:(

The app seems great but is almost completely useless without a subscription which they don’t mention at all until your account and app are fully set up. You can still use the app for notes but there seems to be nothing else you have access to unfortunately.
Very Good App, but…
I like the app. It has a simple and helpful Format. The only problem is I’m unable to adjust the negative moods. The app only allows me to move around the positive moods. Is there any way to fix this?
Why are the widgets so broken
Sad that this app is paid for but the widgets have been broken for over a year. The UI has a bunch of black corners like they used incorrectly formatted images. Everything else is fine but this makes me less likely to use the app since i dont like the widget and the widget is the main way id get a remind for a check in
No Updates in 2 Years
I purchased MoodNotes back when you purchased this app outright. Since then, they’ve gone the greedy way of asking for subscriptions. You would think that this would promote more consistent updates. Nope. Granted, the app has been invaluable in my mental health progress, but there seems little interest in making updates, so I may at some point make the break and just use Apple Health to record my moods. It just doesn’t offer the same detail (yet) that MoodNotes offers. I have asked for possible features to be added that would be beneficial to giving the information to your therapist. Nothing.
Very Helpful CBT app!
Even though I see a therapist and work on CBT and ACT techniques, it can be difficult to remember to use the techniques during every day life. With the app I can set a reminder to check in and see how I’m feeling and challenge unhelpful thoughts. Surprisingly, there have been times where the app actually made me stop my negative thought and reframe it which made me feel better. I didn’t think it would really do much when I downloaded it, but I’m pleasantly surprised!
One star for having a “rate 5 star” button
The app is fine, but pushing me to give a particular rating by an interface convention earns an automatic one star review.

Lost Memories
I’ve lost so much documentation of my life from this app. YEARS-worth. Yes, it was set to sync. I’m going back to a medium I can rely on: pen and paper.

This app is a wonderful app to tell your emotions in your moods into think about the questions that have been asked in this app will make you wonder about why and how you do the things that you do and how you become your best self❤️❤️❤️
Constant prompts to subscribe
I downloaded this because I’m depressed at being unemployed and isolated. Immediately it’s asking you to pay every screen. I have zero income and that’s why I feel so bad. A basic version without paywall may convince me to subscribe in future but being constantly asked for money I don’t have made me delete this App very quickly.
Not just a list
I love Moodnotes, to pause a little and reflect, no problem if you miss a day or two. Just catch up when you can. Been writing this now for two years or moor. Very useful to look back as well. 🤗🥳
Apple has similar function for free as part of Health App
Just launch Health App and go to State of Mind. You can set reminders, log mood throughout the day, etc. This app might be good but they need to provide a free one-month trial versus throwing the paywall in your face.

i think u guys should not make that overall average result only for premium. thats what i downloaded it for so i could see all at once how i was feeling over the last month or week and i cant do that without paying money. everything else is great, just change your premium stabdards.😊

Horrible app to use if you are serious about improving or tracking your moods.
Stupid app only lets you log moods once and then force’s you to pay or join the free trial and that’s absolutely ridiculous because I don’t want a premium account. I might as well just keep using Notes🙄
Little expensive
It is a great way to privately express my emotions but there is a lot of expensive extra stuff. If I could change anything on the app I would make more things free and therefor I think the app would get more purchases :)
Probably a good app but it’s not free.
You can only do one emotion log before it locks you behind a paywall. Not a problem but just don’t advertise as free when it’s not.
It’s ok.
The app itself is good in terms of logging your mood. However, as others have said, it is very female oriented and does not represent men’s mental health well at all. The articles are nearly all aimed at women with one even titled ‘why more women suffer from mental health than men’. All the cover photos for the articles are women too. This needs to be fixed as it is emasculating and not representative of all people who suffer from mental health issues.
Measured moods are better moods
Moodapps helps is to get our moods separated from the triggers that influence them and explains some fundamental coping strategies for getting out of those toxic loops that used to could ruin a day for us. Definite thumbs up! Would love to see some improvement in the future. This would also work great for measuring how biased one could be..... Being tired is not necessarily a negative mind state at all times, or is it?

Great app, especially for analysing thoughts but wish you could customise moods and situations.
Terrific way to do some CBT and dictating makes it super fast
I have found CBT to be very helpful but to get the most out of it (at least for me), I really need to write down my thoughts, mental distortions, etc. Historically, paper and pen simply take too long and I quickly fall out of the habit. Moodnotes has been a game changer. Data entry is fast and easy, especially since I can use the dictation feature on my iPhone for the text fields. To top it off, the interface is attractive and uncluttered. Great job!
Requires additional fees/purchases
I just need a simple journal for therapy to keep track of my depression, instead I keep getting berated to try a premium plan, that without, makes the app useless to me.
My opinion about this app and other stuff.
I downloaded this app about two months ago and I hope I don't regret typing this, but I think it was worth it if I am going to be honest. I mean I only started going on it from yesterday but yeah it has helped a bit but I wouldn't say a lot. I still feel really numb and tired but I hope in the future I can feel less of that and get back onto a normal healthy life. If you want to download this app, be my guest, but I honestly suggest buying the premium. You don't have to, but you get more choices and it will probably help you a little more. I hope this helped someone of you decide if you want to download this app or not and have a nice day.
If you pay - it seems ok
I wish it was a one time payment! Can’t afford yet another subscription but it does seem great. Don’t bother downloading if you can’t or do not wish to pay though as it is bare bones and lots of pay walls.
A light free version
I downloaded it and saw that i have 7 days free trial then it has to be subscription based. I would recommend offering a light free version as signing in with subscription expected discouraged me to even try the free 7 days trial.

used to use this app regularly for the basic features. seems thyve been removed and this app now only works with a premium sub. im all for monetization, but wasted time and incomplete records with no warning of revoked features earns it 1 star

Excellent with a few hitches
Excellent and intuitive app. But suffers from jittery-ness when scrolling through a journal entry, and typing an entry is sometimes slow/cumbersome. This wasn’t a problem until the last few updates. Makes the whole journaling experience feel a bit clunky. Reached out to support. Said it was nothing they could do. But other than that, worth the money. This app helps to build insights, understand yourself better, and improve your mental health. Just make sure to journal on a regular basis!

In app purchases are ridiculous
I was so happy when I first found this app but was instantly turned off by the fact you need to pay just to enter in multiple mood checks in a DAY. For someone with many mental illness and is just trying to get on track in life by tracking my moods I find this disgusting. mental illness assistance is already so expensive. Do better.

I love the app, it's accessible and very helpful for tracking my mental health. I also really like the memory function that's been added! One day I would like if there was an option to see all your memories together in one place though!
Missing the point
The new update is a little disappointing. It feels like it misses the point of what made the previous versions great. When you’re feeling low, being overly expressive with your face is one of the last things you’ll want to do. My resting face is also apparently that of a bad mood—I feel fine. This also plays to the notion that how we’re perceived on the outside is how we feel inside. The creepy emoji is unsettling and the selection of faces is not inclusive. Please reconsider this change, it feels damaging.
It’s AWSOME but SCANDAL
From the title u can guess this app is no.1 but it costs £10.99 a month to be able to do everything in premium and if u don’t it’s lit just a diary on a screen with buttons to click what feelings u have but even that dosnt make a difference beacause I don’t have premium. If it could actually show an IDEA of a pattern that would be amazing even without premium but right now it dosnt. I wish it did . Then again if u pay for premium once a month it could lit turn ur world in ur perspective into a better place because it trains ur automatic train of thought not to judge and stuff.
