Flight Simulator
Airmate is a great addition to my msfs24 simulator setup. It lets me easily find the information to enter into my GNS 530 for both VFR and IFR flights. Highly recommended.
Worthless
Never got past the “activate free membership” screen. Before doing anything, it demands this information, so I filled it out, carefully and accurately, and then hit the “activate” button. Nothing happened. Hit it again. Nothing. Force-quit the app, opened again, same deal. Might be a great app, if it worked.

Needs a little more coding
It looks promising and a helpful addition to a pilot’s library. Needs more work on deleting your account and starting over if you forget a password or a robust way to recover your password. So the basic program is great. Account management I would say is below average.

Since one single update the app has failed me. 2 minutes of use and the app completely freezes. Cannot get an accurate location. Pretty disappointing.

The app is randomly crashing on my iPad and iPhone.

Bon point pour les mises à jour automatique. Cependant, en vol, les différentes zones ne sont pas suffisamment claires. Les délimitations sont avec des traits trop petits et je n’ai pas trouvé encore le réglage de ces paramètres.

O No longer flying but using AirMate to keep me engaged. Very intuitive and user friendly, no hassles. I wonder how they do it. Thanks for keeping my head busy at no cost

Crashes when you use certain departures.
If devs are reading, select KPIE runway 36 as departure and it will crash the app. Tried two different devices and same result. I tried different SIDs but they all crash it.
THE BEST THING IVE SEEN
i use this app for simulators. this is literally all i could ask for. charts, flight planning, diagrams, approach plans, departure plans and much more that i haven't even had the time to check out, and the absolute cherry on top is most of its features are free. FREE. SINCE WHEN DO U SEE A APP THAT IS THIS DETAILED AND FREE??!! i absolutely love this app and wish more aviation enthusiasts knew abt it. plz never change. first ever review on a app that i have felt the need to make if that holds any weight. good day!!

Guess it’s a scam they want to send you a code to activate then nothing happens after you put it in

30 year pilot and could not get a route loaded and displayed. Looks like has a lot of great features just have to figure out access them.
Okay but has bugs
This app has worked most of the time until I needed to fly out of Edmonton Alberta itnl. Unlike other airports the second I select CYEG for Edmonton to set as origin the app crashes every time. Has to use another planner :(
Great aviation app
I fly VFR in the Rocky Mountains of Western Montana and Northern Idaho. This app works great, easy to use, accurate, consistently updated and it’s free! What more could you ask for! I give it 5 stars!
wont let me make an acc
i keep pressing the thing to make an account and it wont work i restarted the app i deleted it and downloaded it back and i keep pressing it and it wont do nothing and its making a little animation or whatever but it wont do nothing
Good but still buggy
Good app, but still a bit buggy… (F.e. Not being able to scroll down in the summary page when creating a flight, among a couple other weird ones like incorrect distance to fuel usage calculations.) But overall, pretty good app.
Peu de stable
Trop de plantages, pendant les mises à jour, mais aussi en cours d’utilisation. C’est quasiment systématique.
Buggy
I like it, buts it’s constantly crashing. Settings don’t persist. If I set gps off, simulation always, every time I come back in, the gps switch has gone back on and it does not get detected. Often when editing a flight plan, or clicking the fly now, it will just exit. Very different experience to what I have seen with competing efbs and I don’t think I’d trust this when flying IRL.
Great app for navigation and charts
Best aviation app

1. App closed several times when entering route and aircraft configuration and equipment - mostly when trying to drag the pink route line over an airport or other navigation point. 2. Difficult to learn how to overlay a geo-ref’d instrument approach plate onto map at destination. I can only poke around until I stumble onto the data block that has the line to tap that overlays the plate. 3. Have not found a way to display Bearing to Next and Track. These are the minimum essentials for flying a cross country flight plan. Foreflight lets one enter several parameters in a bottom line below the map. 4. Have not found how to display a Navigation form showing Beari ng to waypoints, distance, and time — for each leg of the flight plan, and cumulative distance and time. 5. On my desktop computer I went to the AirMate website and started watching the Get Started video-not at all helpful.
Where are the sectionals?
I am trying to plan a 900 mile cross country flight. The only sectional I see is the New York sectional. I’ve written for help and get no response.

It seems to be a handy and practical app but it crashes every time I try to download IFR Enroute :(
Best (Free) Flight Planning Software on the Market
I typically use this to plan routes in Microsoft Flight Simulator. However, that does not stop its superior accuracy and ability to achieve what i want it to. Highly recommend this app if you do not wish to pay for a monthly subscription to other applications of the same quality(i.e. ForeFlight, Garmin Pilot, etc. Overall a very good free flight planner that is a must for any aviation enthusiast, simulator pilot or professional.
No response for activation code
Tried to activate the app twice and failed to receive an activation code. I did get a lot of spam, but no code.
A bit buggy but works in a pinch
It’s pretty decent. I’ve experienced a few crashes and loading up all sectionals has resulted in my iPad freezing a lot. But it gets the job done overall.
Good but has flaws
The airports are unsearchable under the Edit tab for the “From” and “To” entry boxes. Does suffer from occasional crashes.
Unable to see vfr georeferenced plates option at an airport
Unable to see vfr georeferenced plates option neither can I see the airport diagram when I zoom into an airport. This is for all plates in United States. Only ifr plates are visible in options and only they can be georeferenced onto the map

Flight plan editing
I can’t seems to find a way to rubber band the flight plan. Now that this product ties in with Dynon I’d like to switch over from FF but not being able to rubber band is making it difficult.
Unable to download charts
I’m unable to download any charts with a notification to try again later. Also I bought the pro version and after reinstalling the app hoping to fix the chart issue, now it is telling me to repurchase the pro version.
Lots of potential, but not made for the iPhone 12 or Maxx editions.
Excellent app, with tonnes of potential, however……. As a Paragliding and paramotor pilot, this app is fantastic for planning, but not actually flying with. The app was not made for the iPhone maxx, the buttons slide to one side when horizontal and are tiny and simply unusable with gloves on. I have emailed the developer with some suggestions and highlighting the issue, which will be the same for all pilots using the app horizontally, but I didn’t get a response, and subsequent update haven’t fixed the issue. Till it’s fixed, it’s a 2-3 star app for me!
Great app! Just one question…
I love this app, even though I’m not a pilot, I like to use it for the airport diagrams. However I have one question, can I use this on MSFS2020? If so it would be really useful

AirMate looks very promising
I’ve not tried this in actual flight yet but from the ground it looks quite nice. I’m looking for alternatives to ForeFlight since they increased pricing by 25% this year (thanks Boeing!) I just a private instrument rated pilot and this app may have enough of what I need so that I can kick ForeFlight to the curb. I will revise my review after use inflight.
Update 5 tries later
Downloaded and first step of registering and getting sign-up code is not working. I tried requesting text I tried email and there is no response. Does anybody know if this app just disappeared off the face of the earth? My error. My email provider decided not to send me those codes. So now I I will try and use this thing and see how it works. OK, five tries later I’m still trying to figure this thing out. I am not the sharpest tack in the box but I tried to go back and edit a flight and it wants all kinds of information required before it will let you change anything like even label it. I did one flight I know was at 4:30 to 5:30 PM and when I look at it it was done the correct day but it was 830 to 9:30 PM. I cannot find a time change in Settings so I’m assuming it’s getting it from GPS. My iPad knows what time it is. I don’t know why the app does not. I can’t seem to figure out how to add alternate emergency airfield or landing places once I have picked a destination. When I tried to edit, my origin and my destination were the same as I was doing touch and goes, and it would not let me go past that point as it would not give me a place to put the destination airport when I put in the same one. So I’m lost on figuring that one out. I guess I kind of wish there was a class. The manual tells you some things but for some reason I am a very literal person and I’m looking for exact words on exact lines with the explanation or definition remaining the same from one place to another and sometimes that just doesn’t happen these days.When I try to enter my aircraft I get nowhere. It asked for ICAO type and it will not take which of control. I looked on the Internet and there are all these aircraft listed. Hundreds of them. I can’t find mine. So I can’t get through that form either. And then we move to entering the stuff to configure aircraft. At the end is the survival configuration and since I have nothing it says it will suggest things at the end to fill in the blank automatically. It leaves the blank left empty so you can’t save. it goes back to the survival question and answers and whether you pick yes or no it won’t let you finish without putting something in the box and it doesn’t like what I put in it as a zero and it doesn’t suggest like the initial screen says ———-this goes back to my earlier statement about being a literal person and I read something like this where it says it will fill it in at the end if you follow along and answer questions. And it does not do that. This is ultimately too frustrating for me and it happens all the time these days. It seems like committees are made and they don’t talk to each other. It’s pervasive everywhere. It prevents me from doing a lot of things and this app is just one example. Is it just me? It will not save the page of information on my aircraft. So I’ve been here another 45 or 15 minutes hopping around looking at things and trying to get some things done and I’m just not having much luck. Pretty soon it will drop another star. It is a simple aircraft. It is a trike. 12–6-20. Update. It’s still thinks it’s 9 o’clock at night when it’s 5 o’clock in the afternoon. I cannot find anything in settings for it to fix the time. I guess I’m just gonna have to move to something else. In the advanced section the bottom line to tap on Maintenance does not show in either landscape or portrait positions on the iPad. I’m just not having any luck with this. Sorry y’all.
Really good. Just a small request.
Was a great app, until I accidentally deleted it and reinstalled it and now there’s no option to retrieve my existing login details and I cannot remember them, and of course it won’t let me log in as anything new because my email is latched to my existing account ! When I search for a waypoint and press to ‘centre’ it, the waypoint doesn’t show up on the map with a triangle, or even it’s name. So, although you know the map is centred on that waypoint, you still can’t see it. So if you zoom in you lose it.
Use this for msfs !!!
