What people like
- Great for creating vector art
- Perfect for working on the go
- Seamless sync with desktop files
What they complain about
- It crashes and freezes constantly
- Missing many desktop features
- Subscription costs add up fast
- Steep learning curve for beginners
Good
Might seem hard to use, but after you learn how to use the tools it is a very nice app where you can draw freely. You can do whatever you want make the cutest drawings ever and I really like this app. I really recommend you could download one thing you could really add is like maybe like a drawing tutorial where they could like learn how to draw one thing and use experience from that to draw more it would’ve been way more easier, but yes, this is a very good app.
Limited
Super limited
Meh
It’s good but a little hard to use. Sometimes it glitches, and it’s always making stray marks. Also hard to find the right tools.
Beyond Frustrating, and not worth $
I cannot describe how incredibly frustrating the IPad version of this app is. It’s glitchy, crashing constantly. A shortcut that works one day, doesn’t work the next, and all the actions aren’t adequately adapted for touch screen. For example, if you are trying to select within text to change your text, it will automatically switch to the text tool and create a new text field…over and over, until one of the times I touch it, it works. I am resentful of the money I pay for this subscription. I only do the very last steps of editing my work in this app, and even then, simple tasks can take hours. The only reason I use it is that my templates for all my work are in it, and I’ve never had the time to recreate those in another program.
Too many glitches
The app keeps freezing and I have to close out the entire app to keep working on the project.
Learning curve but fun.
A bit of learning curve, but fun to use on the go. Get the job done on the move.
Busted
It shuts down every time I open a file.
Fresco
Constant Crashing
Why is this app shutting down without warning? I’ve lost so much progress when it suddenly closes ver and over again. So frustrating!
Few features and setting
I am looking to migrate from desktop to tablet. You should add more features because the processing power of iPad is extremely high. Moving layers is very bad. It should be easy to move by grabbing the design layers. Or define a shortcut for the shift button to change the image size without changing the scale. I hope more features will be added in the future.
Huge Fan
Have been an illustrator user since 88. Of all of the adobe programs this is by far my favorite. Knowing it so well it was easy to learn other programs in Adobe.
Great (when it was free)
But I'm not paying Adobe to train their ai on my work.
Very slow
The vector drawings is very slow, takes a long time to open any tool for drawings.
Please fix
Crashes every time I open a file or star something new
Plz add size tool,
Please, new update, add down size tool because of helpful for four is way to ground plan, sizes included artwork, plot
App keeps crashing
Wouldn’t recommend
Tiff format unavailable
I am unable to download the files in tiff. Moreover why am I suppose to buy two different illustrator for desktop and iPad
Freezes
I upgraded my iPad to prevent freezes to the 13"pro 1 tb model. Still freezes.
Buggy
Program crashes when attempting to rename a layer. Very annoying. Otherwise, a good piece of software. I have a high bar for Adobe products and expect there to be much fewer bugs.
Good app
Lets make it easy
Never worked for my iPad bye to my 9.99$
App kept crashing after selecting and choosing a task. Ended up deleting and once they charge you there was no return for the monthly subscription
Great but …
Love giving it a try to this classic app. Love the tooling, the overall experience and how fast you can do things. The but is based on some bugs that are still quite annoying and that can make things very complicated, specially with layers. Most of the times the layers won’t get selected properly after creating objects or will freeze. Also it will be nice that every time you clone a board it will create new layers for the new elements

Crash queen
Program crashes quite a bit.
They are improving day by day
First of all, I want to thank this team for providing a stable version. It now handles large and complex illustrations without crashing. I would be grateful if they added the feature of “Live paint bucket”.
Change made it unstable
What ever you did Adobe you made this program unusable, before I was don’t multi-layered starship cutaways, now it will not load the art board, just crashes. Completely unusable. AND YOU STEAL ART!
Good app but more desktop features
More desktop like are needed. Please make it feature rich and one time purchase
Freezes after minimizing
The app seems to freeze whenever I minimize and return to it. Needs to be force closed and restarted to correct it. Otherwise love it when I’m working.
Buggy and lacking desktop features, but still effective.
I have used illustrator for a longtime on my desktop, and just made the switch to my iPad. I expected more from the app honestly- but it isn’t terrible. I like how intuitive it is, and how it is a simple interface. However, it is missing some key features and tools, and it glitches quite a bit (I have the most recent update on a brand new ipad, so it is an issue with the app) which can get a little annoying. However, with all of that being said, I still prefer illustrator over the other apps out there. I just feel like Adobe is a bit behind on their apps for tablets. Hoping the next update fixes these issues!
Great illustration
Very good to use
Fix 9th Gen issues!
My Adobe Illustrator service that I PAY for has stopped working. Apparently this is a known iPad 9th Generation issue you haven’t fix. I need this for my business!
Impressive features but buggy
A lot of great features to love in this app, but often crashes; lot of bugs. Color picker doesn’t work when in need. Please fix and provide stability.
Too mid
The app doesn’t tell you it isn’t free until after you download it. Ugh. I swear they’re just doing that to get downloads and make the app look good even though it’s not.
It freezes.
The iPad version freezes quite often and disrupts my work flow…
Good software but pathetic subscription interface
I absolutely love Adobe illustrator but am unable to renew my subscription due to a rather loopy and faulty interface.
Crashes
Crashes when importing pics into document. Tried rebooting and redownloading app. Nope
Quite impressive
Overall i love how easy it is to work on iPad but, sometimes the app hangs, becomes slow and few features does not work smooth. Hope the feedback helps to resolve this issue.
Freeze
Working with pencil it would freeze to where I have to hard restart.
La version sur le IPad est pas assez complète
Il me manque beaucoup d’option que j’avais sur mon ancienne version sur l’ordinateur
Easy and powerfull
Its so easy to make vector art but little limitations
So many bugs
Bug riddled nightmare app, get a drawing tablet instead
love it but..
I really love the freedom it gives and the fact that it’s very crisp but i’ve often noticed that it crashes without a warning…sometimes it lags as well and that’s very tough to get through with a touch interface cause the pencil does not have precision at that time. Is would also be great to have mouse enabled and palm rejection. I would love to work on this with a mouse as well. Need palm rejection because it sometimes messes up everything if i’m not careful.
Add redraw paths
Pencil tool doesn’t redraw paths like on the desktop version, making this pretty useless on my iPad. I’ll stick to the desktop version or other apps
Crashing while exporting to PSD
The app is good, as of now, but it’s lagging certain times. I am using an iPad Pro and the app is crashing whenever I’m exporting as psd to photoshop app or Procreate directly. Kindly look into that.
VERY GOOD GOOD APP……….
I LOVE THIS APP SO MUCH…………VERY PRODUCTIVE APP…
Unusable
Crashes every 10 seconds, have been waiting for a month for them to fix it. Don’t waste your money on a subscription
Almost there
I love adobe illustrator. Thanks for bring the app but I would like you guys to let us edit the path with Pencil tool. The only thing I ask is this one little request! Rest can come later :)
Disappointing
The app have a lot of issue -apple pencil pro is not considered for writing features -crash a lot -a lot of feature not available -donʼt subscribe if you want to work on iPad with illustrators
One time buy
It’s a a perfect app/Software what I am looking for illustration, calligraphy , typography as in Procreate we can’t use proper vector drawings Please make it one time buy One thing more I like to add as I am using now there is no custom made brush panel available like I used to create brush style or custom brushes for my calligraphy. Or illustration work. It's a request you guys pls add some features to create custom brushes
