Fraudulent Scheme
With one day’s notice, they canceled the Body and Soul Gym, for which I recently signed up for a 2-year membership. I asked if I could get out of the contract, but no: I have to pay the full two years, even though I can’t use the gym anymore. They told me I should go to other gyms, but the ones they have don’t offer what I’m looking for (close, with sauna). What a rip off!

concept cool, app sucks
the app is designed poorly, it’s hard to find what you’re looking for. But the most annoying part is that it keeps sending (and billing me for!) no-show notifications for classes that I attended and where I correctly checked in. The process to get that reversed is annoying and time-consuming and there doesn’t seem to be an actual customer support.
Einteilung der Check ins
Schade, dass man immer den Check in verliert, wenn man einen Restday macht, es wäre besser, wenn man 30 check ins im Monat hat und die so einteilt, wie man es gerne möchte.

I don’t know what I would do without urban sports, keeps me fit and sociable. I love it!!
False advertising
On top of you not getting the same privileges in gyms that members of these gyms get, there’s actually a cap on the amount of times you can even use urban sports to enter each place. Total false advertising and expensive as HELL.
Mehr soziale Funktionen wären super!
Ich bin grundsätzlich sehr zufrieden mit der Urban Sports Club App und nutze sie gerne. Einen Wunsch hätte ich allerdings noch: Es wäre toll, wenn man Freund:innen auf der Plattform folgen könnte und anschließend sehen würde, welche Kurse sie gebucht haben. So könnte man sich unkompliziert gemeinsam für Kurse anmelden oder spontan dazubuchen. Ich glaube, das würde die App noch attraktiver machen und auch den sozialen Aspekt von Sport stärker fördern. Daher von mir 4 Sterne – mit diesem Feature wären es wahrscheinlich 5!
Standortsuche funktioniert nicht
Seit Jahren funktioniert die Standortsuche nicht. Bsp.: Obwohl ich ein Studio bereits in meiner Favoritenliste gespeichert habe und regelmäßig Kurse besuche, ist es nicht existent in der Standortsuche. Gleiches gilt für andere Studios. Es kann doch nicht sein, dass dieses Problem seit Jahren nicht gelöst werden konnte. Kümmert euch endlich darum und behebt es!
Super Konzept aber...
Das Sportangebot und das grundsätzliche Konzept von Urban Sports Club sind ausgezeichnet. Leider gibt es aber ein großes Problem bei der Nutzerfreundlichkeit: Bei vielen Anbietern lassen sich Kurse nicht einfach direkt über die App buchen. Beispiel Stadthafen Leipzig: Hier bleibt für mich völlig unklar, wie bzw. wo ich überhaupt einen Kurs buchen kann. Solche Umwege und offenen Fragen sind unnötig nervig und passen nicht zu einer ansonsten sehr guten App. Eine einheitliche Buchungsmöglichkeit direkt über Urban Sports wäre eine deutliche Verbesserung.
Sync with calendar
If they could add the feature of including the booking into google calendar as opposed to only Apple calendar! Would be much better

I formally cancelled MULTIPLE times. They kept trying it charge me. Now I get an email that my case is handed over to debt collection! Incredible. Truly disgusting business practice.

Würde gerne Sachen die mir gefallen könnten durch nen Algorithmus vorgeschlagen bekommen. Man kann nur explizit nach Sachen suchen mit Schlagwörtern oder in der Umgebung
Keine Benachrichtigungen
Es gibt seit Monaten einen Bug der einfach nicht gefixt wird. Es gibt einfach keine Benachrichtigungen mehr über Wartelistenplätze. So dass man immer selbst super oft nachschauen muss ob vll. noch was frei geworden ist. Das Problem ist leider nicht vereinzelnd sondern haben einfach alle die ich kenne mit dieser App.
Raum für Verbesserung
Ich liebe das Konzept von Urban Sports, aber die App lässt wirklich zu wünschen übrig. Heutzutage ist doch so viel möglich, da möchte man meinen, dass ein gutes Konzept einer App easy geht (v.a. wenn man sich die steigenden Beitragspreise ansieht ;)) . Hier meine Verbesserungsvorschläge: - Verbindung mit Freunden möglich. (keine Chats oder so, aber zu einem Kurs einladen und sehen wohin die Freunde gehen) - Die Profile von den Trainern ausbauen. Bisher steht dort nur ein Vorname. Ich denke, wenn man es den Studios selber überlässt, dass die da ihr Infos eingeben (z.B. Foto, Ausbildung/ Erfahrung/ Stil), wär das kein Ding. - Ich kann nur die Studios bewerten, nicht die einzelnen Kurse und kann auch nichts dazu schreiben. Sowas ginge ja auch per drop-down menu (wir mussten uns dafür jetzt ne geteilte Notiz anlegen, damit man weiß, zu wem man NICHT gehen sollte und wer der Hammer ist. Ich glaube würden die Trainer und Studios ehrliche Rückmeldung bekommen, würde das die Qualität der Kurse steigern) - die „Neuigkeiten“ Page ist einfach schlecht, überhaupt nicht auf mich zugeschnitten und das meinst ist nicht mal neu... Das Suchen von Kursen und Studios ist schlecht gemacht (teilweise findet man Studios so gar nicht). Bitte bitte bitte nehmt die Kritik an und ändert was, liebes Urban Sports-Team. Und vielleicht spendiert ihr der IT Abteilung einfach mal ein extra Budget, um das in Ordnung zu bringen :)
Changed my life.
I used to have a gym subscription before this. And call it monotony, but it took a lot for me to be excited about being regular. Urban sports changed that for me. For the past 2 months, I’ve tried out many forms that would’ve been out of reach for me. I explored how Yoga was something I loved, cold baths that changed how I felt after a shower, and so much more. Also the late fee, although stinks - is such a great tool to keep you from cancelling. There’s always a few things the app can do better on, but I love the product and the experience. Can’t recommend it enough!
Does not show available courses or venues
Unusable. Just updated and the listings on the app in *no way* match the number and type of courses and venues on the web site. So buggy. Y’all, the app has two jobs: to find courses and check in. And if you can’t find a course you *know is happening* then check-in is moot.

Needs improvement
On the whole the app does what it needs to do but I don’t understand why they made it so hard to search for specific types of workout. For example I want to see which prenatal or pregnancy classes are available in my area but the search function gives no results, you have to click into each studio’s schedule and look through the classes each day. Another essential function that is lacking is the ability to bookmark specific classes so that you can save them for later without actually booking them yet.

Love the service, app needs work
I find discovery to be clunky and inefficient in the app. Searches and parameters are not saved, and you never get spontaneous inputs or updates that something new and exciting related to your preferences is available. In fact, I don’t get the sense any preference is saved. There’s no ability to have more efficiency in the flow I used every day which is checking in at my favorites. Every time I go to a service provider I still have to pick what I’m doing. I do functional fitness at Crunch fit wedding every couple days and that flow remains super painful … validate my location is nearby and just let me do this in one click. Saving things that aren’t courses is also a mess. Finally, in what is clearly a deliberate design decision, you can’t freeze/pause membership in the app. Why not? Feels just cheap. Again, I am forced to consider why and it doesn’t feel like the app is thinking about me as a long term relationship but rather a user to trick for one more month accidental membership. I value the service offering though, and I think all these things are correctable and possibly unintentional, so I’ll review and update this if I see improvement on all 3 issues.
Amateur level app
The app is absolutely terrible but perhaps it is made by a small team without UX designers. Or perhaps nobody that works at this company has ever tried to use the app. For example if you want to find a venue on the map it won’t show up if you search by name unless you adjust the zoom which is an insane UX decision that makes zero sense. Why would a user want to zoom around on this aweful map with tiny markers to try to find venues? If I type the name it should just come up - this is incredibly basic UX that whoever designed or product manages this app seems to not understand at all. Even worse is that if you do set the correct zoom then it still doesn’t automatically show up unless you click on a tiny map marker! Just incomprehensible how a company could make a UI that is so unbelievably poorly designed. Any 13 year old kid or AI agent could design something better in under a day.

Es ist toll, dass man je nach Lust und Laune Kurse buchen kann und somit vieles ausprobieren kann. Hatte bisher keine Probleme Kurse für mich zu finden und zu buchen
Bring back old app
I liked the old version better, please bring it back! The new one looks so generic and with no pictures, plus the fact everything is scroll based now is annoying
Gender bias
It's very strange that a women's membership costs the same as a men's, considering that women miss a week of visits due to their physiology. There should either be a discount for women or an additional seven days added to the membership.

disgrace of an app with bad customer service
usc is the reason why studios cannot survive independently. for a start up with vc money they could hire better developers for an app that’s not garbage and always coming up with errors at check in or an absolutely awful search. two thumbs way down. being limited to one check in is greedy and any help from their support team is slow and unhelpful, always blaming you, the user.

Not enough accesses
Only allowing me to enter the gym I live near 8 times a month for quite a high monthly price simply doesn’t make sense. Paying the gym for a membership costs less

Worst designed app I use
The only reason why I use this app, is because I actually genuinely like Urban Sports. But the design and usability of the app is an absolute disgrace for a modern “start up”. You should rebuild everything from the ground up - if you can’t do it yourself find a good agency, invest some money, and fix this. There is so much potential but this is shameful how un-usable the app is. If you don’t fix this soon I might cancel my subscription.
Rude communication
Very rude in the way they communicate if you had a problem and couldn’t make it, even if you got hit by a bus they don’t care they will charge you. Inhumane communication.
Lots of errors and no visibility of friends schedules
Really miss the functionality of onefit where you can see which classes your friends are taking. Training can be made social. Also lots of ‘something went wrong’ errors when bookings class
Great service with a terrible app
Love my membership, but the app stinks. Filter function and venue search consistently don’t show results that are perfectly easy to find on the website, which means you need to favorite or schedule them there just to find them in the app.

For me the clarity could be better . It’s difficult to find specific courses .

terrible customer service. Gets back to you in 5 business days. Does not refund you, if you provide photo proof that the partners location is closed. Leaving my membership.
The Membership is good
I really like my membership. The app is OK. Please stop asking me to review every single workout I do. The prompt is just annoying
App is a trainwreck
First off, I love the concept of urban sports. However the app has some serious navigation, filtering flaws that I really hoped USC would fix.Ultimately, I spend about as much time browsing Urban Sports for my next activity than I do actually doing them. This needs to stop or else I'll just cancel my subscription.
Broken QR codes
Latest update have broken QR codes checkin experience. I have to wait in average 2 minutes and retry QR code generation multiple times. Please fix or stop providing this check in option.

Hard navigation
I think the app is a mess. It’s hard to filter what is available and when. Also I wish I could sort out things better and easy, it takes a while to find a matching class and I can’t add many courses to the schedule - please improve!

Hard to figure out
The app makes it near impossible to figure which membership will let you in where and how often. It’s equally hard to find it on their website. There doesn’t even seem to be a search. Seems like the easiest thing to do is Google the gym and urban fitness. An overemphasis on discovery, seems like. Hoping for a fix!

New update terrible
Hey guys - this is a fantastic idea but why the changes to the app? It used to be so easy to filter activities on the map but now it's a mess and incredibly difficult to see what is and isn't in my area based on the selected filters. Please make updates to this soon. It's terrible from a user experience.
