Easy to use app
Lots of options for color and easy interface!
It won’t let me use the app
So..it’s not working for my ipad and it refuses to let me back into my account >:( it wont even work for the website and it’s extra annoying.
Tbh it realistically exceeded my expectations
It’s worth it. A lot of tools and features once you get used to the workflow. 4 out of 5 stars. Would recommend
It's less engaging now, for a few reasons
Ok. So, this app used to be my FAVORITE app. Until you changed the post interface and added notes. The new interface of posts is SO UNCOMFORTABLE. I don't want to have to press a button to see the comments, AND.. the notes are COMPLETELY WORTHLESS. I like this app still but, it just lost its shine. It's best days were 2021 tbh. BUT! there are ways you could fix it COMPLETELY! add sound! Like add from video or files or maybe ITunes! But anywayss!! Luv you developers, this is just feedback, I'll always have a soft spot for dotpict.
suggestion..?
so, ive found using the push button on mobile hard, and its also slower. so.. ive decided to make a suggestion. maybe could you remove the push button, and wherever you drag the pencil, it will start drawing. when you dont, its not drawing. thanks! please use my suggestion in one of ur other updates.
PREMIUM DOESNT WORK
I am trying to use premium that I paid for to use a canvas from an image and it takes my money but does not let me use the premium features. PLEASE FIX!!!
An Amazing App, However…
I have enjoyed my time on dotpict, it’s really an enjoyable little app. Many of the people on the platform are very nice, which can be a breath of fresh air for many. However, many issues have cropped up as time progresses. The app is very strict on what is considered “pixel art” and may take down your art with an added 3-day suspension without notice or reason. Newer updates have rendered the app useless on any iPhone older than Gen. 8, which is massively disappointing as I can’t even log in anymore. If it weren’t for those major issues, dotpict would be receiving a 5-star review, but the most I can give is four. UPDATE: I got the app to work on my older iPhone, thanks to the new updates, but I have another issue to address. The “featured” section of dotpict is extremely biased, making it hard to be properly recognized. Unless you make anime art, detailed backgrounds, animations, or follow daily prompts, there is little chance that your art will make it up there.

Good but some problems
This is the best pixel app I’ve found, but there’s a limited color palette and your drawings don’t transfer from device to device been when using the same account, another problem is the max layers you can have is 5 unless you buy premium, waay to little amount before paying, also when buying premium the app sometimes just refuses to give the rewards to you. Also the app is extremely glitchy on iPad which needs to be worked on, sometimes it will zoom or unzoom for no reason and when hitting the back button it won’t always keep up and you won’t know how much you undid until you draw again, there’s also no way to leave the canvas your working on without reopening the app. Also a smaller problem is it will still draw with your hands even if you have “only draw with apple pencil” in the ipad settings which would be something which is annoying and would be nice to be fixed
Lovely pixel works!
I love the cursor, helps with getting small details and planning out my art work! In addition to that, I like how we can use other pixel apps to get bigger pixel canvases ( that still keep the art pixel) which would be lovely if it was already in the app (just a suggestion).
Scammed me for premium
I paid for premium twice and didn't recieve it. The first time I bought it I was banned immediately without reason, and the second time I bought it the purchase just didn't work. I contacted support and they basically told me it was my problem and they aren't going to do anything. Watch out before buying premium.
Best free app for pixel art
The only thing Im wondering about it onion skin option for animation, but overall this app is very good for pixel artists of all skill
よくわからない
模写をしている人は沢山いるのになぜか自分だけアカウント停止させられたり、、 正直なとこよくわかんないです。 少し厳しすぎやしませんかね？
Great app!... with a few minor problems
This app is great! Very concise and easy to use/understand layout. The community feature is really neat! A few issues, though. When using a larger resolution, the zoom in feature doesn't work very well, in that it doesn't accurately zoom in on where you want. This may be a personal issue, but when a profile edit was attempted for the first time, it gave an error message, and the edit couldn't be saved. This happened multiple times. It only appeared after a post was made. And as a more of suggestion: users should be able to set their own palette easily and immediately. Great app but with a few minor issues.
I genuinely love this app
It’s super easy to pick up for beginners and on top of that a super active and kind community better then any other art social I’ve used only downside is sometimes the arts kinda dry other then that it’s amazing 10/10
Unjust Deletion
I thought it would be fun to join the dotpict community, but over half of my art was removed for “non-pixel art content”, which is absolutely ridiculous. I spent hours drawing to post them and they deleted them, I even have video evidence on my ipad that I drew these. I guess this app doesn’t trust anyone who doesn’t want to use their horrible interface to draw which was integrated into the app. Will not use this app again. As for customer contact, I don’t want to waste my time on that to renew any art.

Update deleted my works?
I had a bunch of unpublished works in the drafts part of my account, but when I updated the app they were all deleted. Gone from my account and everything. The new updates are helpful and all, but why did my art have to be deleted for it??
I like this.
It makes it really easy and fun to draw/animate pixel art on mobile devices, only problem is that the background cant be drawn when making animations, but I'd say its a 9/10, would recommend! 👍
Accounts are too permanent.
I spent so long on my old account, I had character designs and concepts I was so happy with and planned to use in a game at a better time. But I can no longer access that account can I? Once you make an account it’s permanent, if you lose the password you lose the account forever. You can’t change the password. I will not be recommending this, this had so much potential but I cannot deal with the permanent loss of years worth of art, it is an absolute dealbreaker.
I love it. (FOUND AN ISSUE
I always wanted to get into pixel art and this was by far the best option I ever picked. I love this app. NOW FOR THE ISSUE. Wherever I go it shows the error 003 message, and I don’t know how to fix this.
付了钱结果还是没给解锁功能
进去一直加载，什么都进不去广告也加载不出来，只能用普通的模式画画
Crashing
Whenever i try to use the selection tool the game crashes. Please fix! 🥰👍😩
The pixel art app I use as a game dev.(Also Feature request)
I love this app the premium features are perfect for my game development needs. ( being able to tweak entire animation pallet colors all all at once is amazing)The only feature I feel like it is missing is a way to save multiple frames all at once. When my character animations get to be 20 plus frames and each frame takes multiple clicks to save it does slow things down a lot. Also I am a premium user but giving free users the ability to try features after watching a add would probably be a win win for both the users and the app developers.
Good but contact us never works
Contact us horrid, they have never contacted me back about anything and have just never responded. I’ve gotten restricted from posting as two of my art pieces counted as “not pixel art” when it was. They seem to not care about their contact us system and have no other forms of contacting them unless I guess you go to their Twitter. It seems they only repost and not care about actually contacting people who weee unfairly banned. I find it bothersome I can’t contact someone who could actually help me because they don’t care about that, if they use a bot to check photo art it’s extremely messed up as I post art that has pixels and is actual pixel art that gets unfairly banned but others get to stay up.
Please please please
Please please please add a adult feature please my friend wants to draw gore and I want to do un-clean things please please pleaseee

Great but a problem
Many including me got banned for no apparent reason, could this be a mistake? Maybe an accidental ban? Or an admin abusing the ban? Please just unban the people who did nothing to provoke the community

Laggy interface
Although this app is fun to work with, I do wish that the interface was more friendly with touch operations. For example, undoing mistakes takes around 3 whole seconds (as it seems though its lagging out), and when zooming in/out on my canvas, the screen will then proceed to bug out; it just shifts to a lot of places where I don't want it to be, and also lags, just like the undo feature, which might explain the bugging. Hopefully I’m wishing that some of these issues get fixed soon! :) Also I apologize if this doesn’t make any sense. I haven’t written a proper review in ages!
Your best (and only) option for pixel art on an iphone
Constantly updated with new features and tools. Been using this app for three years and as far as i can tell it works just as well (if not better) than any program you could get on a computer. I can't afford a computer as I've never owned one and know nothing about them but for 4$ a month dotpict is very reasonable price wise too. The only downsides as far as i can see are that if you violate the guidelines you may lose your artwork and that if you don't pay the 4$ a month for premium the app is riddled with adds.
Bruh this app sucks
The fact that you can’t even make a new account after your first one is banned in a ban wave.Like jeez you can’t even make a new account? Download this app if you want a free taste of despair after the app falsely bans you and you can’t get your account back cause the feedback system is broken as heck and it’s not like they will think you’re falsely banned anyways.
Please ban him!
The app is amazing! It’s has so many creative art, events and etc! But, I do have a problem… There is this user who keeps hating on the lgbt community! Please, ban him from this app! he told people to kill them self! please ban him!

Dotpict
I’m banned from dotpict because I make the pixel art of justin bieber and I banned for nothing and this is not cool
Convenient
Very easy to get used to
Trash
This game is trash. IT LETS OTHERS DRAW THING BUT I CAN’T! WHAT DID I DO? I JUST A RANDOM PERSON but I guess I can’t post things than. I just drew Pokémon ;-; but otherwise from my experience this app is trash.
Good for pearler beads!
I got this app to make art to use as pearler bead designs and it’s really helpful so far! My only complaint would be having no option for a custom color palette; but that aside this is definitely a nice game and relaxing in a way to, I'm really happy there’s a clipping tool to!
I GOT BANNED FOR NO REASON
Um I’m sorry I just got banned for no reason. First I’m sure I didn’t post any thing that can get me banned. Second if I actually get banned because I actually did something, at least give me a reason why did I get banned. I have found multiple people getting banned for no reason and a person got banned when she quit dotpict HOW DID SHE GET BANNED THEN WHEN SHE DID NOT POST ANYTHING TO GET HER BANNED! Here give me a reason why did I get banned or it’s a bug or even a false alarm! Here my username is chicken noget if I did nothing wrong please unban me.
Luv it
His app has a lot of potential. I hope you can add a feature that you can put a image from your photos. I am a artist and I use a bunch of references.
AWESOME!! One thing though!!
This is such a great app and I love it so much, it’s the perfect pixel painting app for anyone who doesn’t want to just go off of pre-made drawings!! Just one thing I’d like you to add. The layers help SOSOSOOOO much! But, can you add a way to rearrange the layers? I keep forgetting to make a color layer before my line art and I always use difficult line art to fill up with the bucket. But, anyway, this game is awesome! Keep up the good work!!
Good, but..
It’s a good pixel art app, not gonna lie, but my account got banned for literally no reason. Now, I can’t get back into the community, or post my art. It’d be really nice if you fix the system, this made me exceptionally angry.
Add onion view to animation
The ui is basically dang near perfect but with the animation setting its kinda annoying not being able to see the last frame in the frame you are looking at, which makes it alot harder
WHAT THE FLIP
hello I enjoy making pixel art but I was nearly done and messed up one of the colours I did the back thing and it erased all the work I had done I’m not happy I was really proud of it and now I have to do it again
Like the app but...
It’s always crashing. I’ll have the app on for only like 30 seconds and it’ll just crash immediately. I’d like the app more if I could actually play it... ~NoodleDoodles
